OMG, what an EXQUISITE meal--My fried pork chop dish and hubby's vegan platter--chef's kiss perfection! My pictures do not do it justice! Chef Brian checked in during the meal to regale us with witty stories of cookng for luminaries like Mary J Blige, Eddie Murphy, Forrest Whittaker et al! It was the ultimate Chef's table experience!! Truly memorable!

You've got Forbes on one corner, Ugly But Honest Pizza on another, and Café Desta / 5 Points Market nearby, each are great for very different reasons. Chef Brian's absolutely belongs in that conversation. I came in with a friend who's spent a few years in the South and takes collard greens very seriously. To our surprise, the collards here are vegan and excellent. Great texture, deep flavor, and not an afterthought at all. Chef Brian told us it's something like a 20-hour process, which definitely shows. A quick heads-up: they do not have mustard, ketchup, ranch, or pickles. If those are must-haves for you, bring them along. Service was good, especially considering it was essentially a two-person operation. Chef Brian was upfront that things were running a bit long due to earlier guests, which we appreciated. We took the opportunity to grab a drink nearby and came back, no issue at all. The food was outstanding. We ordered the fried chicken dinner with fried potatoes and collard greens. The chicken was phenomenal: crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. I initially assumed a pickle brine, but Chef Brian explained it's actually the herbs he uses that give it that depth. Whatever the method, it works. Excellent food, honest service, and a smaller, no-frills space. Chef Brian is clearly an accomplished chef, with appearances on Top Chef and Bar Rescue, among others, but more importantly, he knows food and community. Definitely add this spot to your list.

The booths were roomy and the space felt cozy and classy. I loved the décor and that paddle fan with the attached paddles was so fun to watch. Anything with cheese, barbecue, or chicken tenders is on another level here. Portions are very shareable. Service was kind, but it looked like our server was handling everything without a busser, so dishes stayed on the table longer than expected. The food still came out in a good amount of time. We ordered the Trio Sampler with Santa Fe Spinach Dip, Chicken Tenders, and Cheese Bites. My dad has a friend in Vegas who literally asks him to bring the spinach dip back, so we had to try it. It lived up to the hype. Our whole group agreed the chicken tenders were the best we have had. Perfect crisp and juicy, and that is a big compliment coming from a group ranging from 30 to 75 years old. Baby Back Ribs were tender and easy to share. My husband and I split ours and still had leftovers. Carrot Cake was rich and delicious with cream cheese icing, caramel, toasted coconut, and candied pecans. It almost gave a cheesecake moment. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would come back!

We made a reservation well in advance and even then there were limited time options. The atmosphere of the restaurant is slightly upscale while still being cozy. I love all the plants! Our server was very knowledgeable and was able to give several recommendations. We ordered the grilled and chilled beets and the steak skewers for appetizers. The beets and everything that came with them was very fresh! I love anything with pickled onions. The steak appetizer was excellent and my dad could not stop talking about them. Next, I ordered the swordfish special and my dad got the pork chop. Everything was cooked to perfection and flavor was everywhere! For dessert we split the dark chocolate ganache. The ganache was very rich but paired wonderfully with the whipped cream and other flavors. I don't drink, but my dad also loved the cocktails he ordered! If Tito & Pep has been on your list do not hesitate any longer. I very much regret not coming here sooner and I highly recommend giving it a try!

They forgot to add the dill at first but brought me some when I asked. I added my own sour cream that I make by draining my homemade dairy- free yogurt. I really enjoyed trying their sauerkraut as they make it quite different than the one I make so it was fun and interesting. I enjoyed the pierogies but wished there were more mushrooms in the filling for more mushroom flavor and juiciness. I also wished the onions were more caramelized and browned. The dough didn't make me emotional thinking of my Polish grandma (I literally was brought to tears when I had the soft and tender vegan pierogies at Red Rock Deli in Albuquerque) but it was definitely good still and I am happy they added a vegan option. I hope to see more! It seemed to me like the service here would be great. Adorable place! My friend got the regular and I got the spicy version. The photo may not do it justice but it might be the best chicken sandwich I've eaten. Soft, buttery bun, mayo, tangy pickles, and perfectly-breaded-and-fried chicken that wasn't undercooked, dry, or soggy and it was surprisingly juicy for such a big piece of chicken. The spice was fairly tame, it adds a kick but doesn't overpower or leave your mouth on fire--which I'm okay with. The spice seemed more cayenne/paprika based though I couldn't pinpoint the seasonings. If you're a spice-head I'd suggest adding buffalo or honey sriracha sauce. The inside is very spacious, with lots of cutesy Asian decor and an 80s J-Pop soundtrack. Service was friendly and decently-timed as their food is (clearly) made-to-order. To pull a 1-2 punch in both ramen AND fried chicken is an impressive move. I can't recommend this place enough for your next ramen or chicken sandwich craving and I'll for sure be back to try the wings.
