If you're looking for bait and switch billing, this is a great place to go. I previously reported problems with billing here (see photo for previous review details). Owners reached out and gave me credit to use on future changes - the only reason I went back. Today, the billing problem happened yet again. The estimate I signed said ~$70 and yet I was charged ~$110. Just like last time, my concerns were brushed off and I was told this just "happens sometimes" and that some of the items were missing from my estimate. HOW is this at all an acceptable business practice? Furthermore, on one of the visits I made with the credit they gave me, I went in with low tire pressure (and my TPMS sensor on). They marked all tires as checked and within spec, yet not a single tire on my vehicle was within spec when I left; they hadn't been checked at all. I'll never go back. If this were the last place in the world to get an oil change, I'd learn to do it myself. I'll also be looking into reporting these problems up to corporate level Subaru.

Unfortunately I'm disappointed with Fox Subaru's service. I had a safety recall, and when I called the soonest they could fix it was almost 6 months out. Now skip ahead 6 months, recall has been done however I'm noticing that their work lacked quality. There are gouges on the dashboard, and the AC insert is popped out half an inch and won't go back in... I also have plastic molding that's cracked. All of which were in perfect condition prior to bringing it in. Although I'm thankful they fixed the recall, I wish I waited and brought it somewhere else. It's sad this dealership and service shop don't hold the same qualities as Subaru. -I've included pictures to represent-

Would not match a competitor price and did not seem too eager to work with us. I would recommend trying Subaru in muskegon instead.

I was accustomed to the level of service I received at the Mercedes dealership in Fort Lauderdale--professional, respectful, fair, and genuinely helpful. I assumed that same standard came with owning a luxury brand. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at Betten. From my first visit in 2023, I constantly felt like I was being upsold on services, and communication was difficult. They were hard to reach, not particularly helpful, and the overall customer service was lacking. At first, I thought maybe it was just a bad experience, but unfortunately, each subsequent visit was just as frustrating. Thankfully, I eventually got rid of my Mercedes and no longer had to deal with them. Unfortunately, we recently found ourselves dealing with Betten again after my partner purchased a 2021 G-Wagon from them with reasonably low mileage. From the very first phone call, the experience was incredibly disappointing. The staff were rude and immediately seemed to assume that we couldn't afford the vehicle, even laughing at us during the conversation. My partner decided to go in anyway, saw the vehicle in person, and ultimately purchased it. Just THREE days after taking ownership, the check engine light came on. The vehicle ended up needing approximately $15,000 in repairs, which thankfully Betten agreed to cover. Now, six months into ownership, we brought the G-Wagon back in for routine maintenance, only to find out it needs another $15,700 in repairs. Betten offered to cover $2,500 "for good measure." This is incredibly concerning for a vehicle that was supposedly thoroughly inspected before being sold. We're now looking at approximately $30,000 worth of repairs within six months of purchasing the vehicle. What makes this even more frustrating is that the issues aren't just about the cost. It's the entire experience--from the initial phone call, to the way we were treated when purchasing the vehicle, to the repeated mechanical issues and lack of confidence that the vehicle was actually inspected as thoroughly as it should have been. For a luxury dealership, I expect a much higher standard of customer service, transparency, attention to detail, and accountability. Unfortunately, our experiences with Betten Imports have consistently fallen far short of that standard. Between my experience with my GLC and now my partner's experience with the G-Wagon, I can't recommend this dealership. Two Mercedes vehicles, two very disappointing experiences.

After wandering around the offices, Matt, came over, checked us in, and showed us around. The customer waiting area was clean, spacious, and stocked with snacks, Starbucks coffee, bottled water and other refreshments. There was plenty of seating -- comfy chairs, big table, counter-style work stations with outlets, and even a separate kids' play area with a TV tuned to a kids channel. The adult area had a TV as well, but it was old and low quality, which was very surprising. We brought stuff to do while waiting, but they had some options like watch TV, look at merchandise displays in several areas, or wander around their Audi and Porsche showrooms. The service itself was a bit over the estimated time, but great. They washed and vacuumed our vehicle, which was a treat. A service coupon was available on their website, so the oil change cost $100 instead of $160. Since they couldn't accommodate us by end of the month, they honored the coupon even though it was past the expiration date. That was awesome.

When I opened the garage door, there were large drops of oil leading to a large puddle. I checked my oil in the morning and there was no oil on the dipstick. I noticed fresh oil around the top of the oil filter. I called Fox Ford, and talked to Mitch. I told him about the situation and after checking with the manager, he came on and told me they would send someone out to look at it, assess it, and then add oil so I could drive it to the shop. About 20 minutes later two guys showed up, checked the oil filter, and there was no gasket on it. They replaced the oil filter, added oil, and then one of the guys drove it to the shop. Chris, a manager, called me later and apologized profusely. He said they did another complete oil change and cleaned it all off. He apologized again and told me he was giving me a coupon for a free complete oil change and tire rotation. The two guys then brought the car back to me. They brought some disposable pads and a cleaner and cleaned up my garage floor and the pavement in the parking lot. Now THAT'S customer service! I was so impressed. I don't fault them at all for the mishap. Things happen. It's more about how a business handles it once they find out about the situation and Fox Ford gets an A+!

Since I've purchased many cars in my life, both new and pre-owned (both from private parties and dealers), I've had many experiences. Buying a pre-owned car is always a leap-of-faith, buyer beware situation. The car I bought had low mileage for the year and was represented to me to be in great shape. The service department went over the vehicle top to bottom and fixed or replaced anything which needed attention before they put it on the lot. A few days AFTER I purchased the car, I noticed something which escaped my attention during the buy process. There was a repair made by the previous owner on the right front fender which was not done well. In fact there was a 1 x 2" area where the paint was bubbling. Because the car was in such great shape and the fender issue was obscure, I figured I should have been more careful and now it's my problem. However, I also thought it's possible the dealer missed this issue as it appeared to me they made every effort to fully disclose the condition of the car when I bought it. I called Jen and explained the situation. She and Delta could have said "sorry" but instead she asked me to drive it in so they could look at it. After the professionals looked at it, they told me they would fix this problem at no additional cost to me. Wow. If you bought a car from a private party or probably any other dealer, the outcome of this situation would not have been so easy. It's obvious to me this dealer is taking the long view of business. Based on my experience thi time around and the last time around (2nd car I've purchased from them), I would strongly recommend this dealer and Jen Willlinger in sales.

Key Issues: Unreachable Staff: Calling the dealership routes you directly into an automated AI system that never connects you to an actual service advisor or manager. Unprofessional Communication: When correspondence actually occurs, it consists of sporadic, overly informal text messages rather than professional updates or documentation. Zero Follow-Through: Phone calls and emails go unreturned for days. They are quick to give verbal brush-offs on major service and repair issues, but refuse to provide written updates or official claim tracking numbers when requested. A brand like Porsche requires a service department that operates with transparency and urgency. Hiding behind automated phone trees and ghosting clients is unacceptable. I would strongly advise taking your vehicle and business to another dealer that respects their customers' time.

I want to say they told me they'd look at the car Tuesday, but didn't look at it until the end of Wednesday. It's possible I'm confused on that point, since I called some other mechanics first. Once they got the car in, they did the work right away. The woman working the customer side of things was knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Working with her made everything easy to manage. Complaints: - They for some reason "had to use a Denso" starter, which added a large amount to the final cost, and of course was marked up after that. Not sure why they needed to use a Denso, or why a remanufactured part cost more than twice the new parts at rockauto. - Bigger complaint: Looks like they used a remanufactured part, and no one asked or mentioned. So not only did I pay too much for a starter, but I thought I'd at least be getting a new one. - They replaced the air filter without asking and without naming it in the quote I was given over the phone. So another 20 bucks for something I could have ordered off Amazon and put in myself in 30 second. At least the filter was only about 4 bucks more through them than Amazon is charging during COVID, but it's about twice what I paid last time. It's really the principle of the thing. It's possible this stuff was just communication issues. I don't know why they "had to use a Denso", for instance, but also didn't ask about it. Because I had dropped the car off to get checked out, it's possible the air filter was something that should have been mentioned, but due to the nature of phone calls, it just slipped through the cracks as the woman was looking at the quote, and when I gave the go-ahead, the mechanics just did what I supposedly approved over the phone. So look, I have some concerns and some questions, but overall I'm guessing the work was done well. Using a remanufactured Denso means they probably made sure to use the "right" part even if it wasn't the cheapest. And the price (make sure you go on their website and print coupons first, and mention them before you make payment) and service are leaps and bounds better than what the local Toyota dealer offers. Besides, if they do a better job than most mechanics, it's worth paying a bit more to make sure it's done right. I'll probably come back here for the next thing that comes up, and hopefully next time there won't be any surprises or questions.
