Have been here two times now as it was recommended by a decent amount of friends. The first time was dinner, I got the salmon and my fiance got steak. Both dishes were very mediocre, nothing special and would not recommend either dish. The most recent time we dined here was for brunch and we got the steak and eggs, cinnamon roll, and bloody Mary's. Cinnamon roll and bloody Mary's were great, the steak and eggs was just ok. It was cooked perfectly but just not a great cut of meat, very chewy even at medium rare. The ambiance was decent and the service was great. We might give it one more try but overall, we found it to be overpriced with no stand out flavors or dishes. read more

What an incredible culinary experience! The chef clearly knows what they're doing, and the prices are unbelievably reasonable, and the portions are gigantic. Decided to try Fork and Plough out for my last vacation meal and I am so glad I did. The bar service from Leah was outstanding! The Crawfish Hush Puppies were the perfect light and crisp starter served with cocktail and pickled okra (!my fav!). We were also treated to an amuse-bouche (a house made mini-criossant with chicken salad) courtesy of the house. I ordered the Due South Cold Brew Martini with Chai tea vodka and it may have very well been the best "espresso martini" to ever cross my lips! The old fashioned was equally divine. We had the pork chop biscuit & classic breakfast with house made sausage. While all were delicious the sausage and sausage gravy were definite standouts! In our family's phase of life, it's a little harder find restaurants that both have a high quality level of food and an environment where we can take our small kids. We've been here 5-6 times before and always had a great experience both with food or service, but usually it was for a date night. Yesterday my husband and I brought a friend visiting from out of town, and our almost 7 month old and 3.5 year old. The staff was so welcoming and accommodating and that means so much to me as a mom! The seasonal salad right now was absolutely amazing. I could eat it every day. The brussel sprouts were fantastic as always - I get them every time. I also had a sangria that I loved. We went for brunch and as always, it was amazing! We started with a cinnamon roll and the infamous brussel sprouts, which are flash fried and topped with a spicy mayo like sauce. The brussels were a little overcooked, but very flavorful and one of my go to items apong with fried oysters. The appetizers were delicious. For entrees, we got the shrimp & grits and the scallop benedict. Being from Charleston, I'm picky about my shrimp & grits. The grits were creamy, the shrimp were juice and tail was off, and the gravy was amazing. I liked that they added okra. The scallop benedict was a really unique brunch items. If you're in or traveling through the Greenville area- this place is a MUST try. Cannot stress that enough! In an attempt to eat my way through this city Fork & Plough holds the trophy for most delicious meal. Farm to table concept equipped with local ingredients and a frequently changing menu. I love a good farm to table concept but I love it even more when that concept is done exceptionally well! We came in on Sunday for brunch. I highly recommend making a reservation. There were a few open seats at the bar but this place was packed. When making a reservation you have the option of choosing high top or standard know that if you choose high top you'll be in the bar. The inside has a welcoming ambiance, well lit and overall great environment for friends/family/kids/date night- all of the things! What's better than a creative brunch? Creative brunch cocktails of course. We had a mimosa & citrus spritz. The mimosa came with an OJ ice cube (very classy) & the citrus spritz was an aperol spritz made with grapefruit soda (my favorite). Both were awesome! We asked for a side of OJ because the ice cube wouldn't melt fast enough and I will say their OJ on its own tasted fresh squeezed- oh so good. Food menu seemed like the type of menu where everything listed was the right choice. I adore a brunch menu that goes out of its way to be unique and different! This was all of that and then some. We went with the soft shell crab Benedict & the shrimp and grits. Both were amazing! Flavor town? Absolutely accurate. The soft shell crab had the perfect crunch without being too over done. It came on a biscuit that was so mouth watering I'd order just a plate of those biscuits and be a happy camper. Being in the south, I've tried a lot of shrimp and grits but this by far has been THE BEST. The amount of flavor with every single component of this dish is seriously unmatched. Highly recommend both dishes for brunch but at the very least try a biscuit and some grits! Service was great! The bartender gave great recommendations and was very honest/genuine. If dining here isn't enough they have a whole case of local meats to take home as well! Lots of other local goodies (coffee, wine, beer to name a few). I came here for restaurant week with a friend. We did have reservations but we did wait a bit before we had a table. The hostess did apologize which was fine. We had a cute table by the window. Service was good. They had the restaurant week menu so I opted for the crispy pork belly appetizer, blackened shrimp gnocchi and the key lime pie for dessert. The pork belly app was wonderful. Very large portion. Everything combined with it was delicious. The gnocchi was good and not too heavy. My shrimp was cooked good which was much appreciated. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked. The pork braised sauce was perfectly rich and decadent. I could have bathed in it. I also did. Had a wonderful dinner with family on a Friday night. This was my third time. Food is excellent. What I enjoyed most about our recent dinner was the ambience. The lighting is bright enough to see but not glaring, there is enough space between tables so you don't feel crowded, there wasn't blaring music so we could hear and enjoy our conversations. Had brunch here at 11am on a Sunday. The menu had a good variety and the coffee was AMAZING for only $2.50 and unlimited refills. I enjoyed my order- the huevos rancheros, but it was a little heavy for me. The prices are a little steep but it does seem like they use a lot of locally sourced ingredients (ex: their coffee is roasted right down the road at Due South roasters). I loved the atmosphere and it was a super cute touch that they have fresh flowers on each table! I cannot recommend a restaurant where their wait staff is untrained, their kitchen cannot get their plates out in less than 45 minutes and offers untested dishes on the menu. We ate there last week and ordered the lobster tail stuffed with crab. The lobster was served 45 minutes after the order was taken by the waiter. The lobster tail was served on an excellent vegetable risotto, but was overstuffed with an under seasoned crab stuffing and some sort of sauce poured over it. It was way too rich and just not tasty except for the risotto. I had asked the waiter about dish before ordering it and He told me it was new and he had not tried it, I asked the waiter to wrap the dish after I tried it and he took it in the back and I guess threw it away. When I asked him about it he apologized and said he was new. While the restaurant gave me a free wine and dessert. I would have rather had a nice meal served quickly after I ordered it. read more
