Classic French cuisine. It was all superb. The duck was perfection. Looking forward to coming again.

Working in the Gables for years and I never knew about this place. I was living under a rock! Frenchies is a cute and cozy restaurant. You feel tucked away in a little Paris. Their menu is amazing. They have something for everyone, but the must have is their French onion soup! Omg! Also, it's off the menu, buy their duck sandwich is a must try. The service was impeccable. I will be coming back for sure!

Tisk Tisk Tisk!! I expected way more from Frenchies. With all the great reviews, this Coral Gables staple turned out to be purely disappointing. We started with the mussels, and the broth was utterly FLAVORLESS. I had to resort to using the butter provided on the table, melting it with the mussel broth just to elevate the taste a tad--it was horrible. For the entrees, we ordered the steak and the roasted chicken. Both meals were incredibly bland--I could not believe they were trying to serve French food. The steak lacked any distinctive seasoning or marinade, and the roasted chicken was equally uninspired, missing the rich flavors one would expect from French cuisine. It was a complete waste of money and time! Given the hype and the high expectations set by the glowing reviews, the experience at Frenchies was a major letdown. This place clearly does not live up to its reputation, and I won't be returning.

I just have to say this place is one of coral gables's best gems. It's a small restaurant quite often full with locals. It's privately owned by a French man a who's just awesome, he makes you feel at home. The food is always great, it's a not your usual French restaurant menu it's an authentic menu that you would see in a restaurant a France, and always fresh. They have a good wine list as well for wine lovers. If yo want to make sure you can get a table make sure to call in for a reservation, if not get there right when they open as they get full quickly!

Ooh La La, please don't visit the BEST French Kitchen in Coral Gables... We want it ALL to OURSELVES! The Family at Frenchie's are so warm and generous, they welcome you from the first time as if you are visiting for the hundredth time. Prepare to be served an amazing meal amongst Coral Gables Friends and Family. A true GEM of The City Beautiful... Oh, did I mention the ambiance, it's simply divine!

We had a truly great meal & experience here. The food was great. The service was great. Kind of felt like we were in a Brasserie in Paris. We started off with a glass of Sancere each. We both had onion soup, I had beef Bourguignon & my other half had the croque Monsieur. For desert the most incredible decedent dark chocolate sea salt mousse. We got to chat with the owner. He was very nice.

    "Beef bourguignon"

I told my husband that I was craving beef bourguignon. I was so excited to find a restaurant near us . As you can see by the photo this is NOT beef bourguignon! It was a tasteless, bland braised meat with some bland sauce that DID NOT have red wine or pearl onions and the price was ridiculous. Sorry but not coming back . The server , Mario was very nice but the chef should look up Julia Child videos .

What's great about this local staple??? EVERYTHING!!! The service, the food and the ambiance... Have frequented this lovely restaurant whenever I am in town for a quick visit! Le plus magnétique!!!!

My husband and I were craving soup and Frenchie's didn't disappoint. Let me start by saying our server was amazing. He explained the menu and suggested delicious options. My personal opinion I loved the pear soup and goat cheese salad. My husband had french onion soup and filet.

There was already a crowd outside waiting for the next seating, and once inside, the intimate setup immediately stood out. With only about a dozen tables, a tiny bar, and the rest of the room dedicated to the stage, it feels exclusive without being pretentious. We sat at the VIP table tucked off to the side. At first, I wondered if the view would be limited, but it ended up being one of the coolest seats in the house. Watching the performers through the side curtains gave everything a romantic, vintage feel, while looking out across the room made it feel like you were hosting the evening. A special shout-out to our server, Arlene. She was hilarious, quick-witted, attentive, and timed everything perfectly. She even brought dessert out at just the right moment so we could enjoy it while finishing the show without feeling rushed. The only disappointment was that the grill was down that evening, so most of the beef entrées weren't available. Thankfully, I had planned on ordering the salmon anyway, and it was cooked perfectly. Just know that if you're coming specifically for a steak, you may want to confirm availability first. The passion fruit cheesecake was much sweeter than I expected, but still delicious. And then there's the jazz. Miami doesn't have nearly enough places like this. The musicians were talented, and the atmosphere alone is worth the visit. If you're a serious jazz fan, you may wish there was a little more improvisation and a little less sticking to the standard arrangements. The vocalist was good, but none of the performances were particularly unforgettable. Still, that's not really why you come here. You come for an intimate room, live jazz, attentive service, great ambiance, and a memorable night out. Armstrong Jazz House absolutely delivers on that. I'll definitely be back.

I didn't read any of the reviews of LPM before coming here, but now that I'm reading through some of them as I draft mine, I can honestly say I don't understand the hype or how/why this place has garnered so many 5 star reviews based on my own experience. I note that many of the highest rated reviews are nearly a decade old, so maybe LPM used to be better back in the day? We arrived just ahead of our reservation and were seated right away. Service wasn't terribly attentive, yet we also felt rushed at times. Our server explained a bit about the menu and when we said we'd planned to order a bottle of wine and one of the guys in our party was perusing the wine list, the waiter more or less insisted he was sending the sommelier to make a recommendation, rather than asking if we'd like him to send the sommelier. When indicating we just wanted a decent mid-priced red, their wine expert recommended a $170 bottle which ended up being good, but not at all worthy of that pricepoint. We felt rushed to order our meals after they visited twice to ask if we'd made our selections, though we were clearly more interested in chatting for a bit before seriously looking at the menu. Later, shortly after we'd been given bread they cleared our plates along with bread slices we'd just been given, saying our meals were nearly ready - yet they weren't delivered for several more minutes. It was explained to us that most people order several dishes which are brought to the table as they're prepared, but on this night we all ordered from the Miami Spice menu as each of us saw items listed there we were interested in but also, since we were being prompted repeatedly to make our selections, it was just faster to order from that simplified menu. When they brought each of our Miami Spice courses - salads, entrees and deserts, they sat them in the center of the table as if we were expected to divide and share them. Each time they brought a course we each took the plates we'd ordered and only ate what we'd selected, but the staff didn't take the hint and still just sat everything in the middle of the table when they'd bring our food. I must say everything I ate was well-prepared and flavorful, though the portions weren't very large (which is sometimes to be expected when ordering the Miami Spice offering). In contrast to all the 5 star rave reviews for this place, during my own experience here at LPM I found that the serving staff lacked polish and we felt rushed during certain points, but a lack of any attention when we'd have appreciated it at other times. They sent a sommelier we didn't ask for who recommended a bottle that was overpriced vs. quality, and had an experience that I'd just summarize as a bit odd overall. I can now say I've been to LPM and experienced it for myself. I can also say with some confidence that, with all the other restaurant offerings in this city, including many in the Brickell area, I don't think I have any desire to return here.

Managing a party of 12 is no easy task, yet everything flowed seamlessly. He was attentive, personable, and made sure our celebration felt special from start to finish. With a group our size, we took full advantage of the menu. We shared oysters, escargot, crispy artichokes, leeks, beet salad, French onion soup, tuna carpaccio, steak tartare, and a beautifully curated cheese platter. Every appetizer arrived impeccably presented and packed with flavor. It was one of those rare meals where every dish earned compliments around the table. The cocktails and wine were just as enjoyable especially the dirty martinis, which were a hit with our group. For the main course, we ordered everything from the cheeseburger and mussels to the lemon pasta, spaghetti, steak, and chicken. As soon as we sat down, I politely asked if we could be moved. The manager then told me that I had booked bar seating, which is simply not true. Why would anyone reserve bar seating a month in advance for Valentine's Day? I checked my reservation confirmation myself and it never stated that, and I even tried making another reservation to verify ..bar seating wasn't even an option. He told us he would "see what he could do," and we were left waiting at the bar with no water, no menus, no service, and no communication whatsoever. Meanwhile, we watched multiple couples get seated at proper tables back-to-back. At one point, we even overheard another couple say their reservation was at the same time as ours, and they were seated at a table immediately. When I tried to politely ask for an update, the manager or owner completely ignored me. No acknowledgment, no apology, nothing. I was honestly in shock at how disrespectful and dismissive they were. We ended up getting up and leaving because of how uncomfortable and disrespected we felt. Valentine's Day is supposed to be special, and this restaurant completely ruined that experience.
