6/21/25 Late lunch Parking 5/5 Easy peasy today, arrived ~1 pm. Atmosphere 5/5 Covered in prior reviews, clean, fun trendy modern. Service 5/5 Today we had the pleasure of being served by someone new. We had our drink and meal taken promptly. Ordered the mushroom burger, slaw and side of onion rings. Food 5/5 ++ French Toast Resturant never disappoints. Freshly prepared scratch meals are delicious whether from the breakfast, lunch or dinner options! The large burger is served on a nicely toasted bun, with mayo, onion lettuce, pickles and Swiss cheese. I choose the slightly sweet coleslaw and their "Dare-me-Not-to -Eat" crunchy onion rings. Everything was delicious and satisfying. $53.20 includes the tip. Bon Appetit my Friends-SYOY!

Let me preface this by saying I was not feeling my best when we came here. And that makes me sad cuz I've had this place bookmarked for a while. I feel like I missed out on so much. With that in mind I can say the following. The wait was non existent. Major bonus, because it's quite obvious by the setup outside that this place can build up a substantial wait. Our server was on top of everything. She checked on us several times to see if we were ready to order. Unfortunately we had some business to cover and none of us seemed capable of focusing on making a decision on the menu. The menu is pretty extensive. Several pages of cocktails followed by even more pages of French Toast and the usual suspects. I hope to go back because I really would've liked to try one of the many libations offered, instead of just a glass of water. Our meals were good, nothing we ordered was over the top. Okay, exception to this was the raisin bread toast. That isn't something you find very often in AZ, and it's one of my favorites. I regret to say, my toast was burnt. Guess that's no big deal on this occasion since I wasn't feeling up to par and my appetite was keeping a similar pace. They had recently expanded and it appears they can handled a good rush. So maybe the typical wait isn't so bad. I do think the two (2) restrooms -single seater, unisex, are just not enough for this place. Especially if staff has to use the same facilities. Our server came out of one of the restrooms I was waiting to go in which made me figure customers and staff use same facilities. Overall nice place, good service, extensive menu, fair prices. I do hope to come back here to give them another try.

We've been talking about trying French Toast Cafe ever since they opened, and when my daughter announced she was craving French toast this morning, it seemed like the perfect excuse to finally visit. From the moment we walked in, the experience was easy and welcoming. We were greeted warmly and invited to sit wherever we liked. Menus, napkins, and utensils were already on the table, which was a nice touch and meant we could start browsing the extensive menu right away. Our server arrived promptly to take our drink order. I enjoyed my usual iced tea, and my daughter was thrilled to find Diet Dr Pepper on the menu--a rare find at many breakfast spots, so bonus points for that! I ordered the Belgian waffle, which was delicious, and paired it with a side of bacon that was cooked perfectly with just the right smoky flavor. My daughter went all in on the stuffed French toast, filled with cream cheese and topped with blackberry syrup. Needless to say, she was one happy customer. One thing that stood out was the menu itself. There are so many options and customization choices that narrowing down what to order was the hardest part of the meal. Everything sounded tempting! Our server was cheerful, attentive, and checked back to make sure everything was just right. Overall, breakfast was solid, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. We'll definitely be back to work our way through more of that menu.

My wife and I were out and decided to go get some lunch and try something new.Dinning room is clean but we were sat in a booth very close to the service station/kitchen. Conversations between workers was a bit loud but we did our best to ignore it. Their menu is very large. It's a bit overwhelming trying to choose. My wife ordered the very berry crepes, and I ordered the blueberry pancake combo (2 eggs & 2 sausage patties) I do not know what our servers name was as she didn't introduce herself and she wasn't wearing a name tag. My breakfast was good. Sausage patties were a bit overcooked. Eggs were a perfect over medium. Pancakes are good . My wife very much enjoyed her crepes. It came with fresh strawberries and a sliced up banana on the side . A couple dollops of whipping cream . Service was fast and pleasant. We will most likely return.

Everyone was craving French toast so we tried a variety of items. We ordered the French toast flight. Which we were able to choose three different flavors. We choose pistachio, Nutella and biscoff. The biscoff is a bit thick but it was amazing. It paired really well with the whipped cream, banana and strawberries. They also give a side of syrup, but it's sweet enough already without the syrup. We also tried the country fried steak with an over easy egg. They offer a variety of bread options such as sour dough, white, wheat, etc. we also got some chicken tenders on the side which was surprisingly very juicy and flavor ful. We were told that the chicken tenders were really under rated. Which is true. The staff were super nice and friendly. The came over to check on us here and there. And after we made a bill spill in the table everyone came offering to clean up the spill. They have a pretty wide open dining area. The floors are clean and really tidy. Whenever anyone in our group finished a plate the staff would come and ask may I clear your plate, or anything else. Whenever in Arizona would love to try other items.

Great breakfast experience with my daughter! Had the pistachio French toast and she had the Mickey Mouse pancakes . All food was 10/10

Great find again French Toast The French toast was excellent, and the eggs were cooked just right. The only thing that didn't quite hit were the home fries, but everything else made up for it. Service was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and very welcoming for a first-time visit. Well worth it. I'll definitely be back.

After seeing all the good reviews for this place, we decided to give it a try during our recent trip to AZ. As I mentioned previously, we've been impressed by the number of places that serve breakfast in the East Valley. We were here on a weekday around 11 a.m., and they were doing a brisk business. I must say, they are well organized in keeping track of customers waiting to be seated. The restaurant is in a strip mall, and there is a roof outside that keeps the sun away and, I imagine, the occasional rain. Plus, there are enough seats for those waiting. We gave the man at the outdoor podium our name and told him there were two of us. We didn't have to wait very long. While they are known for their French toast, we both decided to get an omelet. We both ordered the omelet that had bacon bites, cheese, and tomatoes. This dish also comes with hash browns and one's choice of toast (we both chose sourdough). To drink, I had a raspberry iced tea while my husband had orange juice. Service was on point. Our server was friendly, polite, and efficient. She was also well-versed when it came to the menu. All in all, we are glad we gave them a try. Next time, I think I'll order some French toast :)

So I remember they added onto their Cafe and what a change to the good this place is twice as big as it was before and they were still very very busy. Very happy for the owners food still was good. I had the very berry French toast couple eggs, bacon very good meal check it out. I think you will enjoy it. Very cool inside

When walking up to the place it looks like every other small business cafe with an adorable sign. Once you're inside it blasts you with designs all over the walls with pictures and writings of what's on the menu. I put my son and my name in and within maybe 15 minutes we were seated at a table. My son ordered the French toast and it came out pretty quick. I got the biscuits and gravy with sourdough, it did take a little longer but those biscuits covered in gravy were well worth the wait! Biscuits were moist and buttery and the gravy was perfect definitely a must get if you go. So glad I live right up the road we will be coming here plenty!

I went during saturday breakfast rush at 10am Had to wait 15/20 mins for a table for 2. (Which is normal for the time/day) the food comes in big portions, the wait staff even though floored was kind and attentive enough. The Belgian waffle was good. The eggs, hashbrowns etc was mid, standard taste nothing special nothing wow. If I had to choose between IHOP and here, id choose Ihop for the price and comparison. The only reason to come is to support local business. Over-hyped for breakfast.

Finally got to try this place. It was busy but the wait for my grandma and I was just 15-20 mins. Very friendly service and everyone helps out. The food was delicious! I love dubai chocolate so def sweet and am glad they have the banana and strawberries on the side

(Top to bottom) Cinnamon, Nutella, and Bueno French Toasts. Side of eggs and sausage.

(I did not. I ordered a full breakfast and a waffle like an adult with priorities.) I went around 9:15am on a Wednesday--only a few tables were occupied, and the staff was super friendly, gave great recommendations, and the food came out fast. Inside is dialed in with chandeliers, French-y posters and photos everywhere, and a pastry case with tarts, pastries, and cheesecake that basically dares you to behave. The croissant was the star... fresh, flaky, light, buttery... exactly what you want. The egg was cooked perfectly and the cheese was melted into it almost like a mini omelette (loved that). My only hiccup was the "bacon." It leaned more limp pork belly than crispy bacon and had a distinct smoke flavor that wasn't the traditional hardwood/hickory vibe I'm used to. Also... because the cheese and egg are fused together, it's basically impossible to pick the bacon out once it's in there. Next time I'd order it without bacon or ask for it on the side and make it crispy. It came with a side salad, which is not what I expected with breakfast, but it was actually great, fresh spring mix and a delicious dressing with a subtle sweet undertone. There were also hash browns with a crispy exterior and soft, warm interior, exactly the texture you hope for I just wish there were more of them! Because I have no self-control around French cafes, I also ordered the Belgian waffle with fruit and whipped cream. The waffle was warm and tasty, more tender/soft than crispy, and I ended up preferring it to the 'scrape the roof of your mouth' style that most restaurants serve up. The whipped cream tasted freshly whipped and the fruit selection was generous. My only critique: I'd skip the granulated sugar on top. The waffle is sweet enough already, and biting into sugar crystals isn't my favorite texture. For a drink I tried the blueberry lavender matcha. It had crushed blueberries in it, but the matcha flavor was pretty mild and the lavender got lost. I also would've liked a touch more sweetness from the syrup but overall it drank a bit "soft" and subtle. Bottom line... really cool little spot with friendly service, quick food, and a pastry case that will absolutely ruin any plan you had to "just eat light." I'll be back but next time I'm customizing that croissant sandwich and letting the pastries talk me into bad decisions.

We had a reservation and were seated right away. I selected the main dining room when making our reservation, although they also have new upstairs seating, which you can choose when booking. They have outdoor seating on the porch, but it's too hot for us this time of year. Would love to come back and dine outside when the weather cools down. The main dining room is rustic chic with exposed brick and a really fun energy. There are mostly two-top tables with a few four-tops in the center, plus a small bar with about four seats. One of my favorite details was the vinyl record player, which almost acts as the centerpiece of the room. The hostess would switch out the records throughout the evening and place the current album on the windowsill, so you knew exactly what you were listening to. We really enjoyed the music selections! One thing to note is that the main dining room is loud. I'm not sure if it's the acoustics of the old house, but it took us a little while to get used to the noise. Once we settled in, it wasn't as noticeable, but it was definitely hard to ignore at first. If you're looking for a quieter, more intimate experience, I'd recommend reserving a table upstairs. The wine list is very small, which actually made choosing a bottle really easy. We went with a Sauvignon Blanc. I've been to French restaurants like Zinc where, because of the small two-top tables, they bring your wine in a standing bucket. Sottise does something different, they have a wall of shelves where they keep your bottle. It serves almost as another centerpiece in the room. Our server and hostess were both great about keeping our glasses filled, so we didn't miss having the bottle at the table. The menu is definitely a modern take on French cuisine, and everything we ordered was delicious. We started with the Escargot de Bourgogne, and I loved that they were served in shells rather than in a traditional escargot dish. They had just the right amount of garlic, butter and light herbs. Of course, we had to order the Fresh Country Loaf with butter so we could soak up all that delicious escargot sauce. So good! Next came the Pistou Pasta and the Le Grand Loup de Mer. The pistou sauce is made with basil, garlic and olive oil, but unlike pesto, it doesn't contain cheese or pine nuts. The flavor was incredibly fresh, and the color of the noodles from the sauce was so vibrant. But the Le Grand Loup de Mer was absolutely the star of the show! The presentation was beautiful, and the sea bass was cooked perfectly with wonderfully crisp skin. It came with a light white wine beurre blanc-style sauce, and the trout roe added the perfect amount of saltiness. Definitely get this dish! We loved it so much that we ordered a second country loaf just so we could have more bread for dipping into that incredible sauce. Instead of dessert, we finished with an espresso martini. It didn't come with any coffee beans on top, so I'm guessing they may use a Nespresso-style setup and don't have whole beans on hand. It was still really good and a nice way to end the evening. Our server was great and attentive without hovering and gave us plenty of time to enjoy our meal and each other. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Sottise. Between the unique old-house setting, vinyl records, exposed brick, modern French food and service, it's a really memorable spot. I'd definitely come back, especially when the weather cools down so we can experience the porch or try the upstairs dining area for a quieter evening.

What made the dinner that much better was their $35 steak frites special. I have nothing but positive things to say. The restaurant itself is beautiful! I always love open kitchen concepts because seeing the chefs in action is always amazing. It felt very moody and romantic with the candlelight dinner, dim lighting and dark colors. The steak was melt-in-your-mouth perfection and I upgraded to the truffle fries, which I do not regret one bit. The one thing I do regret is not eating more of them, considering the fries were endless. The meal also started with a crisp and light salad that had a dressing I could probably drink. My boyfriend and I wanted to order some appetizers, but I'm glad we didn't because by the end of the meal, we were full. I did order the petite creme brûlée though, which was not petite at all. It was huge and only priced at $9... that felt illegal. Our waitress had a very calming presence and she was lovely! I can't remember her name but it started with a "T" and she had pretty, curly hair. I think the manager was walking around, asking how everyone was doing too, which is always great. We definitely want to come back to try more of the menu, and probably take his parents here too!

The space is absolutely gorgeous and has that elevated, sophisticated feel you'd expect from the Global Ambassador. Service was truly 5-star from start to finish. I've had the Caesar salad at the lobby bar plenty of times, so I was excited to try the Chicken Caesar Wrap--and it was just as delicious! The French onion soup was good, although it was a little too rich and a bit heavy on the wine flavor for my taste. Overall, a beautiful setting, excellent service, and a great lunch experience. I'll definitely be back!

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with the open kitchen right at the bar, and the views through the wraparound glass are amazing. All of the food was great. I had the goat cheese salad, and it was perfectly fried with a light vinaigrette dressing. The duck was the best I've ever had. It wasn't greasy or gamey at all and had a really nice smoky flavor from the wood-fired grill. The desserts were amazing as well. The soufflé was one of the best I've ever had--not overcooked like so many others, but still soft and creamy inside. The chocolate mousse was great too. I loved the texture of the shell combined with the smoothness of the mousse. The service was top-notch. We never had to ask for anything; the staff was attentive throughout the entire meal without being overbearing. For the quality of the food, atmosphere, service, and overall experience, I thought the price was perfect. You could easily spend more at a high-end steakhouse and not get an experience this good. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it.

For those familiar with Kevin Binkley's former projects, there are hints of what we used to experience at his restaurants but this takes it over the top. The evening was full of surprises, culinary theater and the gorgeous view makes it unforgettable. We used to eat at Christopher's at the Biltmore and it was wonderful to see this playful and stylish iteration. The food was phenomenal, interesting, well-excuted and so very enjoyable. There were a few service hiccups. We were served the same course twice (which was promptly removed when we notified our server). There was a significant gap between two of the courses (maybe 20 minutes or so) and it felt odd. The kitchen knew that I am pescetarian and they beautifully accommodated me except when a plate of lamb appeared in front of me (it was quickly rectified). This is definitely a special occasion meal and if you're looking for something unique and delicious, this is it.
