The Forestwood Garden tea room is a great place with very nice decor and ambience. The food is consistently very good and beautifully plated and presented. The service is outstanding. Sylvia, Yolanda, and Kevin the baker are very friendly. My family had a tea party here during spring break and the food and service were excellent. First time trying the tea room. Not busy at 1:00 on a Monday, I am sure weekends are since located in an Antique Mall. We ordered chicken Waldorf salad which was a scoop of chicken salad with a few slices of apples on the plate, with 3 small tea sandwiches- cucumber, pimento cheese and maybe banana bread. We shared a slice of strawberry cake. A nice light lunch for a really hot day. Service was good. read more

Southwest Chicken Salad is one of best salads in town and more than generous serving. Grilled Chicken and Veggies is so fresh and perfect for a sumptuous low carb meal. It just takes one sip to know every soup is homemade from scratch. Fruit is always cut fresh, as are the salads and produce on sandwiches. It might be just a little slow when full because of the scratch and made-to-order quality. And the bakery case is to die for - all homemade, never commercial. Did not enjoy my lunch here at all. Half a chicken salad sandwich on regular white bread that I could have made better at home and a tasteless chicken tortilla soup. The soup was more of just a plain chicken soup that unfortunately had no flavor. I had ordered a side garden salad which I couldn't even eat since the iceberg lettuce was old. This place to me seemed more comparable to low grade cafeteria food at best. The name suggests this is a tearoom however they do not have full tea service. The waiter just threw a basket of instant tea on the table and said they don't do tea service. Definitely will not be back here. Poor food and not a true tearoom. read more

I like to come to Forestwood Antique Mall to browse around and look for hidden treasures. Also, my mother-in-law owns an antique store in another state, so she always likes to visit when she's in town. I had never eaten at the tea room because, I'm going to be honest, I thought it was for old people. I assumed the food would be bland and boring. My mother-in-law suggested we go during her most recent visit, and I figured why not. The food was super good. I ordered the pot roast, which was listed as one of the specials, and it was so good, definitely a nice warm comfort food. Since I got my choice of soup or salad, I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, which was perfect. Service was also very nice: the young lady that seated us and took our drink orders and the gentleman who was our waiter were both super polite and nice and didn't make me feel like a nuisance with my baby in a stroller (new mom here, still navigating how to deal with a baby in public!). I will definitely come back; hopefully i can make my husband come sometime before my mother in law returns, but if not, the baby and I may just have to make a stop on our own! read more

We had brunch here with our daughters. They sipped tea and ate pastry's. It's a great place to take little girls to experience a real tea party. Super cute tea room. Awesome service. We tried the grilled pimiento sandwich - surprisingly tasty, fruit plate delicious and lots of fruits, and avocado stuffed with chicken salad - so so good and not too much mayo added. I did ask about the crab meat... It's imitation so I decided on the chicken. We chose two hot teas and we each got a pot of hot water and had like 5 tea bags of tea haha... Awesome price for what we had. We ended the meal with the strawberry cake which was perfectly moist and sweet! read more

Neat hole in the wall tea room cafe inside an antique store! Way in the back there is a little cafe open only for certain hours for tea time lunch or brunch on weekends. Friendly staff buzzing around! Popular with the mature crowd apparently! But everyone is nice! The teacups and pots are adorable and make me want to start collecting some! The cake and pie selection is good! I recommend getting the chicken fried chicken with a side of cream of mushroom soup! Comes with mashed potatoes and green beans! So flavorful and crunchy on the outside! The sauce they put on it is amazing! It's probably mostly cream or butter but so good! Haha! The strawberry chicken salad was huge and healthy! I like this place...it is a tearoom in the back of the Forestwood Antique Mall. The menu consists of several items, from salads, sandwiches, soups, to full dinners. There are always a few daily specials as well. Everything I have tried is really good and served by the same great people that have been there since I have been coming here. I always save room for the house-made desserts...they are yummy! Two of my favorites are the coconut cream pie, and the strawberry cake. My wife loves the Italian Cream Cake and the German Chocolate...whatever you do, just make sure you leave room for dessert, or at least take one home with you! read more

This place is very adorable - it's inside of an antique mall, so there's a bonus! The service was prompt and attentive. Our waiter was on his first day; however, the manager was training him, so we probably got the best service possible! The food: The four of us all ordered something different, and sampled each from one another. We all agreed that the pot roast was to die for - moist and flavorful! The crab cakes (2 come with the meal) were good - nice crunchy texture without being too greasy. The salads were lovely - well balanced. The french onion soup was my personal favorite - perfect in every way! (The other guests that I dined with are not fans of french onion soup, so they did not try it.) My 13-year-old is a picky eater - she ordered chicken quesadillas - nothing special, but definitely edible. The avocado enchiladas were the dish that I was most looking forward to. I wanted to compare to the ones that I make at home for possible ideas. They were really chicken enchiladas with white sauce with a little avocado inside and some outside as a topping. I ate them, and liked them, but I would get the pot roast next time I visit. For dessert, we all shared a piece of cherry pie - classic and flawless. I should also mention that the girls shared a tea pot. One tea pot is only $3.50 and serves 2 people. It was served in fun, antique china - added to the experience for sure! Saw this listed on Groupon and decided to give it a try. This gem of a restaurant is inside an antiques mall and was truly better than expected. Everything was freshly made and tasted great. The menu is varied and they also have daily specials. Along with our beverages we each received a small cup of hot gazpacho soup, which was fantastic. I had the cream of spinach soup and the chicken panini sandwich with a side of fresh fruit (the fruit came with a poppy seed dressing). Both were excellent. My husband had the french onion soup and a chicken salad sandwich. He said they both tasted great. Since we were seated by the dessert case we couldn't pass up trying the chocolate pecan pie. It was served warm with chocolate syrup drizzled on it (a la mode was an option that we passed on). All I can say is DELISH! The service was fantastic, friendly and very efficient. They also serve Sunday Brunch. We will definitely be back. read more
