Working in the Gables for years and I never knew about this place. I was living under a rock! Frenchies is a cute and cozy restaurant. You feel tucked away in a little Paris. Their menu is amazing. They have something for everyone, but the must have is their French onion soup! Omg! Also, it's off the menu, buy their duck sandwich is a must try. The service was impeccable. I will be coming back for sure!

Tisk Tisk Tisk!! I expected way more from Frenchies. With all the great reviews, this Coral Gables staple turned out to be purely disappointing. We started with the mussels, and the broth was utterly FLAVORLESS. I had to resort to using the butter provided on the table, melting it with the mussel broth just to elevate the taste a tad--it was horrible. For the entrees, we ordered the steak and the roasted chicken. Both meals were incredibly bland--I could not believe they were trying to serve French food. The steak lacked any distinctive seasoning or marinade, and the roasted chicken was equally uninspired, missing the rich flavors one would expect from French cuisine. It was a complete waste of money and time! Given the hype and the high expectations set by the glowing reviews, the experience at Frenchies was a major letdown. This place clearly does not live up to its reputation, and I won't be returning.

I just have to say this place is one of coral gables's best gems. It's a small restaurant quite often full with locals. It's privately owned by a French man a who's just awesome, he makes you feel at home. The food is always great, it's a not your usual French restaurant menu it's an authentic menu that you would see in a restaurant a France, and always fresh. They have a good wine list as well for wine lovers. If yo want to make sure you can get a table make sure to call in for a reservation, if not get there right when they open as they get full quickly!

Ooh La La, please don't visit the BEST French Kitchen in Coral Gables... We want it ALL to OURSELVES! The Family at Frenchie's are so warm and generous, they welcome you from the first time as if you are visiting for the hundredth time. Prepare to be served an amazing meal amongst Coral Gables Friends and Family. A true GEM of The City Beautiful... Oh, did I mention the ambiance, it's simply divine!

We had a truly great meal & experience here. The food was great. The service was great. Kind of felt like we were in a Brasserie in Paris. We started off with a glass of Sancere each. We both had onion soup, I had beef Bourguignon & my other half had the croque Monsieur. For desert the most incredible decedent dark chocolate sea salt mousse. We got to chat with the owner. He was very nice.

    "Beef bourguignon"

I told my husband that I was craving beef bourguignon. I was so excited to find a restaurant near us . As you can see by the photo this is NOT beef bourguignon! It was a tasteless, bland braised meat with some bland sauce that DID NOT have red wine or pearl onions and the price was ridiculous. Sorry but not coming back . The server , Mario was very nice but the chef should look up Julia Child videos .

What's great about this local staple??? EVERYTHING!!! The service, the food and the ambiance... Have frequented this lovely restaurant whenever I am in town for a quick visit! Le plus magnétique!!!!

My husband and I were craving soup and Frenchie's didn't disappoint. Let me start by saying our server was amazing. He explained the menu and suggested delicious options. My personal opinion I loved the pear soup and goat cheese salad. My husband had french onion soup and filet.

Neighborhood crowd. Simple, delicious french food. Great butter with the table bread. Had the mussels, which were fresh and delicious with a glass of the chablis, which paired nicely. Service is almost too good, honestly.

The bar, red velvet furniture and the huge flowers behind the host station truly elevated the look of the establishment. We were immediately seated as soon as we arrived. As soon as we were seated, they brought us baguette bread with this tasty butter and pistachios. I loved picking at the pistachos while waiting for our food. To drink we tried the Modicum Rose, which was very good. To eat, we tried the crispy pig ears, escargots de Bourgogne, soupe a l' Oignon, Steak Frites, Truite Amandine, Bouchons au Chocolat and Creme Caramel. Everything was divine. It was a nice surprise that the crispy pig ears were meatier than I had anticipated. The escargot and French Onion Soup are the best ones that I've tried. The steak was cooked to perfection and the fries were crispy. The fish was so tasty. I was expecting the Bouchons to be warmer but they were still delicious and the creme caramel is like a lighter flan. They were definitely a great way to end our dinner. The service was phenomenal. Multiple servers checking in on us, plates and utensils getting replaced right away and when we would get up, the napkin would be folded again. The waiter also gave us baguettes bread with our leftover. This small gesture was very touching. I honestly think this may be the best French restaurant in Miami and look forward to retuning and trying other items from the menu.

There was already a crowd outside waiting for the next seating, and once inside, the intimate setup immediately stood out. With only about a dozen tables, a tiny bar, and the rest of the room dedicated to the stage, it feels exclusive without being pretentious. We sat at the VIP table tucked off to the side. At first, I wondered if the view would be limited, but it ended up being one of the coolest seats in the house. Watching the performers through the side curtains gave everything a romantic, vintage feel, while looking out across the room made it feel like you were hosting the evening. A special shout-out to our server, Arlene. She was hilarious, quick-witted, attentive, and timed everything perfectly. She even brought dessert out at just the right moment so we could enjoy it while finishing the show without feeling rushed. The only disappointment was that the grill was down that evening, so most of the beef entrées weren't available. Thankfully, I had planned on ordering the salmon anyway, and it was cooked perfectly. Just know that if you're coming specifically for a steak, you may want to confirm availability first. The passion fruit cheesecake was much sweeter than I expected, but still delicious. And then there's the jazz. Miami doesn't have nearly enough places like this. The musicians were talented, and the atmosphere alone is worth the visit. If you're a serious jazz fan, you may wish there was a little more improvisation and a little less sticking to the standard arrangements. The vocalist was good, but none of the performances were particularly unforgettable. Still, that's not really why you come here. You come for an intimate room, live jazz, attentive service, great ambiance, and a memorable night out. Armstrong Jazz House absolutely delivers on that. I'll definitely be back.

Nestled in Wynwood, the restaurant has a chic yet welcoming atmosphere with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's the kind of place that feels lively without being overwhelming. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality stood out. Every staff member was warm and attentive, and our server, Radomere, truly elevated the experience. Managing a party of 12 is no easy task, yet everything flowed seamlessly. He was attentive, personable, and made sure our celebration felt special from start to finish. With a group our size, we took full advantage of the menu. We shared oysters, escargot, crispy artichokes, leeks, beet salad, French onion soup, tuna carpaccio, steak tartare, and a beautifully curated cheese platter. Every appetizer arrived impeccably presented and packed with flavor. It was one of those rare meals where every dish earned compliments around the table. The cocktails and wine were just as enjoyable especially the dirty martinis, which were a hit with our group. For the main course, we ordered everything from the cheeseburger and mussels to the lemon pasta, spaghetti, steak, and chicken. Once again, every plate was beautifully executed and, more importantly, absolutely delicious. There wasn't a weak link in the meal. Dessert was the perfect finale. The dark chocolate mousse was rich, silky, and easily my favorite, though the profiteroles and lemon tart were excellent as well. What really brought the experience down was the service and how an issue with our table was handled. We made a reservation well in advance for a party of six to celebrate a birthday. Once we were seated, we realized water was dripping from the ceiling directly above our table. We asked if it would be possible to move, and our server said he would check. Instead of moving us, they brought over a ladder, asked us to stand up and move our drinks so water wouldn't drip into them, and then had someone wipe the ceiling with a mop right above our table before seating us back in the exact same spot. It honestly felt cheap-looking and unprofessional, and it wasn't what I expected from a restaurant with this reputation. Even if there weren't any tables available at that moment, I would have appreciated being told, "We'll move you as soon as another table opens up." We would have gladly waited. Instead, we spent the meal hoping water wouldn't start dripping again. The food absolutely lived up to the hype, but the way this situation was handled was disappointing. Customer comfort should come first, especially for guests celebrating a special occasion with a reservation that was booked in advance. The service definitely didn't match the quality of the food.

As soon as we sat down, I politely asked if we could be moved. The manager then told me that I had booked bar seating, which is simply not true. Why would anyone reserve bar seating a month in advance for Valentine's Day? I checked my reservation confirmation myself and it never stated that, and I even tried making another reservation to verify ..bar seating wasn't even an option. He told us he would "see what he could do," and we were left waiting at the bar with no water, no menus, no service, and no communication whatsoever. Meanwhile, we watched multiple couples get seated at proper tables back-to-back. At one point, we even overheard another couple say their reservation was at the same time as ours, and they were seated at a table immediately. When I tried to politely ask for an update, the manager or owner completely ignored me. No acknowledgment, no apology, nothing. I was honestly in shock at how disrespectful and dismissive they were.
