If you are te type that occasionally goes thru the drive through car wash & parks outside, you need to do a detail ASAP. I had not had one in years and now the van looks soooo nice. Alex returned my call within 1 hour & scheduled 2 guys to detail my minivan. I asked for an engine detail since my mechanic said he can see rodents droppings & snail shells in the engine ---- yuck ! The guys arrived at 8:45 AM & stayed until 2 pm. I added the headlight clean & it looks super clear. I liked they came to my house & worked on it non stop. It was totally worth the $450 for the minivan, engine, interior, exterior. The seats & carpet are the cleanest I have had in years ! I did an interior clean. It was pretty expensive ($215) and didn't meet my expectations. The only reason I got the clean was to remove stains on my car seats. The cleaners said that the stains where bad but were confident that I should see a 80% improvement. The seats look the same, almost no improvement. I'm upset and would not recommend. read more

Used fresh layer detailing of San Diego for the first time today and was pretty surprised with the quality of work. My car has been through a lot in the past few months because of all the beach and fishing days it has seen. With in a few hours my car looked shiny on the outside and spotless on the inside. I was really looking forward to this detail based on the excellent reviews, however, now that it's complete, I feel they came up short. I chose the interior detail package listed at $169. I read the description and, although it does not mention the exterior, I mistakenly assumed the attention would be on the interior with a basic exterior wash. It just seems appropriate, however, I clarified and was told it was an extra charge. The $169 was already steep in my opinion so the additional $100 for the exterior did not seem to be worth it therefore I declined. My appointment was scheduled for 8 am so when it was 8:20, I decided to call the company to find out why I hadn't been contacted or notified of the delay. The owner, I'm assuming stated my appointment was at 8:30 although clearly, our Yelp messages stated the appointment was from 8 am to 10 am. He stated the guy should be on his way and that he would call him to confirm. At that moment the manager also confirmed the total of $169. A gentleman made it a little past 8:30, gave him my key, and received a call around 10 am that the vehicle and service were done. I did a walk-through of the car and upon opening the glove compartment, noticed it hadn't been cleaned. I pointed it out to the guy and asked him if he would address it before he left which he did. He made a comment about people usually having things in there so I understood but if it's an interior detail I expect detailed attention to the service I'm paying for. The rest of the car looked great, no complaints there, however, the guy then stated he added leather protection to the leather seats that he stated was $30 extra usually. I assumed he meant that was added at no charge but to my surprise he charged me for it at the end. I thought this was inappropriate considering I had not requested it and he had not called me to confirm I wanted this service. Once again, if this is an interior detail, you would think leather conditioning would be included but apparently, it is an upcharge here that isn't even confirmed with the client. The guy himself was pleasant and polite. No mask was worn to my surprise given most businesses will at least come with a mask due to the current environment. I had advised and pointed out the parking spaces were private and asked him to be vigilant of neighbors should he be in anyone's way... upon his departure I noticed the neighbor two cars over had to park far right outside of their space likely due to the service guys door being open during the service. My neighbor didn't say anything but this was concerning to me as I do not like anyone to be out of place on my behalf. All in all, I got a clean interior, the car smelled great, at home service was convenient, and the individuals I spoke to were polite. With that said, the late arrival, other details mentioned above, and unsolicited leather cleaning up charge total of $199 just seemed much for the interior detail service. I added a tip as I usually do, however, I may have had higher expectations that were not met. I recommend the service but would personally not do it again myself. read more
