They are known for: Special Lobster (A+) Beef Loc Lac (A) Clams with spicy sauce (A+) Chinese broccoli (B+) - depends on how thick or thin it is Pea shoots with garlic (A) Eggplant (A) Yang Chow fried rice (A) Reservations are highly recommended either by calling or thru Yelp. There are private rooms in the back on request if you have a larger party and seafood is always fresh as they have an aquarium with lobsters, crab, geoduck, and fish. The decor is charming with vintage trinkets along the side of the wall. There is a waiting area by the lobby and restrooms in the back of the restaurant. Since it gets so crowded and busy the restrooms could be tended better. Parking is available on the street otherwise you have to valet on the lot.

The 4 of us especially liked the white fish with basil and the shrimp with snow peas. The rice noodles with seafood and the kung pao were also good. That said, we like our food spicier, so we asked for chili oil and limes. Some dishes did have vegetables, but when I go again I'll order a vegetable dish. Service was stellar - personal, but never intrusive. I liked that we were seated immediately and still given time for our late guests to arrive. Food arrived quickly once we ordered. They were gracious about splitting the tab afterwards, but could easily have asked whether we wanted separate checks since we were 3 unrelated sets of adults that arrived separately. So, what could have been better? The chafing spoons were too small and too few, leaving us to pull the chafing plate to the edge of the lazy Susan and scrape. My dinner plate was too small, so I made a bit of a mess while eating. The main room is noisy, even with some empty tables, Next time I'll ask for a table in the quiet section (to the right when coming in the main door.) I've driven past Newport Seafood many times and not gone in because the parking lot was already full, and it's not my style to park elsewhere and walk over. However, on Monday at 5 PM, we found ample parking. All that said, Newport Seafood seemed at its best when serving special meals to large families all around us. I will think of them next time we celebrate a special family occasion.

The table setting was pretty nice. The menu looks very upscale. You could tell they put a lot of effort in making the menu looks so epic. We ordered the followings: - Array 36 Signature Roast Duck - Extra Duck Pancakes - Fried Salt and Pepper Duck Bone - Steam Black Cod with Pickled Vegetable - Snow Pea Leaves - Spicy Vermicelli Hotpot - Stir-Fried Beef with Rice Noodles - Black Truffle Beef Fried After a short wait, our foods came out one by one. The foods presentations were so nice. It definitely had that "Wow" factor. The Star of the show was definitely their Array 36 Signature Roast Duck. I missed the opportunity to film how they presented the duck and the carving. They carved the duck right next to our table. It was very nice to experience that. We had a wonderful time dining here. Ambiance: 10/5 - Yup, 10 out of 5. Service: 5/5 - Excellent services. Food: 4.5/5 - Food was Good. Some of the items look better than it tastes. If you want to impress someone, this is definitely the place to take them. A great place to take someone on a date.

I recently came back here again for a quick Sunday dinner and here are some of the key highlights:…read more * Parking was easy this time as I was able to find an available spot in the parking lot immediately. * I was able to check in 5 minutes ahead of time via Yelp and only waited 5 more minutes in person before receiving a text that our table was ready on Sunday at 7:30 PM. * One of the most efficient services for Chinese restaurants in the SGV (San Gabriel Valley) area as the staff wasted no time serving food, refilling water, and responding to a check request. * Ordered slightly different dishes this time and C1 Xiao Long Bao (juicy pork dumplings 8 pieces -$13.00) and C5 Beef Roll (6 pieces - $16.00) were A-tier dishes. Xiao Long Bao's flavor profile tasted more like steamed dumplings. Beef roll didn't taste as good as I remembered (probably because it had slightly less hoisin sauce), but it was still a good beef roll nonetheless. * Personally G4 Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon ($15.99) was a surprising discovery and an S-tier dish. Basically think of it as beef chow fun, but replace flat noodles with udon and add egg and bell pepper - excellent flavor profile. C3 Pan Fried Pork Bao (6 pieces - $13.00) were comparable to the ones from Kang Kang Food Court. 4.5 stars for the food with 4 items enough to feed 3 to 4 adults. I would say their noodle dishes like Beef Noodle Soup / Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon / Fujian Style Fried Vermicelli are slightly better than their dumpling dishes. Bump it up to 5-star for the excellent service. P.S. - There's another new location in Diamond Bar.

8/29/2026: Wow! Second visit almost exactly 1 year later, and this place still doesn't disappoint!…read more We pulled in to the parking lot around 8pm on a Saturday night, and the very ample parking lot was packed to the gills. There are several restaurants in the lot, but Mr. Dragon Noodle House seemed to be the busiest with several groups of people waiting outside for a table. I called and was told they're open until 9pm, but if you arrive before 8:40pm they will still seat you and you can order and dine. He quoted a 10-20 minute wait which didn't seem possible, but we took a chance and placed our name on the waitlist. I love the tablets that most restaurants in SGV use. It's so efficient! The host handed us a laminated menu and an order form after we checked in so we could figure out what we wanted even before we sat down. They get high marks for efficiency! Within 10 minutes, we were called to our waiting table. They are a well oiled machine! As soon as a party leaves, a team of 3 smiling staff converge on the table to clear the dishes, clean the table and re-set for the next patrons. We ordered our drinks and a Popcorn Chicken appetizer. Hubby says this is the best popcorn chicken he's had to date, and he's a bit of a snob! No dipping sauces needed. He ordered "No Spicy" and they brought chili powder on the side. They fried what I believe was fresh basil with the chicken and it was so tasty, I would request extra next time! It's well seasoned and crispy. The portion is easily generous enough to share with 4 or more people. Their 0% Sugar Green Tea is served icy cold in a huge beer stein, and is so refreshing! A perfect accompaniment to the meal. It comes in many flavors as well but I didn't want anything sweet. We shared an order of their Hot Oil Shrimp, Pork & Cabbage wontons in a bowl. Delicious, but if you're not a heat seeker don't forget to request it "mild". Now for what I considered the star of the table, their House Special Beef Noodle Soup. This is a dish that I love and am always looking for the best bowl.. and Mr Dragon is high up there. Don't come at me, but we had heard the hype about Corner Beef Noodle House and tried theirs last year. In an evening without a crowd we were virtually ignored when we walked in and I had to accost someone to seat us. The soup wasn't nearly as good as Mr Dragon, and their service couldn't compare. I'll have to give them one more chance. There was no room for improvement at Mr Dragon Noodle House. Beefy broth, tender chunks of beef and perfectly bouncy noodles. Yum!

Bolo bao / pineapple bun sandwich: 7/10. Feels messier and oilier here than at other locations. Definitely prefer the Macau sandwich over this. Bolo bao / pineapple bun with butter: 9/10. I feel like you get a mixed bag with servers. Most are super nice but we once had a server who didn't even ask my family how they wanted their eggs done, which was kind of weird. We usually come here for lunch either before our massage or after our massage, so it has become one of our regular places. That day, we stopped by for lunch before our massage. I ordered my favorite dish here, the Shrimp with Cashews, and my friend ordered the Seafood Noodle. I've been coming to this restaurant many times, but surprisingly, this was the first time I had ever seen the Seafood Noodle on the menu. I was curious about what it was like because my friend told me it is one of her favorite dishes. So, that day, I finally got to see it for myself. It came with two pieces of fresh ramen noodles, vegetables that looked like bok choy, and seafood underneath, including what looked like squid. I tried a bite, but honestly, it wasn't really my taste. So, I mostly enjoyed my favorite Shrimp with Cashews with lots of rice. I ate quite a bit, but there were still plenty of shrimp left, so I told my friend to finish them. My friend ended up eating quite a lot of the shrimp, too. Another thing I really like about coming here for lunch is that they offer unlimited rice, which is always a nice bonus. After we finished our meal, they brought out complimentary oranges. The oranges are always so fresh and delicious, and I really enjoy having them at the end of the meal. The servers are also always friendly and attentive, and they are quick to bring anything we need, which was really good. Since we went around lunchtime that day, we also got to see the servers sitting together around a large round table, having their own meal. It was actually nice to see them all eating together during their break. Overall, Boston Lobster is always a reliable go-to spot for us, especially when we're in the area for a massage. The food is satisfying, the service is friendly, and the unlimited rice and fresh complimentary oranges are always a nice touch. Since my friend drove that day, I paid for both the lunch at this restaurant and the dessert we had at another place afterward.

They have a very large seating area which accommodate large parties, which is good. The food here is delicious. Everything was incredibly reasonable with the exception of the fish. We got the steamed sole$90 and the lobster which is about $250 and that's expected. I am missing about four dishes that I didn't get to take a photo because in between the service was a little slow. Some of our food came out slightly more than room temperature which tells me that they probably have a lot of this pumping out. Nonetheless, the food was good. Our family enjoyed it with about nine dishes. We paid 650 with tax and tip.
