How the Pita Bread should look (not referring to it's contents in this pic)
    Sylvia C. F.

Experience Based review! It's a long one... I wasn't even going to review this place, I hadn't thought of it. That was until the woman's comment when she handed me my food. Her tone was an "oh well take it or leave it tone". So, patronizing! Back history, I am a deli snob and have a background in food, from Fast food to quick service, to fine dining and food trucks. I know how messy it can get, especially during lunch. SO yes, I can be biased when it comes to the food industry, and I can be very forgiving. But one thing I am very unforgiving about is the experience. If you are busy or having a hard time at work, it happens, no biggie we have all been there. But at least TRY to make the customer feel welcomed. I have never eaten at Erik's Deli before, and I have been in this town for 10 years now. So today, I decided to try them. I spent about 5 mins looking at the menu, asked about bread types because I am very limited on what I eat. On top of being picky, I have medical food restrictions. I know I know why not just make my lunch, sometimes people do not have time to! The Cleopatra wrap, with provolone and instead of the tortilla, if they could put in in the pita bread instead. I have to go back to work, so I figured it would be easy to eat one handed, as well as the fact that I do not like factory packaged tortillas. They taste like plastic to me. They woman behind the register assured me that it was okay, and that she made sure it was going to be made that way. Zero indication that it might be complicated, why would it. You have pita stuffed sandwiches on your menu. Here is why they MADE it complicated. 1- The woman did not make the modification on the screen or in the system, so the person making my Cleopatra did not know and started using the tortilla. 2- I asked, "Did you make sure to add the pita bread? She is using tortilla." "Yes, I did". a. Okay, cool. Maybe not my order. My bad, I will sit back and shut up. 3- Once "that order" was wrapped up and being bagged, the woman whom took my order turned and noticed, it was made wrong. They whispered harshly, looked at each other in irritation, warmed up two halves of a pita bread, cut the pita open on the sides instead of stuffing it. Opened up the finished wrap, pulled hand fulls of the contents and stacked in on the cut pita/s Closed them up and wrapped them. When she handed me my food in a bag, instead of "Here you go" or "your order is ready", I got "Here. If it didn't come out right it's because we have never done this one this way before, we did our best." - enter irritated eye roll here. Never have done what, stuffed a pita correctly! It was a bit sloppy, since it wasn't simply remade from the jump, it was disassembled, stacked on the pita and then re-wrapped. I mean it all tasted the same I guess, I am assuming. But are you effing kidding me. You are irritated because you messed up on the make, then lazily moved the contents over and you Nora, are going to give me cr@p for it. So now I am going to sit back and eat my messy pita stuffed sandwich in irritation instead of enjoying my lunch. Still having to hold it with two hands because it's contents are not nicely snug in it's pita, instead they're falling out the sides that have been sliced open manually, get behind on my work because now I have to actually put more effort into eating. Do better Erik's Deli, specifically Nora, your attituded toward a mess you created innocently, turned into a messy, inconvenient and bad lunch experience. Which is bizarre since there are mostly good reviews, I am sad that this was the way my first time here turned out, but glad it wasn't anyone else. If this was your best, I will just go Togo's or Subway, anywhere else rather that deal with an attitude that was self created. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On a happier note, the restaurant was clean, in order.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've been going to Erik's Deli Cafe on-and-off for about 20 years and slowly, they were disappearing. As of the last 5-6 years they seem to be making a comeback and opening up everywhere. First time at this Erik's Deli Cafe and place is bustling on a Saturday at 1130...placed an order online but no visible signage for online order pickup. I should've just cut up to the front but didn't want side eyes or scoffs. Sandwiches are always delicious as only place that adds alfalfa sprouts. The sprouts give it some freshness and slight crunch to any of their sandwiches. My favorites are the roast beef or pastrami options! Pricing seems to be inline with other sandwich spots averaging $12 with tax/tip. Other available items: chips, soups, green salads, potato and pasta salad and carrot cake. Place is clean, with outdoor seating. Staff friendly and I'll assume is the owner (Mina) was very welcoming and knows the regulars. Line was about 10 deep but she kept the line moving quickly and efficiently. Located in the strip mall with Dollar Tree and behind Golden Sand Harbor restaurant.

"Friendly, Fast Service, Tasty Meals, Clean" I am always looking for a light, healthy meal. Honestly, I forgot about Eric's until recently. It's easy to miss in this shopping center, because it's tucked a little ways back. Today I ordered the Strawberry Fields salad and my wife got a half Sweet Liberty sandwich. With two sodas our total bill was about $27. The salad is an especially light meal, moderately sized, and served with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing on the side. Just what the doctor ordered on a hot summer day. My wife tells me the Sweet Liberty sandwich was tasty, served with a pickle on the side. Okay, my wife hates pickles and I ate the pickle. The staff here was efficient and friendly. If you're looking for a light, quick meal, but better than fast food, this is a good option. I thought the prices were more than reasonable.

The food isn't just healthy; it's an explosion of flavor that's absolutely mouthwatering! Plus, the service is lightning-fast!

If you're looking for a well made sandwich, this your place! I wouldn't compare it to those other sandwich shops that are good but yet slathered in sauce. This is the place for a nice and simply well made sandwich with super fresh ingredients. One of a few sandwich spots that use sprouts which I happen to enjoy. I usually come before the lunch crowd and always get my order made quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Come check this place out and don't be discouraged by the alleyway location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    The Italian Job
    Melissa P.

Great little hideaway spot in a tidy strip mall with a Grocery Outlet, Round Table Pizza, Korean BBQ and Donut Shop near Tesla chargers. This was my second visit, both times getting The Italian Job on dutch crunch. Great sandwich neatly prepared with generous fillings and a separately wrapped pickle portion, cute! The sandwich was a little slim on the salami and pepperocini for the true Italian flavor but made up for it with ample other deli meats and fillings. The interior features dark wood paneling so was a little dim but there was ample seating plus a few tables outside. Lots of attentive staff preparing the sandwiches, salads and soup orders. The manager even circulating and wiping tables, welcoming guests. My sandwich was prepared surprisingky quickly at peak weekday lunch time. A great experience with quality and service!

Simple, yet tasty sandwich. I came when it wasnt busy, so the service was fast & the employees were helpful. I enjoyed my late lunch in a quiet cafe and I love that they give you a pickle. That's probably my favorite part about Erik's Delis I don't remember what sandwich I got, but I love the sprouts they put on the sandwich.

Overall, I really enjoyed the food here. The chicken rice was aromatic, flavorful and had a really nice texture to it. The chicken is tender and the thin outer skin has a gelatinous quality to it like a well-prepared Hainanese chicken. Honestly I had no notes on this dish. Hard to improve. I generally avoid roast duck at restaurants because of how fatty it is, but the one here was surprisingly good. While there were a few pieces with a thick section of fat between the skin and the meat, the majority of the pieces had a nice balance. There's a sweet tangy sauce that's included on the side with the duck that I really enjoyed as well. If you're looking for lean duck, you'll probably want to stick with the Chiu Chow marinated duck. Service is pretty minimal here, but our waitress stopped by our table once to refill our waters and to check on how we liked the food. Overall, 4.5 stars rounding up to a 5.

I placed the order over the phone and asked for it without the skin since I'm not a fan of slimy chicken skin unless it's crispy. A few minutes later they called back to ask if I wanted bone in or boneless. I told them bone in was fine, I just didn't want the skin. When I got home and ate it, the food was okay overall. The chicken was cold, not like it had been sitting out, but more like it had just come out of the refrigerator. The peanuts were actually a nice touch and added good flavor and texture. I also liked the ginger sauce they poured over the chicken, but there really wasn't enough of it. I wish they gave extra on the side in a separate container. The side veggies were okay too. It came with cucumbers, quail eggs, and fungus. I ate everything except the fungus. It had a very unique flavor that I just couldn't get into. Overall it wasn't bad, but I've definitely had better Hainan chicken elsewhere, so I'm not sure if I'd come back again.

It was early dinner time on a Friday evening and it wasn't overly crowded. All 6 of us got different items and overall it's a matter of preference for what kind of broth and protein you'd like that depicts the meal, the toppings are generally all the same. Consider this place to almost be a "make your own ramen" type of thing, in that you're given a platter of toppings to add to your bowl of steaming hot broth, mix it and let it sit, then voila! It's ready to eat. For a rainy winter evening, it was perfect to have some tasty noodle soup!

The service was really good, they are super on top of cleaning and serving so my food came out in about 15-20 minutes. I got the combo with an appetizer, drink, and noodle soup. The portions were pretty generous. -grapefruit tea: thought it was pretty yummy! I also tried out the super fruit tea and i really liked it but personally found it to be a little too sweet. Not too much to displease though! I mixed some water and it was perfect for me. -tomato beef brisket noodle soup: i was surprised by how tender the meat was and how much they actually give you. If you love tomato soups as much as i do then it's definitely a great option! -takoyaki & lamb skewers: my sister had one dish from her combo order and i has my own but was able to try both! The lamb skewers were a bit smaller than expected but were flavorful with a fragrant aroma. The takoyaki came in about 5 balls and while they didn't include all typical takoyaki toppings it was still pretty good considering it came as a combo! Overall, i really loved coming by this place, my main concern is that it's actually in a pretty busy plaza so parking can be a little difficult during peak business hours. Otherwise it's located in a really great area relatively close to some shopping areas such as the Livermore outlets or even other smaller shopping plazas. Unfortunately, our experience at the Dublin location was extremely disappointing. We visited on August 8, 2026, at around 8:45 PM. We are a family of 9 and were just passing through the area on our way to our hotel. Since the restaurant's website states that the closing time is 9:30 PM, we thought we had enough time to have dinner, especially since this was our first time visiting. As soon as we arrived, however, we were told by the server that 8:45 PM was the last call for orders. We immediately tried to order as quickly as possible using the online ordering system because we did not want to inconvenience the staff. After placing our order, we were then told that green tea and other teas were unavailable, so all of our drink orders were canceled except for water. We understood that items can sometimes run out, so we let that go. The biggest problem was the service and atmosphere after we received our food. It was very difficult to get the attention of the staff because everyone seemed to be rushing around cleaning. We genuinely felt like we were a burden simply because we were still eating. What was especially inappropriate was that while customers were still dining, the staff began putting chairs up on the tables. I even took a picture because I believe management should be aware of what was happening. If the restaurant is still open and customers are still eating, this is not the kind of atmosphere customers should be subjected to. Even worse, it appeared that the AC was turned off while we were still eating, even though it was not yet closing time. With hot pot already being a very warm meal, we were literally sweating while trying to eat. After a long day of traveling, the last thing we wanted was to feel rushed and uncomfortable during dinner. We tried not to make a big issue out of it because we were tired and simply wanted to finish our meal and get to our hotel. But honestly, this type of service is unacceptable. I don't know if this is how every Tasty Pot location operates, but if this is specific to this branch, management really needs to address it and properly train the staff on how to treat customers who are still dining during business hours. Unfortunately, this was our first experience with Tasty Pot, and it will most likely be our last. We were hoping to enjoy the food and understand why my sister recommended it, but the poor service and uncomfortable atmosphere completely ruined the experience. With hot pot, the food is already hot enough. There's no need for the customers to leave with a boiling-hot temper because of the service. Very disappointing, and definitely not a place I would recommend based on this experience.
