Hands down my favorite place in the peninsula. They do an excellent job. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish it could be quieter - that is, less cross-talk between the technicians! A manicure is supposed to be relaxing and a treat - it's difficult to relax if people are hollering at each other across the salon! Similarly the technicians are sometimes having a loud conversation on their phones while doing your nails. That's not relaxing at all! read more

I have had good experiences at this nail salon. There were a couple of times I happened to be in the neighborhood for other reasons and was able to get drop ins for plain manicures and touch ups. The service is prompt, the place is clean and I find it reasonably priced for the basic services. Although it's not my go-to place, I've been pleased to have them as an alternate. read more

My second time here and loved their service. I did a walk-in and told them I have only 40 minutes for a shellac. They did an amazingly quick job and did not compromise on quality. This is THE place in Los Altos to get shellac. They have UV driers built into their stations, and all their tools come sterilized in packages. The technicians are very polite and I've never been to a salon more meticulous with your cuticles. It's a good price too, a few bucks cheaper than the other places for a really excellent job. read more

I have been coming here since they first opened and I am always 100% satisfied when I leave. I usually get a wax and pedicure and the prices for the quality are unbeatable. I drive 20 min to get here so I have tried other (closer to home) salons but they are ALWAYS more expensive and NEVER as good. So I always come back here. read more

Amazing! I just moved to Los altos from Boston and literally googled "pedicure 94022" and Forever Nail Spa came up. I was in such dire need of a pedicure I just said let's go and they were able to take me right away - 10 pedicure chairs in total! Very impressive. A regular pedi is $23 so I decided I could splurge on the "Relax" pedi and at $26 it is almost an hour of complete heaven: sugar scrub massage followed by a fragrant oil massage followed by a hot stone massage all ending in a beautiful professionally done pedi! The girls are all really nice. Sometimes I get out of work around 630 and they'll stay open late. They have a good selection of shellac polish. Prices are good, especially for Los Altos!! I like the pedicure with the hot stone massage. Van has done my nails a few times and she is the best! The only thing I don't like is that they always have cold water in the bowl when you're getting a manicure but they'll warm it up if you ask. read more

My experience at Forever Nails was not the most relaxing, but my nails look great therefore I will be returning. Their estimated 15 minute wait turned into 30. Halfway through my manicure, my technician had to stop so she could go wax two walk-in customers. Again, her 5 minute estimation was off my a good 15-20 minutes. The good: Every time I've gotten a pedicure done here, the women have been really sweet and done a great job. The price for a pedicure is better than I've seen elsewhere in Los Altos or Palo Alto: $22. They play mellow music, and at a nice low volume. Pleasant space, great location. The bad: The last two times I've been here, they've said they'll take care of me right away, and then put me in a chair with my feet in water for 15 minutes while they proceed to disappear. The last time it happened, they said it would be a few minutes before they could give me a pedicure, which is fine, but when I said I was going to leave to run an errand and then come back, they changed their tune, said they'd do it right away, put me in a chair with my feet in water, and disappeared for 15 minutes. I was in a hurry, and didn't appreciate being lied to. The ugly: The second to last time I went there, the woman cut too close with the cuticle trimmer, which hurt a bit at the time, and then got infected, causing pain for over a month. The next time I went in, a different woman cut the same toe too close, causing immediate pain and blood. My days of going there may be over, which bums me out, because I really liked it for about a year. The weird: As I was waiting (and waiting) for someone to come and do my toes, I could hear loud snoring coming from an adjacent room in the salon. This is a nice nail salon in a good area close to downtown Los Altos. I had a shellac manicure done by Ann, and she did a great job. The reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is that: 1. It took almost an hour and a half, she worked so slowly. It's good to be precise but the drawn out manicure actually stressed me out because I had somewhere to be and had assumed it wouldn't take more than 45 minutes and 2. The nail technicians were eating sunflower seeds/ spitting them out on one of the nail stations, which I thought was kind of disgusting. I might be back for the $29 shellac mani, and just hope that I get someone that moves quicker. read more

I saw this spa off of Yelp, though I didn't go for the Yelp deal. Initially I went in to get my gel nails removed and get a manicure. What a wonderful nail spa, and it's quite tucked away next to the Walgreens. The owner is quite involved, and is very sincere and tries very hard to maintain a wonderful customer service. Kim did my manicure, and she was so nice. She did a very nice job, and she was nice to talk to. Good atmosphere, and clean, the girls who work here are all very friendly. Prices here are reasonable. Me and my friend didn't make a reservation and they were busy, so we said we would come back. We came back around 7 and they stayed open to take care of me and my friend. We both got pedicures, the new gel kind. They took their time making sure everything was perfect. They didn't complain that they had to stay later and were completely nice to us. I got a fill and the lady was not gentle with the filing tools and cut my skin along the cuticle on multiple fingers. Now, my cuticles are covered in mini scabs as you can see from the photos! I had an appointment at 5pm and they close at 6. She took longer than an hour but made my friend and I feel awkward and uncomfortable for still being in the salon as they were cleaning up. Used to come here for a long time, but I've never seen something so unprofessional. The place is absolutely filthy, the waxing room is never cleaned nor is their supplies. Next to the sink there is a back room with mold, dirty towels and dishes. The manager can hardly speak English, so he always messes up the appointments. I had to wait 35 minutes after my appointment was scheduled for the lady to even start my nails because they're so unorderly. On top of that, while you're trying to relax when getting your nails done THERE ARE SCREAMING TODDLERS RUNNING AROUND THE SALON. They will pick up their phone while doing their nails as business as usual, and they're so so so loud. Screaming children. Unbelievable. Oh, and if you don't take exact count of how much everything cost they'll try to charge you more because they can get away with it. read more

Just came back from a pedicure at this place and had a good experience, so I'm happy to help up their yelp cred. I usually avoid strip mall type nail salons because the odds are high that my poor toes will get tortured and mangled. However, the staff here was very good. The owner, Michael, stopped by to say hello and ask how I found out about their place and to thank me for coming. My technician was friendly and also gentle, yet meticuluous with my pedicure. I got a pedicure here for the first time this week and they did a great job. Cleaned up my cuticles and feet. Another lady offered to do a nail design on my toe for free, which of course I accepted. It was reasonably priced. I was the only one in the shop for about an hour so I'm assuming not alot of people know about this place yet. I wish I had better things to say about Forever Nails. But I don't. One of my girlfriends was getting married a couple weeks ago so we made an appointment in advance for 7 girls to come in for mani/pedis 6:30 on a thursday night. Only 6 girls working. OK, one of us will wait since one is late anyway. Two of us want acrylic manis, but only one girl working can do them. By the time we figured that out one of us was getting her set while the bride was waiting. There was a major laps of communication between us and the girls due to language barrier, but they say "Don't worry, another girl is coming, she can do them too!" without telling us its going to take her 45 min to get here. By the time she shows up its 8:15 all but one of the group was finished at that point. The bride understandably lost it, I feel a bit bad for that the woman came all the way, but really? No warning how long it would take her to get there so we could call her off? Incredibly the last girl was STILL finishing up her nails at 9pm. TWO AND A HALF HOURS, 150 MIN for a basic pedi and acrylic nails. And surprise- they need a fill a week later. The bride ended up getting her fingernails done the morning of her wedding elsewhere. Granted, we where not specific as to the type of manicures each girl wanted when making the call, but when you have a large bridal party coming in I would expect them to be a bit more aware in the scheduling. They also told another person on the phone to come in- no problem she can be squeezed in (and she was)- when we had girls who had been there still waiting on services. End of story: Acrylic set- Subpar job, Expensive, takes forever and needs a fill in a week. one star. Basic mani- Lovely basic job, decent price, if the staff is available. three stars. Basic pedi- Lovely basic job, decent price, if a seat is available. three stars. My office is right around the corner and I finally decided to stop in one morning. I got a regular mani/pedi ($32, everyday price) and am extremely happy with the experience and results. Lynn (who did my manicure) and Van (who did my pedicure) are attentive, very friendly, and meticulous. I have extremely ticklish feet and Van made me fee comfortable and was very understanding as I laughed or jolted a few times as she worked on my feet (and she was quick to avoid any real ticklish spots without needing me to ask). Very clean (all tools are sterile and pre-packed) and a great thorough service for the regular/baseline mani/pedi: massage chairs, hot stone massage included in the regular pedi (!), forearm massage with the mani. Excellent selection of OPI and other product lines. Although they were busy they didn't rush me out. Very relaxing. I knocked off one star only because my manicure, while very good, could be a bit better (two nails have some smudging or pooling near the bed, certainly not terrible though). The only good thing about this place is the owner. He was very nice and made sure I was ok during my services. Now the services themselves...not ok. I paid $45 for the deluxe mani/deluxe pedi. The lady doing my pedicure had NO clue what she was doing. The deluxe includes pariffin wax and she poured it all over the floor rather then keeping it in the bag for my feet. Polish on my toes always lasts at least 3 weeks. It's been 2 days, and it has pretty much all chipped off. Not to mention the way she shaped my toes. My lady I usually go to has her way of making them perfect. She ruined them. My finger nails, that tech was nice but the polish looked horrible and didn't even paint the whole nail! The shaping is soo square that it hurts my boyfriends head when I rub it! Not to mention I grew my nails out and they are all different lengths...I'll stick with Pinkies! At least their polish lasts and they help you out with whatever you need!! read more

At first I was hesitant, but he was very sincere about making amends. I agreed, and wow, I am so glad I did! The employees were so attentive. This is a great place. I am not a" Do your nails every week lady", just a few times a year. I actually really had a great time here. They are careful, pleasant workers. Do a fantastic job with my poor old feet. I love the liners in the tubs,. I love the hot stones and massage. I just had knee surgery, but will be back there as soon as I can walk.
