I love this place! A friend and I go nearly every day for lunch. The folks are friendly, the salad fixings are always fresh, the sandwiches are excellent, and even when there's a line, you get through quickly. Went there for the first time as one of my colleagues recommended this place. First thing what is noticed is that the price is very near to Chipotle. You select the vegetables etc and you can choose rice or noodles and they will cook for you with choice of sauces. Food was healthy and tasty. Will go again. The verdict is still out on Fresh Millions. Mind you, it was tasty and I can see how they got the name, what with a number of different ways to shape up your lunch or dinner, fresh and easy, it makes sense. However, I walked away with a pain in my wallet after forking out for lunch. I asked my spouse: "How was it?" Her reply: "O.K." I know how to read between the lines....it means don't bring this home for lunch again! That said, I'd like to try it again as I think this may taste better than my experience. Next time I'll try a different hot bowl (I had the Tikka Masala bowl) and see what I get. Stay tuned. read more

Finally, a fast-food salad bar type of place! I wish that Fresh Millions existed in more locations. I only went here because I was meeting a friend for lunch, and this happened to be in the area. Fresh Millions has three main categories of food on its menu: hot bowls, salads, and paninis. They have about 8 kinds of each that they can make, or you can even create your own salad. I got the Southwest Chicken Salad, and my friend for the BBQ chicken salad. We both got the regular size, which was perfect because I feel like the large would have been huge. I was already so full from the regular but that's probably because it came with a pretty big slice of bread too. All the ingredients are super fresh in the salad, and they give a generous amount of chicken in it as well. My only complaint about it is that the dressing was really unhealthy and I'm glad I got it on the side because I don't think I used even 50% of it. In fact, next time, I'm just going to get balsamic or something and skip the ranch-y one that comes with the Southwest Chicken. Was so awesome to finally go to a salad bar restaurant and feel somewhat healthy. Please open up more locations in the East Bay, Fresh Millions! read more

This place is pretty good for salads, not the best place I've been, but it's good for what it is, which is like a Subway for salads. You either get to pick a predetermined salad from the menu or pick and choose your own ingredients. I have been here twice and had the southwest and the bbq chicken salad, which were both pretty decent. My boyfriend got a szechwan bowl and chose his own vegetables and the combo of veggies and noodles in a hot bowl just didn't go together, so that is one thing that can be off. I like that it is a good quick and healthy food option, but I took off some stars for being a little pricy (almost $10 for a regular sized salad) and for the food being just ok. Fresh Millions is superb! Buy the Yelp deal and go. They have a huge array (not millions ;) ) of healthy, fresh toppings for salad and sandwich options. We got Greek Salad, and the dressing was amazing. Tasted like something my Greek yia-yia would whip up. The shrimp and avocado panini was also quite tasty. To reach our allotted $20 my bf also added a side salad, which was nice and fresh. We went on a weeknight about 15 mins before closing, and they already had all of the chairs up - seemed a little preemptive. However, the cashiers were mostly nice. One major downside is how creepy this place seems with the fluorescent lighting and lukewarm customer service. If they were to add some hipster chalkboards, pump up the servers, paint the walls warm colors, use social media, etc - this would be a THRIVING concept, at least at the CA locations. My advice to the Franchisee and brand concept people would be to take a page out of In n Out's book and make visiting Fresh Millions an experience! read more

In 2014 when I first went to this restaurant it was great. Now I don't know if it's been sold to new owners or what but it has went down. You get much LESS FOOD for your money. I've come here to eat with my co-workers too many times, and haven't given a Yelp review until now. Great place to eat for something quick and semi-healthy. I think I've tried everything on the menu at least once. The hot bowls are my favorite, but they tend to be more on the greasier side. I like how you can customize them to include whatever vegetables you like. I can compare it to Mongolian BBQ, but mongolian BBQ stir fries on that large pan & you can control the sauces; the cooking here is done behind the scenes. The paninis are good. I felt full but not too full. I wish the shrimp panini had more shrimp. I'd gladly pay a little more for the seafood option if there was shrimp in every bite. The shrimp panini is the same price as every other panini, but I've bitten into parts of the sandwich and pretty much just ate bread. I've tried the pastas, but in my opinion are not that great. The alfredo sauce was too watery, and the pesto sauce felt like pure oil. It was pretty hard to eat either or those. The salads are filling and a pretty decent size. I've usually ordered the large size and they were always enough to make me feel pretty full. You can even order them with hot chicken or shrimp tossed in. The employees at this particular location always remember me and my co-workers when we come in. They're really friendly and offer suggestions when I can't decide on what to have. Great customer service from the ladies there. Inside the restaurant can get pretty crowded as the tables are pretty close together, and there isn't too much space around the soda fountain (where napkins, forks, etc. are also kept). Because it is a great place for lunch, it can get busy and take a while to get our food sometimes, and the trash bin by the door is usually always full. But we always come back. read more

I went back the next morning, and the owner/manager was there. I told him that I was disappointed. He said let me make it for you. If I wanted a bowl of greens I would have asked for just that. Never eating at that establishment again. Such a disappointment. And the individual taking the order could not have been more rude and disrespectful.......than again she probably could have just put more lettuce In the non closing wrap than needed. Tried this place out yesterday, overall meal was good. I got a chicken hot bowl. They charge $1 extra for shredded cheese, which they don't give you much of. Food was fresh. I work not too far from here and come once every couple weeks. It gets crowded around noon so I try to come at 11:30am or after 1pm and I order it to go. I usually get their regular size Buffalo chicken salad which is very filling. I've ordered the large before which is huge and can't finish in one sitting. I haven't tried much of anything else there other than the Thai Peanut bowl, which is also good, but a bit on the salty side. I like the fact that I can pick to pick the veggies I like, but it can take upwards of 15 minutes to get your food, so tend to opt for a salad instead which takes about 5 minutes. From carb conscious salads to delicious wraps, this place had it all and was very affordable. Their yelp deal is amazing. I paid $8 for two decent sized meals and a drink. That deal was unbeatable. The workers are super nice and even offer to let me taste some of the sauces before I decided which one I wanted. This review has been a long time coming now, I have been coming here weekly for years and pretty much have loved the place until approximately the last year... I've recommended it to many people and co-workers also... well no more!! Not only have their prices gone up (which I understand needs to be done) but the portion sizes have gotten smaller, very small... I used to split a chicken wrap with a friend and now we can't do that because they've become so small one doesn't even fill us up. They even count the freaken olives that go into a wrap!
