Fresh Leaf Dental is an amazing dentist office. From the receptionist at the front to the assistants, technicians, and doctors themselves. I am absolutely terrified of the dentist but both doctors there have made me feel so calm I actually kind of enjoy going now. I had to get a good amount of work done and they were so patient with me as they tried to make me the most comfortable. Everything is very clean and super sanitary. On one of the occasions that I thought I had messed up the healing process on a tooth extraction I went in 20 minutes before closing, without calling mind you, and they took me in right away and made me feel much better. Both of the doctors at the dentist office are phenomenal they know what they're doing, they provide quality work, and they do it in the most time efficient way possible. Found a deal on Groupon for Invisalign and purchased it. First response from the doctor is I shouldn't have done that because she's not sure if she would want to take me on as a case. She finally agreed and It was by far the worst dentist I have ever had. I got my Invisalign from here and from day one it was a mistake. Sever times during my visit I was uncomfortable because of the lack of professionalism (doctor kept talking about religion). After I finally finished my Invisalign set... The retainers I got don't fit correctly because she rushed taking my impressions. Because of the rush.. now I have a bunch of dental cement stuck on my teeth that another dentist picked up on during my 6 month checkup. I don't understand how there are so many good reviews... Maybe it was just me or something but I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I am actually happy to go see the dentist, that's how fantastic they are. From the time you set up your appointment til the time you leave after service, everything is exceedingly superlative. Scam dentist. Quoted me $1500 to fill "6 cavities." Went to previous dentist and dentist said they look fine and she is going to keep an eye on one potential cavity. I was cheap with a groupon to come here because my insurance had ended. Moral of the story- pay the money to go to a dentist you TRUST and who does honest work. I'd been going to fresh leaf for a few years now and have noticed a huge decrease lately. When I went to a new dentist I was told I had 7 cavities that were all over a year old based on coloring & size. Not once was I told about these from fresh leaf or even that they were watch spots despite going regularly for my six month check ups. Where do I begin? First I would not recommend Nevein Amer to anyone after the shitty work she did on my teeth which by the way all had to be re-done. Who does a shitty job on a filling? The other extensive work she didn't even finish and her work is apalling. She might have been great in her heyday (which I highly doubt) but she certainly is a sorry excuse for a dentist now. If she would quit smoking so much weed maybe she could focus better. She comes off as lazy and uninterested. I come from a state where I received excellent dental care and the dentists generally explain what they are doing and follow-up well not with Ms. Fancy Pants. Estelle while friendly can't even keep up with her own paperwork she got my authorization and didn't follow up with the insurance company and basically for over a month I could have had my procedure done. Just a completely incompetent office with incompetent staff. Take your money elsewhere and I will be reporting Nevein Amer to the dental board for the half-assed work she did and incomplete at that! My experience here has been so great. Everyones so helpful, kind and everyones always so cheerful! I got my invisalign done here as well and Dr. Amer answered all my questions and gave me so much information on the whole process and when I told her i was considering invisalign she never pressured me to have to get them or even get them with her. Seriously the sweetest, funniest person ever. Estelle has always been so great with trying to work around my schedule with times that work best for me since my work schedule has always been a little all over the place. If I ever call about anything she always responds back so quickly. Coming here never really feels like going to the dentist, it's always a great experience and they never just keep me waiting in the lobby. Great service! Really bad after the ownership changed. Dr. Amer was good, but after Pi and Bot bought it, and another dentist or two they hired since left, they do not stand behind their work. A crown their office did UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP failed in less than a year; extremely rude receptionist told me that 1) it's not the same tooth and 2) even though Pi and Bot still own the place, the actual dentist who put in the crown moved on, so the one year warranty just doesn't apply, and please hand over $1200. The receptionist had a full blown cold, she was practically moaning around the office, sneezed, just not a good scene. You do not come to work to a DENTAL OFFICE in that condition. Unsanitary. She also said that "well, you can talk to the owners, but I know they will not fix this, because this just happened to someone else." So, what does that tell ya? They do not stand behind their work. You are first greeted with the most gracias front desk person named Estell. She knows her billing and all the details to any procedure you may have. She will explain the as much as Dr. Amer. I used a groupon I bought months prior; the coupon included teeth cleaning, dental exam, and x-rays for $29. I don't have dental insurance so clearly this was a deal I could not pass up! The staff was incredibly warm and understanding. I came in 15 minutes late due to traffic and just difficulty finding their building, I called a few times and was given directions. Additionally, when I parked in the big lot there was someone standing out there so that I could follow her into the complex into their office. So nice! I spent most of my time with the dental hygienist of course, she was sweet and engaging. They charged an additionally $20 for fluoride paste, which I got. I told her I was starting medical school soon and would like to come to their office during my break. They sent a follow up letter congratulating me on my acceptance and saying that they hoped to see me in December on break. I appreciated the attentiveness. The only thing I did not like was when the dentist Dr. Amr came to examine me, she yelled out some dental terms to the hygienist and she wrote them down. She talked to me about the cost of their services without insurance. Cleanings are $95 without insurance, which after comparing them to other offices is actually pricey. I have no problem paying that much, but she said "people spend more at target, $95 every 6 months, is nothing for dental health." I hate assumptions. No I don't spend that much on shopping, in fact I abstain on indulging on material things. Secondly, you assume $95 is nothing, but it's everything when you are flat broke and your medical health or food and other bills are a priority. I just dislike people speaking to others from a place of privilege making gross assumptions. When I got to the counter to pay for my $20 flourish paste, she started talking about the cost of my cavities. I was so confused I told her I never got fillings, she's like yea I know I just wanted to give you an estimate for how much it would cost to fill them. I asked surprised "I have cavities?!" She said yea what did you think they were talking about. I did not once hear someone use the word cavity, had I, I would have been alarmed as I have only had 2 cavities in my 25 years of life. Dr. Amr never directly told me anything anyways. I told the lady at the counter that she said occlusal to the hygienist, she's like yea that's a cavity. Umm ok I never went to dental school. As someone entering the medical profession I thought that was so unprofessional. That is somethings the dentist should have directly shared with the patient!! The quotes me a price of $270 to fill my two cavities and the offer would last until May. She said she gave me a discount, which I believe because after comparison it's a decent price. Everything was good until I ran into the receptionist with the attitude, as one reviewer has already made mention of. I for one, don't appreciate unnecessary attitude from anyone. This was a simple request on my part, asked in a kind, non-confrontational manner, and in response, I received an undeserved ration of rudeness. After my initial cleaning, the doctor recommended a 2 session deep cleaning. For someone who hadn't been to the dentist in years I knew it was long overdue. The team did everything to make my experience very comfortable. (Including giving me a hotpack to relax my jaw!) Everyone is easy to communicate with and am grateful they confirmed my appointment. Ever since my deep cleaning my gums have felt much easier to floss and clean. They screwed up my credit!!!!! I came in for a root canal, and because I couldn't cover the cost out of pocket up front they did have of the process and I paid them about 800 dollars, for a half-assed job on a root canal, with intentions of going back for Dr. Amer to complete the job. If I would have gone back, I would have paid for the rest of the treatment obviously, but I never went back so they sent my outstanding balance for services that were incomplete to collections, now I find out about it and its up to over $1200!! I rescind everything I said about this dentist in my previous review, and do not recommend this dentist to anyone especially if you plan on paying cash because you dont have insurance. If Freash Leaf and / Dr. Amer acknowledge this review, I hope you come to realization that I should not pay for a service that was not completed, and I paid you for the work you did do, CASH OUT OF POCKET because I didnt have insurance at the time!!!! Very impressed. I have had a ton of dental work and have all crowns and veneers. One of my teeth underneath a crown fractured. I decided with Dr. Amer to have her make me a 3 tooth bridge. She did a great job and it only required 2 visits. My bite is perfect and the color matching she did is fantastic. Fresh Leaf Dental is by far the best dentist I have EVER gone to! I am a student without dental insurance, however this is not a problem for the office (I have had offices that guilt you for not having dental insurance, this is NOT the case for Fresh Leaf Dental). Everyone here is so kind and accommodating, it truly is a breath of fresh air (no pun intended). I will continue going here for as long as I live in California! If you do not have a primary dental office, I highly recommend you get your next cleaning (or other service) done at Fresh Leaf Dental. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! THEY ARE AMAZING! Also a side note, I bought the groupon deal (exam, x-rays, and cleaning) and they didn't have any appointments for like 3 weeks (no big deal for me) but Estelle was VERY accommodating and sweet, she made a note to call me if there were any cancelations (and she called me 2 days later with a sooner appointment time and I gladly accepted). I feel so bad that it took me so long to write this review. My dentist of four years closed when the doctor retired so I started my search for new one . I tried Groupon so I could get a deal while I figured out where I liked best. I totally forgot about my groupon purchase and realized it was about to expire . I called the office and Estelle answered . She was so kind and offered to redeem it immediately and schedule me as soon as I could come in . She helped me not waste my money when she could have totally told me too bad. I was so happy about that and she went above and beyond trying to get me in on a day that worked with my crazy and constantly changing work schedule. That showed caring and great character . Monica cleaned my teeth and she wasn't in a hurry or half assing it at all which I appreciated. When you are helped by her you can tell she really loves people and her job. The doctor came in and was very pleasant. I enjoyed evrything about my experience there and I wish evryone knew about them . I will refer people there 100%. I only gave 1 star because 0 stars was not an option. HORRIBLE! I purchased a Groupon that had expired. I called and spoke with Estelle, the receptionist. I explained to her that my Groupon had expired and was going to ask how much a cleaning was so I could apply the Groupon dollar amount towards the service. Before I could finish, she cut me off and said "there's nothing I can do for you if your Groupon is expired". I explained to her that I understand and I wanted to pay the difference. She said come in and you can pay $29.00. Great! I made an appt. for the next day. I said if I needed additional services I wanted to apply my expired Groupon amount. She had no idea what I was talking about. HELLO?! You don't know how Groupon works? I showed up the next day to a canceled appt. She said she called me but THAT WAS A LIE! I even held my phone up to her to show her there were no voicemails from their number. I drove all the way from HB, got a babysitter just to be told my appt was canceled because it was double booked.
