The hot press sandwich was a little dry. My only real complaint? The noise of metal chairs on the concrete floor. And then about 4 weeks ago I had brought my mom here for an early dinner. We ended up moving over and settling for Cheba Hut. Due to the wait time. We waited over 20 minutes just for water. Yes it was busy, but there was definitely not enough staff on duty. Now Cheba Hut and Fork &Fig are not comparable. Fast forward to today and there's only two girls on staff. I looked up the menu before going so I knew what to order and what to expect. Their prices are for good quality, fresh food. I met a friend for his birthday dinner. Our server Elijah was amazing! Funny, efficient and knowledgeable. We started with the brussel sprouts and they were delish. We ordered 2 burgers and split them and chose our own sides: Pork belly burger and cotija corn. I love Fork and Fig and it's a regular choice- great quality food, interesting menu that rotates every so often, service is excellent even if they are slammed. The last time we were there they were so busy the kitchen staff was running food too- truly a Team effort and they really care! The only downside is the acoustics inside are bad- (loud) but that is easily solved by sitting on their lovely patio, which is now heated! read more

The small cluster of businesses shares common open-space, however, and we saw what looked to be a fine patio that we imagine would be excellent during all warmer weather. Plus, we saw servers with piled plates dart out the doors and across the patio so we assume one can actually sit in other establishments on the common and order from this kitchen. We had a table inside, however, and were able to watch our meal be created in the open kitchen. My burger was a thing of beauty, juicy, meaty, and all things one desires deeply when she orders a burger. Raz's salad had fabulous flavors which all came together to make a remarkably tasty dish. This place was very cute! My friend and I went for dinner and it was so delicious we couldn't stop talking about it! I had the salmon sandwich with sauteed squash and she had the salmon wrap. We were both impressed because we had never had salmon in sandwich form! When we first walked in we were asked where we'd like to sit: inside, outside, or at broken trail. Yep! This is a good place for lunch. Although it's not super big, it can accommodate smaller groups and overflow can find a covered patio outdoors. Right across the street from the Sheraton Uptown and next door to the Broken Trail Brew pub, the Fork and Fig really does bring a great little twist to your dining opps in NE ABQ. They work with the Trail Brew next door to make walking back and forth and patronizing both easy and pleasant. The Fork's menu recently changed to add some new fun and bring back some "oldies but goodies". Everything I've had here in my multiple stops has been well worth ordering! Everything I've had here included some sort of taint to the flavor due to problems with their butters or oils. From truffle oil that was too strong to peanut oil that was overcooked. This is a sensitivity for certain palettes, and not something that everyone will experience. Many people will like the food a lot, but it's just not for me. Both times I visited we were given the option to dine across the way at the brewery (big plus if you want to enjoy a beer with your meal. If I could give more stars I would! This place is simply amazing. Came out with the family and everything was so tasty. Ordered the filet wrap cooked medium rare. All fresh ingredients. Crispy peppers, crunchy onions, tomatoes, creamy feta cheese. They also press the wrap so it gives it a nice little crunch. The wraps come with a side and I got the fingerling potatoes which are tossed with rosemary and thyme topped with Parmesan cheese. I highly recommend giving fork and fig a try!
