Came in for a quick lunch bite to eat. Atmosphere and decor seemed nice with a mix of both casual and luxurious. Large bar in the front, with the dining area behind it with a view into the open kitchen. Tried the shrimp niçoise salad. Tasty creamy dressing gave good flavor to all the veggies. Green bean, potato, olive, tomato, artichoke, and egg all topped with 3 jumbo shrimp. Some of the lettuce was a little wilted but overall okay. Pretty fresh and healthy lunch. Would like to come back and try some of the dinner menu and dessert next time. Thanks

We had great service at Fork. Attentive service, lovely friendly hostess and quick response to requests. Sadly, the food was not top notch. We split the twice-baked croissant which was slightly burnt. We both got the French Omelette which was delicious but the side of frisée curls was unattractive and unappealing. I enjoyed my cider and the Speed Revolver was...interesting. Overly sweet but different. Reminded me of an old-fashioned drink called the Smith & Kerns (vodka, Kahlua & soda). The place has a nice atmosphere and I love the wall murals.

    Scallops entree, cooked to perfection.

Excited to kick off Restaurant week here-- $60 pp plus $40 wine pairing option. Definite buzz at 730, significant noise level. One server for water (comped, a nice touch), one to take your order, one to clear, another to deliver the food. created some confusion. Fluke appetizer was outstanding, as were scallops. Wine pairing was awkward . When dessert was delayed, lovely Abbie (I think) comped a glass of sparkling rose. Wish we'd had a roll with meal, but otherwise a culinary delightt on a snowy evening.

Good Being tourists to this part of the world we wanted somewhere to celebrate our days in Philadelphia - Fork was found. In the old part of Philadelphia, it was easy to find. We made a booking on short notice and it was no issue. The waiter greeted us a took us to the table - carefully explained the menu, settled us in with water and took drinks order. Drinks/wine menu is broad but on the expensive side. The waiter was friendly and efficient and explained the Specials and the menu - we ordered and enjoyed the mood of the restaurant. We chose Mains and dessert - food arrived within reasonable time and beautifully set, the photos do not do it justice. It was delicious. The dessert was excellent. It was a beautiful meal. Relaxed mood in the restaurant. We had a good evening.

Dining experience is not as good as at the bar. Would return only for bar service. They're going for fine dining here but not hitting the mark. Service was sufficient, he was kind but just not as attentive as he should have been. Would recommend the bar experience.

We had a disappointing brunch experience here (10/11/2025). First issue -- the only bartender was also our server, and he was too busy with drink orders to give us attentive service. Aside from taking our order, he never checked in, and it was difficult to flag him down when we needed something. At one point, another server had to step in to help. Second issue -- my husband's steak and eggs came out rare when he ordered medium. It's unclear whether the bartender entered it incorrectly or the kitchen made a mistake, but since the steak was sliced and visibly rare, it never should've been served that way if the order was entered correctly. Third issue -- when the kitchen "fixed" it, they reheated the steak slices and brought them back on the same plate, where the scrambled eggs and potatoes were now lukewarm. For a restaurant of this caliber, the entire dish should've been remade. Reheating food that's already been served and putting it back on the same plate is a food safety risk, which is especially disappointing for a restaurant that boasts of being a James Beard Foundation award winner. Fourth issue -- our bartender/server never mentioned the issue to the manager. He delivered the check without an apology or any acknowledgement of what went wrong. I ended up requesting to speak to a manager, and the manager was clearly surprised about everything that happened. To his credit, the manager apologized profusely and comped our entire meal, even though the only menu item I wanted comped was the steak and eggs. I appreciate how the manager handled it and made things right, but I'm honestly surprised a restaurant with this reputation had so many basic service and food handling issues.

We came around opening for lunch with a party of 4. Our server was very friendly and informative. We ordered the beets, the burger, mushroom gnocchi, and curry chicken salad. The burger was phenomenal. The curry chicken salad was a little forward with this mustard taste and wasn't the curry I was hoping for. The beets were beautifully presented and also great. The dessert menu came and we were intrigued by the cheesecake with peppercorn meringue as well as the trifle. The peppercorn was barely there, but the sour apples were strong choice.

I really enjoyed our group dinner at Fork on Saturday night. Fork is not large on the inside, but is a romantic dimly light atmosphere perfect for a nice night out. The menu is well explained by the staff- separated into three sections by serving size smallest to largest. I was unimpressed with the cocktail list. I enjoyed an Aperol spritz before moving into a red blend wine by the glass. The bread service was sub par. The scallops on the appetizer menu are crudo style and are so good. It was my favorite bite- 10/10. Mushroom gnocchi was so light and fresh 10/10. The striped bass was beautifully cooked and the broth was so tasty (9/10). We tried the hazelnut trifle and it just wasn't for me. 3/10. Overall, I'd definitely come back again.

Fork is a beautiful restaurant with a lively atmosphere. We snagged two bar seats and enjoyed our evening. The restaurant week menu is a great deal at $60pp. We added the beef tartare appetizer as well, which is highly recommend. The corn soup was outstanding and perhaps the best dish we had! The burger was also very good. We also tried the beet salad, swordfish, and chocolate tart. The bar service was pretty prompt. I would come back again especially to sit at the bar.

Went to Fork for Mother's Day Brunch and our experience was underwhelming. The food was just... not tasty. There was nothing special to it. My poor mom was disappointed. And half of our group weren't even full! Based on other reviews, I'm willing to bet that perhaps this was a one-off - perhaps the pre fixe menu for the Mother's Day Brunch that we had is not representative of their usual menu. Other than the food, the service was excellent - the waiters were attentive, helpful at answering our questions, and refilled our waters in a timely fashion. They were the reason I chose 3 stars instead of 2.

As a Northern Liberties resident, I've visited Fringe Bar several times and have generally enjoyed the experience before my recent experience with the manager. Unfortunately, my visit on June 13 around 4:30 PM completely changed my opinion of this establishment. My friend and I were seated and waited nearly 20 minutes before our food order was taken. Our server explained that their ordering system had gone down.... We were understanding and patient but to be honest it felt like she forgot. About 10 minutes later, we finally received our drinks, and our server shared that management had continued assigning her additional tables despite the issues, making it difficult for her to keep up. We sympathized with her and gave the staff plenty of grace. After waiting another 30 minutes, nearly an hour total since arriving, we still had not received our food. What made the situation even more frustrating was watching another table that arrived roughly 30 minutes after us receive their meals before we did. At that point, I approached Henry to ask about our order. I explained that we had been waiting for nearly an hour and that guests who arrived significantly later had already been served and they needed to hurry up with our food because we were hungry. Before I could even finish speaking, Henry interrupted me, stated that he would comp the food, and told us to leave. All I wanted was an explanation and asked that our order be prioritized after such a long wait. Instead of attempting to resolve the issue, Henry immediately escalated the situation and effectively removed us from the restaurant. The interaction felt dismissive, unprofessional, and completely lacking in customer service. Even another manager appeared surprised by how quickly our order was canceled and how the situation was handled. The entire experience left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. Mistakes happen. Delays happen. What determines whether customers return is how management responds. Unfortunately, Henry's arrogance, poor communication, and inability to handle a reasonable customer concern ensured that I will never return. The attached photos include timestamps documenting our visit and the lengthy wait and a photo of Henry so you can avoid him. DO NOT COME.

Huge bar, giant wall of liquor bottles, dim lighting, and a cool old-school vibe. I told the bartender that ordering a beer in a place like this felt like I was insulting him. He laughed and told me not to worry about it. The drink special was called "Naked and Famous," which honestly sounded like the perfect cocktail to order in honor of Jen. But then I spotted a dark beer on the menu that sounded too good to pass up. If you follow me, you know I'm slowly becoming a dark beer guy. I liked it a lot. The sandwich special was a cheesesteak. Sorry, I should've taken a picture of the menu. But I really enjoyed it, and for $18 it came with a mountain of seasoned fries, which feels like a bargain these days. Bomb Shell: the two people working absolutely crushed it. I don't know if they were understaffed or if Monday night got busier than expected, but they were working their tails off the entire time. Honestly - I wanted to love this place, but it didn't hit all the way home for me. What it did hit home for me were the vibes. I loved the interior decor, the small homey vibes , and I could feel the love and passion that went into this place. Small inside, cozy, and I think I only saw a total of 3 staff that ran the place. I really wanted to love them! To be perfectly honest, I'm probably not the best reviewer for this spot. I eat 80% vegan .. and cannot not remember the last time I had beef prior to this meal. However - I didn't find it to be particularly mind blowing. It was cooked to a good temperature , served with salt for you to tailor to your taste and oh I can't forget to mention how much I loved the chefs homemade hot sauce ( which they do sell on site ! ) it was solid , but not something I was personally blown away by for $90 and not something I'd "cheat" on my diet for again to eat. I felt similarly about the striped bass. It was cooked well, but I found it under seasoned. Overall, I don't think it's the spot for me but I DO think it's the spot for many.
