This place is a hit or miss Their chicken is good but their service is horrible. I order from here about every other week, this week the service was worse than usual, I ordered a half chicken, friend and corn for pick up around 10pm, the owner told me 20 minutes. As I got there 20 minutes later and waited for an additional 5 mins to ensure the food be ready when I go in, I go in and they haven't even started making it yet, they were not busy. They just didn't start making it. So I go back into my car, wait an additional 15 mins then go back in, the employee puts everything together and charged me individually for each item I ordered .... what's the point of having a COMBO menu if you're going to charge customers the original price for each item they buy? So this wasn't even that bad I usually tip them $2-3 anyway, but as I go to pay, their minimum for card is now $40 which makes no sense. On top of this the worker snatched the $20 bill, At the end of this all, I got my chicken, half of it was burnt, the yellow sauce was a quarter way filled. So called Al Baik Chicken from Saudi Arabia. Young people on the counter who don't know what their doing. Chicken was too salty. DE-LI-CIOUS , everything tastes great. The fries are so crispy, almost as if it had a light batter around it, the rice is plain, the jalapeño poppers are good with gooey cheddar cheese inside, the zinger burger was fine, only weird thing was it had this really sweet cole slaw on it, the peri peri chicken is delicious as well, packed with seasoning, I loved the extra hot flavor, delicious. What kind of food establishment won't take credit card if your total is less than $40? I can understand minimum purchase of $10 as we've all seen those and won't begrudge an owner his profits. However, this is a fast food type place and if you're in for a quick bite the total order won't come near $40 unless you're a glutton. Wait time is too long even though it was not that busy. Perry chicken was undercooked and wasn't even tasty. Too many spices in the sauce. This place is a replica of nandos but no where even close. The cheese in the cheese fries tasted expired. The garlic bread had no garlic on it. read more

BEWARE, TURN BACK!!! If yelp would let me give zero star ratings, trust me this place would get it. One of the worst restaurant experiences. The restaurant is highly understaffed with only one cook and one waiter. Long wait times but it is not the cook or the waiters fault but only the owner's. Yo, this place is excellent. I've had it 3 times this week and haven't gotten tired of it. The prices are great and the food is DELICIOUS. I get the quarter or half chicken, medium spicy and it is perfectly cooked each time to perfection. Never dry, stays moist. Burgers are tasty too. The workers there are also incredibly nice. The chicken here is truly delicious. I've never experienced a combination of flavors quite like this. The marinade/seasoning they use is peppery, spicy (there are varying levels) and awesome. The peri strips that I ordered were cut up into small pieces and had a very FOUL smell. I thought it may be the different sauces so I tried eating it, but the chicken clearly was not fresh and I had to throw it out. I ordered for a delivery , it was around 11pm. I ordered the zinger burger meal with a drink, 3 snappels and an order of the jalapeño bites. I am very disappointed st the service I was given . The delivery took about and hour and a half or more to arrive, the guy on the phone was brushing me off telling me she would be there very soon with the delivery which I waited a damn near 40 minutes. They arrived , after I had said I didn't want the order anymore, told me they have forgotten the drink that came with my meal. The worst part is , there was no ketchup for my fries, no utensils, no napkins !!!! Extremely unprofessional and uncaring for the customers needs. The food was very cold, it tasted absolutely disgusting. The burger was just sloppy and the jalapeño bites were so cold for me to even eat and enjoy. First & foremost let me say, the workers are quite helpful and courteous. I came across this while browsing through the Yelp App. After reading all the positive reviews I decided to take the plunge and try the Peri Peri half chicken (medium sauce/seasonings). This was one of the best grilled chicken I have ever eaten. The rice was okay, but the chicken totally made up for it. I also ordered the Peri Peri strips, it was delicious as well. I was NOT dissapointed at all! You are able to pick one side, and I got the spicy fries-very good & crispy. Even though I called ahead to order, the guy told me 20-25 mins and when I got there they told me a few more minutes. I appreciated being served fresh chicken and nothing was old or pre-cooked. I see a few poor reviews scattered in here about the chicken patty which takes away from this place's shinning star, the Peri chicken! I came across this place looking for something different to eat in the week since I missed groceries this week. I asked what's the go to here and was informed that it's all about the peri chicken strips over rice. I'm about half way done with my meal and I'm 100% satisfied. It's a great option for eating out and not feeling so bad after. I'll definitely return to try the next level of heat on the chicken. Ordered through grubhub... originally ordered a whole chicken w/ cheese fries. 10 minutes after placing order, I received a phone call from someone from the restaurant who said they don't have any whole chickens, just legs and thighs. Umm, okay? I opted for the legs and thighs and the person told me it would be about a 1/2 hour. Half hour passes...one hour passes... so I tried calling the number back and the phone just rang and rang with no answer. I called grubhub and they said they'd try them on another number and call me back in 5mins. They called back and said the driver is en route and should get to me within 10 minutes (keep in mind, this place is less than 3 miles from me). It's now going on an hour and a half since I originally placed the order and still NOTHING. No phone call, no NOTHING. Will not be ordering from here again and I would not recommend them to anyone. The buffalo wings were rubbery. The menus online do not display a description of the items. Under the Burger section is a "zinger burger". I expected a beef burger with some sort of extras on it. I am sorry to say that I was extremely disappointed in the Peri Peri chicken. My first experience with this dish was in London and was undeniable, so when I learned about this Chick In, I had to try it. But the aroma from the chicken smelled foul, which was a huge red flag. I decided the aroma might be from a mix of seasonings that somehow clashed, so I tried the chicken itself and found the taste in keeping with the aroma.
