1 star: as that's the minimum and for the test drive experience. So our long new car hunt day ended with a trip to Ford Fremont. Here goes the experience: a. As James (the person we spoke with) was busy, we were helped by a guy who knew next to nothing. We liked the test drive/car and were ranking it among the top 2 of our selections. However, the good experience ended here. The sales person did not know even simple things as the car's horse power or if they offered any repair services like Toyota does. He made several trips to some guy for information, leaving us waiting. (we reckon his numerous visits agitated Mr. Chris even before meeting us - read on to know who Mr. Chris @ Ford Fremont is!!). b. The started-good-going-south experience suddenly turned extremely sour when after waiting a while, Mr. Chris joined in (he said he was the floor manager - shoppers beware, he is the one with greying hair and somewhat thinner hair. If you see him you must either be ready to buy then and there or be ready for a strong dose of rudeness). As the previous guy could not answer our questions, we were hoping to have better luck now. Unfortunately, Mr. Chris was extremely rude. He started with - "do you like the car?" We said the ride was good and we are hoping to get some more information. At this he got agitated. His first reaction was - "If you are not buying today, then what am I doing here". Frankly speaking, we were dumbfounded at this rudeness and tried to explain that we need more information so that we can compare and make the right decision. His answers were terse to the best, e.g., Us: are there any after purchase services? Mr. Chris: "you get services that you buy". Us: What about warranties? Mr. Chris: Standard. Us: are there any financing specials e.g., whats the typical interest rate for xxx credit score? Mr. Chris: I don't know, 4.9%, I will only know when I run your credit. Us: Are there any specials? Mr. Chris: Prices are already listed on the car. If you are a Costco member then you get 2500 dollars off the listed price - its simple. Us: So does that include all special/incentives offered by the dealer? Mr. Chris: Yes! {at this point we somewhat recovered from his earlier rudeness, his overall body language and irritated replies and decided to walk out} Mr. Chris: What are you looking for? US: We have been shopping around and want a reliable and efficient car. Mr. Chris: Then this is the car for you. Us: Let us decide that! Our business is done here - thanks for your time! We did speak with the receptionist (albeit rudely owing to the overall built up anger - we apologize) followed by Chris' supervisor after exiting Ford Fremont where Mr Chris was standing looking at us - twiddling his fingers. The supervisor apologized without promising to look into the matter...and offered a meeting with him. However, after several great experiences before this, we decided to move on. At least Ford Fremont wont get our business and neither of our acquaintances. Ford Fremont can learn big time from close by dealerships when it comes to customer interaction. We strongly recommend Ford Fremont to get some education from the following: . Toyota Fremont ( Leroy ) . Huyndai Fremont ( Joey ) Until such time as Ford Fremont is able to raise its standards both in know-how of cars and more importantly of enabling customers to compare and get information, we strongly suggest avoiding this dealership. I searched the inventory online and I submitted my info, I was immediately responded by Alfredo Villanueva, who helped me with a few questions regarding inventory. When my husband and I went to go check them out a few weeks later I was so excited to see my dream car, tuxedo black hatchback ford fiesta sitting in the lot right where we pulled up. I got really lucky because someone started to help us, but I didn't care too much for him and he got busy with another couple. I would be paying the outside finance back and Ford would be paid.. bottom line. I told fords rep Shak and Mo that because of my son's death and as a grandmother to a fatherless grand child that I can only afford a 7000 car, because I am helping my daughter in-law financially. So this is what the two representatives of Ford did; They ran a light credit check on me and told me that I couldn't get the vw unless I place 2000+down but that I was approved for a 2016 Ford focus at( get this), 19% interest with 1000 down with payments of over 370+ a month. after I told them my situation after I told them that they would get a check from the financial company THAT APPROVED ME FOR 5000 to 13600 . I even took a test drive of vw beetle as soon as I got there I loved the vw and thought that we were about to negotiate on vw. My son purchased his first new car from Fremont Ford just over a month ago. He was so excited and loved it. Shortly after driving off the lot the car experienced deceleration/ acceleration issues while driving on the bridge home. Terrified, that he was going to be hit from behind. He immediately contacted his sales agent who told him to bring the car back the next day. It went into the shop over the weekend. This car had prior repairs made for same issue although it was sold as a new vehicle. he was not told of the issue. But he was given the original work order. He picks the car up and was told it was a " soft ware install". He drives it home and again the issue occurs. He is told to bring it back to the shop and he does. He picks the car up and takes it home after being told it was good to go. He declined the extended trip to check it out. A couple days later he decides to hop over the hill and go for a ride. On his way home he had to detour due to an accident on 92. He drove down highway one to Santa Cruz where as soon as he was off the freeway the car accelerates into the back of the car in front of him. Causing extensive damage to both vehicles. Being scared he never had an accident before he drives home and tows the car back to the dealership. Ford says they checked the black box and didn't find anything. I wasn't there but I do know these cars do have these issues and my son who has driven back and forth from Los Angeles to Redwood city never had any issues in his other car. Now with a brand new car with logged issues this happens and ford claims the damage is over $7,000 worth. I am sickened. He is a young man with a $20,000 loan he is paying on a new car that he can't drive and FORD is not accepting any responsibility. They say the issue must happen 3 times..... it did. Also why would you put a new car owner into an unsafe car? Would you want your child driving this car? I don't understand. The General Manager Mike claims it was a minor repair. Seriously if you do not expect it to decelerate or randomly accelerate and you are a driver for just 5 years would you know how to handle the car. So disappointed. read more

Lots of yelling at this dealership. Was shopping for a Ford Fusion a few weeks ago and thought I had almost made a deal on a car and when the salesman went back to get manager approval for the deal I heard all this yelling in the other room. It actually started before our salesman went to talk to the manager but it was all very unprofessional. I didn't understand anything he was saying because it was in a different language. After our deal was not approved and more yelling we decided to leave because everyone was so tense and not a great environment to shop in. I think the manager who was doing all the yelling was Aba. Absolutely the worst car buying experience I've had, with the salesperson Clint. We bought a 2015 Escape. He had no idea about anything about the car but apparently he's been working there for years. Couldn't even answer basic questions and every question came with an eye roll and/or a deep sigh, even more so after we sat down and agreed to buy. He could ask us 15 times if we want a bottle of water, but when it comes to the car, completely useless. Then tries to tell me the 172 point certified used vehicle checklist is the ~50 point checklist he gives me at the end, where of course he has checked everything off already and wants me to sign. This checklist is saying that everything is there in the car and is something that should be gone over together, not me by myself, pregnant and exhausted, opening the trunk and lifting the rear mat to check if the spare tire, jack, etc are there while he's calling his girlfriend or whoever and not giving a crap about us, since we have already signed the papers and purchased the car. Papers were hurriedly shoved in front of us and we were rushed out. I will never come back here again. This review is just scraping the surface, I don't have time to write everything right now, maybe I'll update it later... just wanted to let you know in case you come here and Clint starts walking up to you- just turn and walk away... DO NOT GO HERE. The dealership is big, but if anything this makes them give less of a shit about your business. I've only experienced their service and auto body department, on many occasions, and it's garbage. The main problem is the management is terrible, and they fired both of the only service advisers worth a damn (Kevin and Maria). I brought my car in for a few rattles and creaks that would be fixed under warranty. One part had to be ordered to fix one of the issues. The tech was very friendly and helpful when I drove to show him one of the noises. But when I got the car back at the end of the day with 1 of the 3 problems solved, on the drive home, I noticed some small scratches on the leather wrapped steering wheel (which were able to be felt too...that's how I noticed them), and also a couple small scratches on the plastic door panel, telling me they weren't exactly careful with the interior of the car. I didn't really want to call and bitch about small scratches over the phone (even though I keep my car in pristine condition), and figured I'd show them when the part on order came in and I returned the car for that part of the warranty work. It took a couple days longer than expected to come in, and I got NO call telling me it was there. The service adviser was almost impossible to get on the phone, despite numerous calls to him. When I found out that the part did come in, I was pretty sick and thought it best not to get everyone at the dealership sick, so I did them the favor of delaying a couple more days. I was not driving the car during this time... just lying in bed feeling like crap. A few days later, I brought the car in and pointed out the scratches. While I waited on the car, the service adviser repeatedly told me how he has to check with his service manager about what to do on those scratches. The car was there for a few days and when I came to pick it up with the final warranty issues addressed (but not the scratches), the adviser told me they wouldn't cover the scratched parts. I spoke to the service manager and explained the situation. I said I'd even be willing to pay dealer cost for the parts, and he refused that. That's pretty amazing, given that that was an easy solution which would be of no expense to them. No... he had to try to make a profit off of their mistake, and offered me cost + 20%. Ha... right. The service manager said the issue they took with my claim was that I waited to tell them about the scratches... which I did because I was bringing the car back in when the parts came in anyway. I explained the situation, and said that I had probably $2k in labor for parts I wanted installed on the car, which would make them covering the damaged parts easier to swallow, and I was happy to make the appointment right then so they'd see I was serious about it. Instead, he told me they weren't interested in my business because they wouldn't want to be liable if they damaged something in the process of installing the stuff, given that my standards are high. Yeah... sounds like they have great faith in their work. The amazing part is he refused to believe they damaged the part. The conversation went like this: Me: "Why would I waste my time with this if it wasn't legitimate? I just bought $5k in parts on my own, and I'm willing to pay $2k to have them installed. The parts you damaged are far cheaper than that... it's not as though I couldn't afford them and I'm trying to scam you." Service manager: "Well a lot of things could've damaged the parts... maybe a watch" Me: "Don't wear one." Service manager: "..or a wedding ring..." Me: "Not married." Service manager: "...or fingernails..." Me: "I bite my nails." (not to mention my fingernails would have to dig in pretty hard to tear up leather or plastic lol) Also, when I first got my car, I brought it in for a warranty paint fix for a defect in the paint from the factory. The defect was on a panel that was pretty big, so the whole thing needed to be painted for it to look right. I got my car back in one day (that should've been the first sign of trouble) with fisheyes in the paint (visible .5" lumps) , *DRIED RUNNING DROPS OF CLEAR COAT*, and scratches. It was worse than it was before.... to the point where I thought maybe I was looking at the wrong car. I told them this was unacceptable and they asked me to point out the problems. Amazing, given that it was utterly obvious for a car that was almost flawless before. They agreed to fix it by repainting. Two days later I came back and 2 fisheyes were still there in the clearcoat. I said whatever, and just took the car anyway. I don't trust it in their paint shops hands anymore. I've since priced out getting these fixed elsewhere. Do not go here unless you have very low standards, and don't tend to care about the quality of work done on your car. You have to be the least discerning of customers who doesn't really give a shit about your car to have it serviced here. read more

I was very pleased with my experience here. Ian was my salesperson, and he was charming, competent, and showed me a variety of cars, but didn't try to point me toward any specific one, letting me decide--even tho I decided not to get another Mustang, but be sensible instead. Jim was the sales manager, and was very helpful in getting me as good a price as he could, and Sheri was able to do him one better, and got me a very nice interest rate, and payments lower than the figure Jim quoted me. She also pointed out the reasons why cars with all the computer bells and whistles profit from full warranty coverage, and managed to get me what I needed without increasing the monthly payment too much. I recommend all three most highly. They all were charming (but not sleazy or slimy), interested in me as a person as well as a customer, and each of them shared a bit of their lives with me--Jim is an SJSU grad, Ian hopes to go there, and Shari has some very good reasons for her recommendations, and worked till very late even though it was her first wedding anniversary. The dealership itself is clean and neat, including the restrooms, the fish tank is fascinating, and there are free bottles of cold water. I only have one complaint--it isn't in San Leandro, where I live, so I can't have my maintanence done there. Based on the people I met in the "front of the house" I'm sure their service department is equally impressive. It was one of the best car buying experiences of my life, and I've had quite a few of them! I highly recommend this dealership without any reservations at all. read more

We came to Fremont Ford since we live here, and asked of they would match a deal from a competitor. We have tried this several times in the past with negative results, but their website said they were under new management, so we decided to give them one more chance. I basically stepped out of the car and said ok can you match this deal because I don't want to waste my time if you aren't going to give is what we ask for. The first guy got Nick to come and help us, we told him what he wanted, and he walked into the bldg. After awhile he came back with exactly what we asked for. I was shocked! We were in and out of the dealership in about four hours, which isn't bad for car shopping, and that includes trading in my 18-year-old car at a decent value and saving me time from having to sell it myself. Zia helped us purchase the Ford C-Max. Zia is a great sales person, friendly and knowledgable. He was very attentive to all of our needs. Even a week after the purchase Zia helped us by putting on the HOV decals. Zia cleaned the car spots where they were to be placed and even offered to wash the car after. So after going to about four different dealerships we ended up at Fremont ford. My wife and I were amazed by the way the Ford Fusion energi drove and handled very smoothly kind of felt like a European car. We've always drove a Mercedes and BMW as a commuter which was killing us on gas and the amount of time we spent in traffic going to work in the morning. So we needed a vehicle with carpool stickers. We were really impressed by, Shak, our salesman. He provided a terrific presentation with plenty of knowledge on the vehicle. The most satisfying part of our sales experience was the salesman was willing to listen and patiently catered to our needs in a vehicle. Luckily, he did not push during any part of the process such as the previous dealerships I mentioned. So we decided our loyalty towards Fremont Ford and the wonderful staff they have acquired. I can't believe that I'm giving a 5 star to a car dealership. These places have a reputation for hard sells, sleazy tactics and sneaky practices. I was looking for a Mustang for many months, trying to find the right combination of engine, transmission, color and options (Oh, how I love gadgets). I finally gave up and decided to pay the premium, eat the instant depreciation and soak in that new car smell. After some research, I learned about the Ford X-Plan that I could use simply by joining the Mustang Club of America. This gives you a pre-negotiated price that the dealer can take or leave, it leaves enough meat on the bone that the dealers will take it. I joined MCA, priced out my new Mustang, got my pin and headed off to Fremont Ford, manila folder in hand. The salesman was a guy who I had previously communicated about a different car and he was also a Mustang fan. We took a 45 minute drive then went into the office, the part that I hate, the dreaded foursquare negotiation. He began to price out my new car then I showed him the X-Plan price. He took it and told me that it saves a lot of time. He agreed to the x-plan price, placed the order and I paid a deposit and he told me that I would have the car in 6-8 weeks. Easy... too easy, I thought. I didn't get the promised e-mails advising me of the assembly progress of my car but at the exact 6 week point, a very long six weeks I might add, I got a call "You car's ready." Wahoo, I headed in and went to pick it up, ready for whatever they were going to hit me with. Surprisingly to me, the price was the X-Plan price that we had agreed on and the car was exactly as ordered. The only pressure that I had was when I went over to the contract guy who fills out the sales contract and repeatedly offered me extended warranties. Knowing something about finance, I turned these down and I was out of there after signing what seemed like thousands of forms. The new salesman (the other guy had left) promised me a free oil change as he sat with me in the car while we synched my car to the phone and I was off to wreck some tires. 7000 miles later, my oil life function indicated that I had 29% oil life left so I booked an oil change with Fremont Ford's Fast Lane service. (Note that if you want to leave your car, agree to the 8:00 appointment time. They give everyone 8:00 times. If you want to wait, get a specific time and tell them that you'll be waiting.) I was completely expecting them to pull some shenanigans with the oil change. They aren't doing this expensive oil change for nothing after all (8 quarts of full synthetic isn't cheap.) After waiting, they brought my car out, gave me a sheet with tire wear, brake thickness, battery test etc and told me it's good to go. What? Where's the hard sell? The blinker fluid change and the muffler bearing grease? Nope, no warranty repairs, no recalls or programs, no underbody coating or fabric coating. They changed my oil and checked out the car just like that. I suppose that the reason for the free oil change is to introduce you to the Fast Lane service that they offer, to get you used to bringing in your car for service. I can live with that. So that's it, no big complaints, 5 stars. They earned it. read more

Unfortunately after the purchase it all went downhill, three months after I purchased the car I received a letter stating that I had no insurance on my corolla which I didn't own anymore so I called them and they said don't worry about it, it happens, therefore I sent paperwork in and about a month later I received a letter from DMV stating that my registration is OVERDUE ON MY COROLLA WHICH I DONT OWN...so when I called the finance manager he basically didn't look into it and then I asked for the manager then I spoke to Abbas Asalati...Horrible customer service...instead of saying let me look into it, he just kept on saying it happens all the time..don't worry about it, when I pushed further he hung up on me... I finally spoke to Michael Pollom, the GENERAL MANAGER who was professional and looked into it for me, and the Lady who worked in the DMV portion of Fremont ford sent me an email with the information i needed...Michael Pollom said he would call me back within a few days but didn't, I just received the email...I also told mr Pollom that i fully expected an apology from the sales manager and didn't receive one...HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER THE SALEI I WILL NOT BE BUYING MY NEXT CAR THERE AND NEITHER WILL MY FRIEND WHO IS BUYING A CAR IN A FEW MONTHS....STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP... read more

In the last 3 years I have purchased (6) new vehicles. This is my first time buying from Ford again in over 13 years. I was debating between F-150 and tundra. After test driving both I quickly realized there was no comparison between the two manufacturers. Once I determine I was going to buy from Ford. I went to serval dealerships. I talked briefly with Christine she is fleet manager. She did business the way I like. Straight no lies or BS. She got me an incredible interest rate 0%. She got me pricing I wanted. Her paperwork was prepared so I didn't have to waste time negotiating. I hate sitting there playing games. I don't have time for all that. I love my truck. I got the platinum with Diesel engine. I have recommended my superintendent & electrician to her. I know she will take good care of them. I'm coming back for a 2019 f350 next. I truly recommend you ask for Christine. She will make process quick and honest. I look forward to coming back for more fleet vehicles. I also like their service department. Yesterday I went to have my car serviced at Fremont Ford and I was very specific to the Service Advisor (Jorge Olayo) who by the way was training that I only needed an oil change even though I received a letter and email stating that my car is due for a 15k mile scheduled service. I specifically told him that before I can have services performed on my car that I will need an approval from my company so if he can provide me a detailed list of all the recommended service and to proceed with the oil change. When I got to the Cashier, I was presented with a $302.87 bill. I asked the Cashier (Vanessa) to explain how in the hell an oil change can cost this much? She looked at me instead and read the invoice for services rendered and the listed amounts. She also said that I agreed and signed it so I need to pay. Although she gave me a $50 discount and promised a free oil change (which she never did) and told me to call the manager for issues I may have. I called the receptionist and asked to be connected to the right individual so I can address my complaint. She was kind enough to connect me to the GM's voicemail and it has been 24 hours and no call back. This is the worst car dealership I have ever encountered, very misleading and the Service Department personnel are not trust worthy. I almost bought a new car for my daughter's impending graduation and I was looking into convincing my husband to buy an F-150. I will NEVER EVER go back to this dealership. read more

Nothing but good things to say about Jalal and Farhad at Fremont Ford. Jalal, internet sales, went above and beyond for us when it came to finding the perfect vehicle to fit our family. He was happy to answer all of our questions over the phone and in person. Jalal even went so far as staying a little over his shift to see us off in our new vehicle. Farhad, finance person, was very clear with all the paperwork that needed to be signed. He even went so far as weighing the different options for the different add-ons that would best meet our lifestyle. My wife and I came to Fremont Ford jaded from a very poor experience at another Ford dealership. The Fremont Ford experience was a completely different experience. I won't say I have never had an issue at the Fremont Ford dealership; however, I will say that every issue big or small has been met with some of the best service I have ever had. I have been going to this Ford dealership since the early 90's. I've seen it switch hands and throughout this time I've seen familiar faces leave and new faces come in. Sometimes this transition brought slower service and ok work; other times it brought faster service and great work. But honestly, what company doesn't go through a transition without flaws? The key to me remaining their customer for so long is that when they make a mistake or I have a problem they are always willing to correct it above and beyond my expectation. I bought an Expedition from them years ago with a bumper to bumper warranty and the AC had a problem with a switch. Unfortunately, when I took my vehicle into Ford, the third party warrantor stated that the switch wasn't covered under my warranty. I quickly escalated the problem to Ford management and within minutes, Steve Marvel, contacted me stating a Ford rep will call me and have a resolution. After I hung up with Steve, literally 30 seconds passed and Mike (no longer with the company) was on the phone with me stating that Ford will pay for all fees associated with fixing the problem. Steve Marvel even approved to give me a free rental SUV (to fit my family) while my Expedition was being worked on. It was this type of excellent service that convinced my wife to allow our Camry and Durango to be serviced by Ford. On one occasion this year, my son was accidentally charged $5 more for an oil change. When I called Peter Peknik, in the QuickLane, he quickly apologized and asked me which car I will be bringing in for our next oil change service. I told him which one and he made arrangements to have it taken care of. The arrangements that Peter made were above and beyond my expectation. Lastly, I was driving around on Friday, 9/16/2016, when my engine light came on. I pulled over and checked the oil and it was very low. I called over to Peter in the QuickLane but he didn't answer so I left a voice message. I decided to drive over to Fremont Ford since it was on my way back to pick up my daughter from school. When I arrived, I didn't see Peter, but I did see Courtney Husk who is a very friendly familiar face. I asked Courtney for help and told her that my oil was low and would it be possible to top it off quickly so I can pick up my daughter from school. Courtney quickly noticed Peter wasn't at his desk and called for a tech named Jose to come and look at my oil. Jose was quick to respond. He first checked to ensure there were no leaks and then stated I needed oil added to be on the safe side. Courtney hopped into my Durango and drove it around the whole building to the service bays and got my oil to a safe fill line. Courtney and Jose could have ignored me and/or made me wait hours because the service department and QuickLane were backed up, but they didn't. And over the years of receiving excellent service, I wouldn't expect them to. I know it's a tough job that they do at the Fremont Ford Service Department, but I've grown accustomed to their high standard of excellent service and can't see me leaving them, even if they are busier or a problem occurs. I know their service management team and everyone underneath truly care for our business and customer satisfaction. I trust that they will do what is right to fix things and go above and beyond my expectations. Thank you Steve Marvel, Peter Peknik, Courtney Husk, and Jose for the great service you provide and your willingness to always treat my issues as if they were your own. Also thank you for always being helpful and friendly for the many years where there weren't any issues. My family appreciates you keeping us safe as we travel the busy road of life. If I could give this place zero stars I would! This place is the worst for service. I went in there for regular maintenance work (oil change, filters, tire rotation). We never come here, we always make the drive to San Leandro. Pete upsold me to think I needed a bunch of work that we didn't. We ended up with a $1400 service bill for something that should have been $39.99. My husband picked up the car and asked why he pushed for some of the services. He laughed at my husband. They were not needed! This place is not loyal and will take your money!! We will for sure next time be making the drive to San Leandro where they actually care about their customers. read more

i recently came looking for a vehicle for my gf. I previously visited other dealerships and was not happy with the customer service so we decided to go to fremont ford and there are no regrets. First of salesman vaseem mohammed greeted us at the front door and let me tell you these guys are not pushy at all like other places you tell him what you are looking for, he will show you the available options and of to a test drive. We ended up going for the focus se great economic car yet verry nice styling. And also thanks to the salses manager he made it happen.
