So I've been putting off this review for two reasons: 1) I've been afraid that I'm seeing this spot through rose-colored glasses because I was so eagerly anticipating their opening, and 2) I kind of selfishly don't want to share and increase my wait times... But sharing is caring, so you're welcome. Food - Seriously delicious. We've never had anything we don't love here. Honestly. I'd say breakfast is really where they shine. We've tried the Four Friends Grits, Bluegrass Benedict, Breakfast Burrito, Brisket Hash and Eggs, and Georgia Style Po' Boy. It's really hard for me to *not* order the grits every time because they're so delicious, and they still win as my favorite, but I haven't ever regretted my other choices. If I had to pick something wrong out of the food, I'd say that one time my potatoes (on the side) were a smidge salty. So there. (Sidebar - we took a friend visiting from San Francisco here the other morning and he declared it the best breakfast he's ever had. And we've gone to a *lot* of breakfast spots in SF together.) Atmosphere/Service - Fortunately, we've never visited on a weekend morning, so I'm not sure how crazy it is then (I imagine pretty nuts). It's small, it's delicious and popular, you'll probably wait... and it is a bit loud. Okay fine see, I have another thing I can find wrong - the acoustics plus small building plus lots of people including children equals it can be loud. Service has always been great - friendly, helpful, your coffee cup never goes empty. I haven't had the pleasure of hanging on the rooftop deck or the outside side of the bar yet, but I'm pretty psyched about it. In conclusion - quit reading my love letter and just go. Seriously. I've had two different experiences here. The first time I sat at the outside bar on the sidewalk. Was served quickly, had the four friends grits, and they were amazing. The next time we sat on the rooftop and the food took about 30 minutes to get to our table and was not as hot as we would have liked (but at that point was so hungry). Food was ok. Had an omelette that was $9 which is somewhat normal. What isn't normal is having a tiny mimosa for $9 in Stapleton. What is so good about Stapleton? Was not even bottomless. The pancakes were great. This is the first place I've found in Colorado that knows how to cook grits since I left New Orleans. The quality of the food is evident as is the freshness. The place overall wasn't bad. It had lunchroom style seating that gave an "everyone is welcome" type of vibe. The staff was friendly and extremely welcoming. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, (which I order at every breakfast spot I got to) and I have to say that they were not up to par for my experienced B & G pallet. The gravy came out cold and you could see the coagulation of the grease, no bueno. The biscuits where also a tad bit hard which easily could have been remedied by having gravy at the proper temperature. Overall 3 stars read more

This place had the best gluten free pancakes I've ever had in my life. I also had the warm kale salad and it was incredible and very hearty. They definitely give you enough food in the portions. They were very accommodating with my diet restrictions and even had alternative creamers and the coconut cream was divine. We came here for breakfast after an early morning landing at DEN mid-week. Great service and amazing gluten free options. The best pancakes we have ever tried, they taste like a real pancake!! EXCELLENT as always!!! In my humble opinion their Southwest Breakfast Burrito is one of the best breakfast burritos in town. I was there with my wife and 22 month old daughter and the server was excellent. I'm sorry that I can't recall his name but he went out of his way to accommodate a picky toddler and her cavewoman style eating habits . Yum! This little gem was a treat! The mushroom sweet potato hash with eggs were amazing! The Smoky Mountain BLT was different from any BLT that I've ever had! Fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese spread. Even the beverages were tasty. Cloth napkins, instead of paper were a nice touch. The plates on the tables around us looked so good.Service is great! I am a huge fan of this place. It's always crazy busy, but it is for a reason. The food is excellent, and the staff is always more than accommodating. I have been there several times since they have opened, and I have never been disappointed. I only have a few recommendations. #1 They should expand their menu on the rooftop patio. I would love to go up there and order a full meal. Disappointing that they only have 4 appetizers that can be ordered up there. #2 They should expand their liquor variety. It is very limited, so if you have a particular choice of vodka, whiskey, or other, you will will likely be disappointed. #3 The food is excellent! So why are they only open until 2:30pm? For those of us that work normal business hours and don't leave work for lunch, we only get to dine here on the weekend. Seems like a huge opportunity lost for this establishment. They could do very well if they expanded their hours. As I have already mentioned, the food is original and pretty incredible. The staff has never disappointed me. My favorite bartender / server is Cait. She is so friendly and welcoming, and brings warmth to this establishment. She always makes sure everything meets and exceeds your expectations, and if they don't, she goes the extra mile to fix it. I'm very impressed! read more

Chose to have breakfast here while in Denver for a wedding. We sat at the outside bar because it was a beautiful day and our friend had her dog with her. (They even provided a water dish for the dog) The menu options are unique and incredible so it was hard to choose. I wound up ordering The Kitchen Sink and chose the cheesy grits with the house made sage sausage and biscuit on the side. Delicious! On a business trip, this place was recommended for breakfast. Ordered sausage and eggs, grits and a pancake. I'm not sure how the food was prepared but there was no flavor or heartyness to be had. If you're looking for a filling southern breakfast, this aint your spot. The sausage was sweet, like absurdly sweet. The eggs had no flavor whatsoever and the grits were blah. The pancake was pretty good, super thin but was fairly tasty. I see the reviews are high, so maybe other items are better but the breakfast I had was disappointing. Today being Mother's day is probably the worst time to write a review about the experience but everyone should be trained to handle large parties. Eh. With the great reviews here I expected more. Menu is very one sided, and fat focused. Even the veggie omelette only has mushrooms and spinach in it. All breakfast potatoes are BBQ, and almost everything has cheese. All good just limited. Service was lackluster.
