I recently purchased a used vehicle online and had Frank look at the vehicle at a parking lot near my house. Despite timing and situational constraints, Frank was exceptionally understanding and accomodating. First of all, I changed my schedule three times over the course of 2 days which is very inconsiderate considering he is charging by the hour. Yet, Frank was always understanding and tried to meet my requests. Secondly, my dealer did not allow me to lift up the vehicle for a prepurchase inspection which is a huge contraint. Frank should be wearing a cape, bcz he's a superhero! Have you ever had the "I'm about to get completely screwed over bcz IDK jack about cars" feeling? You'll never have that feeling when Frank is around. In fact, the opposite is true. He will make sure that you are taken care of. I hired Frank twice to do vehicle pre-inspections for me when I was running all over the state trying to find a specific vehicle I wanted. Frank comes the rescue again!! So I was going to do the tedious task of making an appointment for my breaks to get looked at. To be honest, I had been driving on breaks that I could hear making a loud crunching noise for months. Every time I drove, I promised myself it would be the last time, until I would make an appointment at a mechanic shop.. but I work a lot and it's not easy for me to schedule a time to drop off my car somewhere. Then my friend told me about his go-to guy, Frank, who will come to you to work on your car! I was thrilled at the idea but skeptical. I gave Frank a text, and To my delightful surprise, he said he could come out to me that same day! I knew I would likely need new rotors at this point, so I thought he would come take a look and then have to plan a date to come back.. instead, Frank told me exactly what I needed and said he could have the parts delivered to him within an hour. No more than 25 mins went by, and sure enough Frank's contact showed up with the parts and my car was completely fixed in my own driveway for half the price and twice the speed and convenience! Fast forward to today, someone ran into my car a few weeks ago, and I thought I would need to call a tow truck to move my car to my house or a body shop. Of course, I figured I'd text Frank first, and somehow he was able to meet me at the parking lot near where the accident happened and where I had left my car, and once again he was able to be there within less than an hour of texting him! Not only that, he was able to fix it up so that it could run again!! After amazingly getting the car into driving condition (so that I could drive it home and think my options through while the car is in my driveway). When I asked him how much, Frank asked if $80 sounded good.. I almost felt bad not giving him more, but he insisted that would be enough! Once again, Frank totally saved my day, and what I feared would take up most of my day off, turned into an amazing experience yet again! All of these reviews are on the money. I needed help with my 2001 Dodge Ram with its ignition timing (I though I could update my ignition parts, but this was not the case). After stressing out for weeks on being unable to work on my car, I found out about Frank through Yelp. I called Frank yesterday afternoon, and he was nice enough to ask questions about my truck and its current state. I asked when he would be available, and he let me know that he was able to fit me in the following day. Fast forward to today where he came to my home to work on my truck. Like a surgeon, he diagnosed the patient then proceeded to work. After 2 hours, he let me know that truck was good to go. I crossed my fingers as Frank turned the key. Frank is a Godsend, and a rare find these days! I bought a 98 Jeep Cherokee, I knew it was going to be a project, but the current predicament is that my brakes aren't exactly working... I replaced the pads, and the calipers were locked up. Frank came out (on time might I add, a rarity these days) and helped me get them off, sent them off to be rebuilt, and showed up after we got them back a few days later (again on time, even early) and spent much of his day helping me. His rates are honest, and the guy gives it his all, he's an honest person, knows when to admit there's something he can't do, and is always willing to help, whether it's suggesting somewhere to take the car if it's beyond his capabilities, or whether it's just telling you what to buy to fix it. I usually do not write reviews...But I felt it necessary after Frank came out to fix my car. I asked Siri for "Mobile Mechanic in Costa Mesa" and up came Franks Mobile Service. It was just past 5:30pm and got a voice mail, but a few minutes later Frank called me back and we set up an appointment to come by the house and put my serpentine belt back on which had come off my engine after I sprayed WD-40 on it (bad idea).
