This place is like a junior varsity Pluto's, but it is not easy finding a healthy quick (no waiters) restaurant in Dublin/Pleasanton. They have a number of salads on their menu or you can make your own with their large selection of veggies. They also serve a variety of noodle bowls, though I have not yet tried. I've been hearing about this place for a while and I've finally had a chance to check it out. I came during lunch and it was pretty busy inside. It took about 10-15 minutes to get my order but when I got it, it was hot and fresh. I liked that I could choose exactly how I wanted my rice bow (brown rice, tofu, bean sprouts, broccoli and chicken with the Thai peanut sauce). The portion was not huge but surprisingly I felt satisfied after my meal. The decor is clean and modern however parking can be a little tricky. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a new lunch spot. read more

Background: Feels like a Chipotle when I first walked in - soda & tea machine, utensil table and the glass counter with tons of fresh food containers. where you pick 5+ ingredients for your stir-fry bowls (can be a bit overwhelming at first) Pros: chicken masala panini was tasty but underwhelming in content. It was chicken in masala sauce between two focaccia bread. The service was courteous as my first panini was cold so I inquired about it and they agreed it was meant to be served warm and made a new one. Cons: shrimp bowl. Less than 10 medium-small shrimps and the rest were diced vegetables. I know I picked diced veggies such as corn or beets but my bowl was a very sad shallow bowl. My noodles were broken and hard to pick up with a fork. The entire bowl was definitely not filling (especially for $8+). Overall Pros: I used the Yelp $8 for $20 deal. So my two items and a drink came out to be $20. (Note: they don't give you the refund, so you'll have to use your deal all at once. Not a giftcard with "remaining" values). Not a bad meal for $8, but not worth if it's $15-$16 (without a drink) I wouldn't return for the bowls because it's small/overpriced - whichever way you want to look at it. I probably can get more portions from an Asian restaurant if I want a healthy bowl of shrimp/vegetable stir-fry. Conclusion: will return if someone pays for me. read more

I have come to Fresh millions only a couple of times, and every time previous to this had been great! But this time I decided to call it in so I could just come in and pick it up. Bad idea. I came in in 15 minutes, just like the guy told me to. He said "5 more minutes" and that turned into 15 minutes (there goes one star). My food was delicious as usual but I waited 30 minutes for it, when the girl that walked it after me and stood in line got it first. Lesson learned, it's a bad idea to call stuff in since they don't have a good system set up for it. The guy did apologize but he made an excuse that it was busy, which shouldn't really be one if he had time to pick up the phone, three people were serving, there was two people in line, and three cooks in the back (there goes another star). Pros: Great choices, good salads and bowls, good amounts esp salads, and I like the variety. Cons: Their system to order and pay is very, very slow because they don't have a dedicated cashier. So if you order To Go and wait at the cashier line, sometimes you stand there for quite a while waiting to see if one of the prep people will help you. Last night I ordered to go and a couple who had actually stood in line were also still waiting to pay. This is the only sticking point in an otherwise very good concept. Management, if you read these reviews at all, please consider tasking someone with being a cashier for each shift. My first time coming to tthis place and i liked that it was clean n the bar where all the veggies are looked fresh. I like the varieties of foods that you can get. The cashier or lady behind the counter was very patient and kind. I couldnt make up my mind n she took time to explain everything. I've had fresh millions a couple times now, and they have great on-the-go salads! While it is a salad bar, I recommend getting one of their pre-made salads. You can tell them how much dressing you would like, if you want to replace anything, etc. Of the salads, I recommend getting the southwestern salad. Beware, the salads are huge! So if you are up for a huge meal, go for it - otherwise consider the smaller portion or be prepared to save some for dinner. It's so simple to create an order...so how was it so badly messed up? I ordered a fried egg and got an omelette, okay fine they're both technically fried. But then they put teriyaki instead of szechuan.... like you only have 1 sauce to add and 1 protein source its not that complicated. Staff was very friendly and super fast. I designed my own bowl, a teriyaki, veggie, tofu, and brown rice. My boyfriend had a teriyaki beef veggie noodle bowl. They were both flavored well with light sauce and fresh tasting vegetables cooked just right. Each were $6.25 plus a side salad for $1.80 extra. Very delicious and reasonably picked. For a small place, they have a pretty good selection of healthy options. There were also places to sit despite a decent amount of people coming in and out. I ordered the Greek salad and added artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, and walnuts. I asked for the dressing on the side, because I don't like to saturate my vegetables with fat and oil.
