We stopped here twice on a recent trip to Durango. We had our pups with us so for one stop, I stayed at the hotel with the pups, while my husband and daughter went through the drive through and brought us back dinner at the hotel. We each had a Freddy's Original Double burgers all with extra pickles. We all got small shakes too. I had a chocolate shake. The burgers were tasty. I love their pickles. The shake was still thick even with a 10 minute drive after pick up. Our second time stopping was for a sweet treat at the end of the evening. I tried the Orange Cream Frost. Showed up at 9:30 when closing time was at 10 after driving for a while really hoping to get some good food but the place was closed. No one answered the drive through line and the doors were locked. If you're gonna close early maybe you should put a sign up somewhere saying that. Online says closing time is at 10, not at 9:30, so just annoying that they probably didn't want to serve anyone anymore even though they should have been open for another 30 minutes. Tried calling 3 different times, the first time went to voicemail, and the other two times were declined since it rang only about 2 times before saying not available, assuming they declined the call. Kind of a bad way to run your business if you're going to close 30 minutes early and decline customers' phone calls. If you're looking to get locked out well before closing and ignored, this is the place for you! read more

We came here for some custard and burgers. While the burgers were juicy and cooked wellC the custard left something to be desired. This is the best fast food experience i have ever had, their sauce was amazing, their freddys signature micro fry's were perfectly seasoned and perfectly soft and crispy, their california style patties were juicy and flavorful, even their Pickles were great! And I hate Pickles! When your eating with family or friends its like a race to see who will hog down the amazing food first! What a terrible waste of time and money. "Bacon" burger was literally drowned in mustard. My wife could not eat it. The sorry thing only had one piece of bacon. We were given wrong frozen custard. Then when we finally got what we actually ordered (turtle sunday) it too was a joke. The bowl covered in sticky and next to zero Carmel in the cup. The business wasn't even closed but they refuse to take my order. The machine in the drive-through said they were close 10+ minutes earlier than what's on the door. Who knows what the food is like. Service was so slow I had to leave before I ever placed an order. I drove into the drive-through intending to get lunch. This was at 2pm, so I thought the line would not be too long. The line moved one car length every five minutes. After 10 minutes, I was still at least 6 cars from the order speaker. At that rate, I would be stuck in line for at least 30 more minutes before ordering and no idea how long it would take to get an order. I finally managed to squeeze out of the drive-through queue and got back to work just barely before my break was over. Freddy's in Durango, burgers are super tasty and reasonably priced, great value, the French fries are shoestring style. You can customize your burger with stuff like grilled onions, jalapeños, banana peppers etc at no extra charge. I recommend a double steak burger with cheese, ketchup, mustard, tomato, lettuce, grilled onions, jalapeños. Their custard puts ice cream to shame, but the burger and fries usually fill me up. read more

Stopped in on Saturday night for medium Turtle Custard sundaes. We ordered 2, but when they came out, combined they might have added up to 1 normal sized medium. Very small servings of custard and we never did see any Carmel. Flavor was ok and plenty of nuts. We had a difficult time finding a clean table, either indoors or outdoors. There was only one other occupied table, so being too busy is not an excuse. We did finally find spoons, but lucky for us there were a grand total of 4 spoons in the restaurant.
