As of this posting, this place has p my been open for 4 weeks according to our server. Service was amazing. Attentive. Helpful. Very good. Appetizers- Empanadas we're delicious. Flavorful & just a tad spicy. The cilantro lime sauce was yummy. The loaded tator as an appetizer was actually a huge baked potato with all the fixings. So so good. The brisket bits on it were juicy & tender. Everything came out quickly & piping hot. I wish I could say the rest of the meal was just as great. The "freshly made in house corn Tortillas were cold and hard. The floor ones tasted as if they came from a bag. The fajitas were a bit lackluster in taste & didn't come with sides (usually served with rice & beans). The 3 tacos did come with the sides & they were good. I esp liked the beans that had a bit of a kick to them. Again, pleasant surprise. The desserts were sized for two. The peach cobbler wasn't hot, tho. The pecan pie was warm & as sweet as was expected. Both came with a vanilla ice cream scoop. Overall, good food. Think it'll get better with time. read more

Pros: The restaurant is very nicely decorated and we had a really good server. Also located in a good area with good parking. Cons: appetizer menu is limited and lacks most anything kids enjoy. The biggest disappointment is the amount of rules they supposedly have to follow. You cannot substitute anything on the menu according to our waitress. We had a party of 11, half of us got our food 16 minutes before the other half because "that's their policy on big tables" so we were told. No bread with a steak is just disappointing. The chicken tacos were dry and the tortillas were stiff. Overall very disappointing. read more

Terrible! Don't waste your time or money. Ordered gluten free tacos(which is on the menu) and they brought it out on flour tortillas. I asked them to take it back and fix with the corn tortillas. When they brought it back, 1/2 of the toppings weren't on the tacos. They hadn't steamed the tortillas and all the filling fell out. It was not edible. The waitress was very unfriendly and acted like getting the wrong meal was my fault. Do not recommend at all. read more

My husband and I stopped in here on our way to Tanger. Let me tell you, it was WAY better than expected! I ordered the smoked brisket sandwich and he got the country fried steak the cowboy way. The meat was juicy and tender and melted in your mouth! The BBQ sauce on my sandwich is made in house and was the perfect compliment to the brisket. The country fried steak was smothered in a bed of mashed potatoes and thick gravy! So delicious! Our server Daisy was an absolute sweetheart and gave us extra BBQ sauce to take home and to go drinks, and we didn't even have to ask for it. We ate here with family, total of 11 of us. 3 of the males got a Porterhouse Steak. This steak was $46.95! My husband ordered his medium rare. His came out medium well. The male server tried to say it was fine. It was NOT fine. Barely even pink inside. My husband was upset by the ignorance of Thai server. This is a steakhouse. The entire family wished we had just went to Outback. 3 of our guests ordered baked potatoes. Only 1 potato was left. So 2 had to find something else. My mother in law said the baked beans were dry. We came on vacation and we saw the restaurant is newer so we tried it and we sadly did not like it and would not come back due to the ticket time taking 45 minutes for a 9 top. Which 30 minutes would be understandable but the restaurant wasn't that busy. Our server was nice but overall not amazing one of our party members ordered a modification on their plate and then was told that it got sent to another table so it was remade. And when it was remade it did not have the modifications on it. I ordered a Mexican corn which had no flavor and was overcooked. And another person ordered the nachos which was a plate of cheese and a bunch of grease which was very unappetizing. Personally would not recommend for the price and poor service. read more

This is a pretty good place. This is a sea of tourist type places and this one was a little better than the rest. Staff was friendly, good service, and attentive. Just moved to the area. Server was nice, concerned and polite. It was his first couple of days. I would give him 5 stars. With that being said the food was a 1. Tacos and enchiladas were tough but edible. However the chile relleno was cold. and nasty. I asked them to reheat it and it was still nasty. I left it on my plate only taking one bite. KBS company is horrible to work for or even to eat at. Do not go work for them you'll end up hating you're life. If you eat there chances are you're paying top dollar for cheap food. On top of that, half of the staff including the kitchen,does not wear gloves when handling food. The drink station nozzles and sweet tea nozzles all have mold on them. They recieve food product that already is brown or is going bad and when shown to management they say they are too comp happy. Meaning they give discounts or pay for food that comes out bad too much. The food was outrageous. My family said this as well my cousin ordered a 5 ounce steak and it was almost like a 2 ounce steak and he didn't get fries. The employee's were gathered at the bar socializing and very loud.... the food was not good. The chicken fried steak had think batter but yet soggy and served on top of a pile of potatoes all smothered in gravy (only one side - no bread) my beef taco was OK, but the tamale, beans and rice were not edible. To be honest, we pulled into this place for lunch today because other places nearby were crowded. But I am really glad that happened. As we walked in, there was a person hand pressing tortillas. I got excited but worried about the prices - to my delight it all looked reasonable! Was excited to see some out of the ordinary menu items, too. The cocktails were inspired, service was great, food came out in a timely manner and looked great. The empanadas were kind of pie-crusty to me, but i've never been to fort worth so perhaps they are authentic to that area. Brisket was good, it is the thinly sliced kind however. I had the strawberry poppyseed salad which was the perfect thing on a hot day and a good portion size. Wish I could go back but we are just visiting, sadly. read more

From the first person that greeted us who said 20 minutes and we only had to wait for 10 minutes to our wait person Shawn who brought extra napkins to the table in the beginning to great quality of food and service. Ate dinner at FWTK....IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!! I had the nachos with brisket.Very tasty . For dinner, I had the chicken fried steak with the chili gravy. I highly recommend it. Nothing special. The tacos were, well, tacos. If I wanted tacos I'd go to a Mexican restaurant. We ordered the ribs but they were out. We had the nachos. They were ok. Not fabulous just ok. Too much cheese and not completely melted and not enough chips. We also had a salad that was as good as any. Overall just not impressed with the place. There were PLENTY OF EXTREMELY OBESE PEOPLE there so maybe they know something I don't? We'll probably try again (because we eat out almost every day) to get the ribs.
