Today I went for a burrito and asked for a Carne Asada burrito, no pico + combo and they give it to me with everything, and then I asked if they could remake it and they gave it back with the same meat, and even if they took it off, while I was eating it it felt like I was eating pure onions. And to finish this off they gave me a skinny asf burrito not worth paying 9-10 dollars for this. I love this place! The super fries alone make it worth a trek. Great burritos, too, and a huge menu for folks who want some variety. I went in one morning and saw the owners working super hard getting fresh vegetables ready for the day, and it just hit me that this place is exactly why I love to support local businesses. The owner takes such pride in the place; he recently did a fundraiser I went to, and he was constantly checking in with all the staff, wiping tables, and making sure customers got everything they needed, nonstop. I tried bites of the the fish burrito, carne asada fries, a taquito and a chicken taco. The fish burrito, taquito and fries were OK (I've had better elsewhere) and I didn't care for the taquito. If you don't like super greasy Mexican food this is the place you won't get a burrito full of grease just a burrito full of flavor or any other food on the menu in this case. yeah they have messed up an order ONCE since Ive came here but newsflash people we are only human and it's unintentional. Last time I come here. Bought a California burrito with adobada meat instead. REGRET IT. Meat was soggy and could only taste the condiments. It was so BAD I had food poisioning and everything that comes with that. Oh I almost forgot burrito was priced at 5.99 on their menu and when I paid it came out to 8.69 . I noticed they had a sign wich stated a .50 cent fee for the use of debit card. But my total coming out to 8.69? Really? I asked for my receipt to see what they charged me for and they only give you the receipt from the debit machine card. Worst ever. I currently have food poisoning from their food. Ordered a carnitas burrito today for lunch. Only comes with meat, pico de Gallo, and guacamole and asked them to put beans inside. Sour cream and cheese is extra. They charged me extra for the beans to which I agreed however, they loaded on the meat (not carnitas, more like cubed, fried pork that was not seasoned) and only added a smidge of guacamole and beans. It was very hard to chew and there was no balance from the other ingredients' flavors. The salsa was also very runny and added no extra punch that I was hoping would happen to save my lunch. The flavor was off and I kept waiting for the beans to appear towards the bottom of the burrito. Couldn't eat it anymore and threw it away. Just got home from franks. Used to come here all the time now barely ever because they keep messing up on our order. We ordered 2 carne asada fries the first with just meat and cheese and the other meat, cheese and guacamole. We got into the car and checked it like we always do then we realized one had sour cream on it. So we went back in to tell them. She said she changed it and went to the back because my sister is allergic to sour cream. Then she asked if we paid trying to charge us again. She gave us the food back. When we got home we saw that the one that had sour cream had a lot more food than the other but didn't think of anything of it. Totally ridiculous, and they ONLY TAKE CASH!! I've showed up before with my card and was really disappointed to found out they don't accept cards. Frank, the owner, is a very nice man who you can tell is a family guy but he isn't around very often, the other staff is just not that friendly but they are not horrible. The cleanliness is not kept up, the bathroom is microscopically small and it's a little freaky because there'[s a window but its always open to the back alley, where anyone can walk on by.... I've been here twice now and have had their carne asada burrito and their California burrito. The meat is definitely cooked well and good quality, but both times something (seasoning or marinade perhaps?) was missing resulting in a pretty bland, though filling burrito. I suppose the best way to describe it is "burrito meets hamburger" as lettuce and steak with an occasional indulgence of sour cream make up the bulk of what your taste buds' experience here. I loved this place but then they got greedy and cut portions WAY down ! I pay 8$ for what looks like a half order of asada fries . When his kids are working you are in for a good time but the other ladies there really bring the business down . Great food, great taste, but could probably update their seasoning on their meat. My brother goes there every day. It is getting a tad bit more expensive, though, but then again..we're in a recession and people need to make ends. The bathroom is sketchy, but who actually feels comfortable using public restrooms?! franks was the first place I ever tried super fries and since then it's pretty much my fave food...the surrounding restaurants do not meet my taste buds quite like franks super fries..the owner is a friendly man that is always very friendly. Good food,and it's better to place ur order before arriving due to the fact that the only real negative I have about this place is that it lacks a drive thru.
