Surprised to see a three rating for this place. It's like one of the several salad chains but with a seperate hot bar. I had a salad here and the options were plentiful and inexpensive compared to something like Sweetgreens; I'm not really sure why you would pick SG over this place other than for brand recognition. ALl the ingredients were fresh, the place wasn't overly full for lunch, and I was able to have something healthy in a city that really tempts you to be anything but. My friend and I went to grab a salad from Fresh and Co on a Sunday afternoon. We both got a Santa Fe salad with chicken. The salads were an adequate size with a good amount of toppings. The onions were a bit too much though - just way too large and too much in amount. The chicken was also a bit too dry. However, the toppings did work well together and it had a great taste especially with that vinaigrette. A nice, quick lunch option for sure. read more

To be honest, I'm not sure what the other section even offers. I've always gone to the salad section here. They have a bunch of options and everything is made fresh in front of you. All of the ingredients are laid out so you can see everything. They wrap it up for you and you pay at the counter towards the front of the store. Decent spot for breakfast if you're on the go. You can grab a custom sandwich, or make your own. I had a breakfast bagel with egg and cheese. I added some spinach and tomato but I wish there was a bit more flavor. If you're making your own, try to add some ingredients for flavor, or at least pepper. There's better options in the area, but a good spot if you're on your way to port authority or penn station and there's plenty of spots to sit down. We did a large catering order from this location, and the order was ready when we got there. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The food was great. I would suggest to tell them if you want more veggie sandwiches because in three trays, we only got four veggie only sandwiches. I got off the train station and found this restaurant not too far away. This is breakfast and lunch spot in midtown Manhattan. My friend and I ordered the Power BLT. It had 2 eggs, avocado, tomatoes, and pesto. There wasn't much avocado but this was still a very filling meal that will last me to early/mid afternoon. Service was quick as I came in around 10:00am. I'm assuming that it may be a bit busier around early morning. The restaurant is quite big so you will find ample seating. There is 2 power outlets at the back if you are looking to charge your phone (turn left when you enter). They have a lunch menu as well with sandwiches and salads. But today I ordered one of the seasonal menu items- the cider-braised chicken salad- for pickup, and upon getting home and opening it, discovered that some component of the salad was definitely spoiled. I could not pick out which of the ingredients was bad, but the entire bowl had a rotten produce smell, and was inedible. I HATE wasting food but I had to toss it. Great place to grab a bite getting on or off the train. I grabbed a chicken Mozzarella sandwich and it was able to fill me up half way through. The ladies at this location in the mornings are so rude. The one that takes your order looks like shes being held against her will. And they literally ignore your order requests and act like they don't understand. I came in for a avocado toast that i ordered on the app, the place was empty it was 8:00am why would this lady make me wait 15 mins for it because thats what the app said. I know that sounds like hyperbole, but I've been to almost 40 different countries haha I've been vegetarian for 15 years, and this place consistently delivers top-notch vegetarian salads at a good NYC price point. So good!!! I made my own salad and was really impressed with their selection of veggies. Everything looked deeeelicious and super fresh. I custom made my salad with arugula and kale as the base, arugula, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, pico, shaved Brussels, corn and topped is with lemon and lime juice (fresh squeezed) and sriracha. Mixed allll up in their bowl. And topped with a really nice size piece of salmon! I'd say at least double the size of minigrow and maybe 2 oz more than sweetgreen. Super fresh and tasty! So on my recent trip to NYC, I wanted something quick but substantial for breakfast...and don't forget reasonably priced. I started walking around and stumbled upon Fresh & Co. on 7th Ave and glad I did. The place is pretty new, and is nicely kept. I mean they keep it clean. They were even mopping mid day just to keep it up, not because of a spill (check out my pic). A plus. Next, there are a great variety of food choices for breakfast, lunch, etc. to choose from. For breakfast I noticed egg plates, build your own omelets ($5.95, not bad at all), bagels, fresh made danish, hot cereal bar, fruit choices, etc. Lunch included hearty sandwiches, paninis, custom chopped salads, baguettes, soups, etc. And they even deliver as I found a delivery menu to take as well. The omelet I built was wonderful (you get a meat item, cheese, and veg item to add), and with some Greek yogurt to accompany it made a great breakfast. I was so taken by the cleanliness of the place, the fast service, and the tasty eats that I did breakfast here each day of my NYC visit. And will probably visit them again if in the area. Bottom line: Great breakfast and lunch offerings in a clean, nice environment. Good variety of choices and acceptable prices considering. Quick, easy, and tasty. read more

So the prices here are high its true, and they aren't posted well. For a basic beyond sausage sandwich I paid almost $7. They didn't make it correctly I asked for no cheese or egg and when I called to talk to the manager he offered to send me out a replacement sandwich since I was still in the neighborhood. So I agreed and I expect it will be fine. I can understand why the reviews are mixed. The vegan rice was good but I didn't like the chocolate chia due to the expresso ingredient. I really don't like this place. Just Salad was closed today and my office is a block from fresh&co. I got a chicken Caesar salad and it's just gross. Chicken is dry, croutons are stale as can be. They have "Recess" sparkling water for $4.50 for a can. That's insane. They're $2 at Duane Reade. I only went here because my initial place was closed. Last time I got their salad there was a huge hair in it. The owner refunded me but it was after MUCH back and forth. That of which I saved the screenshotted messages back and forth. Such a waste of money. Would advise friends not to go to this location. :( read more

The menu is large and I would recommend getting some salads. Furthermore, I got food here for lunch and found the packaging to be really well done. Everything was wrapped and secured together so that no accidental spills or contents were lost. I did enjoy the lunch and I order the Tex mex bowl.
