We normally love Friends but after last night they have definitely lost our business!!! I got a carry out order and after we got home & my kids grabbed 2 mozzarella sticks, and ate them, then I noticed freakin BODY HAIR in the container!!!! Yes BODY HAIR I called the restaurant to let them know & to see if they could just credit me the 2.99 + tax for next time. They insisted that I bring the 3 remaining mozzarella sticks back before they would do anything & it had to done before they closed. You have to be kidding me!! Do you really think someone would try to scam you out of $3?!?!? My conclusion is that they really need the money & that customer satisfaction is nothing to them. I've already driven up there once & now I have to again because they refuse to believe a loyal paying customer. NEVER EVER AGAIN! That's horrible business & they should be ashamed. The employees and manager were nice & apologized saying that the owner was the one making all the decisions on things like that! Ugh so irritated. Not to mention that when I did go back in to return the mozzarella sticks & body hair ALL employees were outside smoking and I had the opportunity to actually look at the kitchen which was disgusting. Never purchase a gift certificate from Friends Pizza in Lehigh. They will accept your money and write out a signed paper "receipt" for the value you paid them. Then when someone tries to redeem it, they will claim no such thing exist and imply it is made up. What a scam and very insulting. read more

I have been ordering pizza from Friends for almost 4 years. At one point it was once a week. So needless to say. I was very disappointed when I ordered pizza a few days ago. The issue started when I called to place my order. The guy on the phone kept asking me three or four times what I wanted on my pizza. Then when I tried to give my card number over the phone he asked me to hold on after I was halfway through giving it. I had to repeat it all over again. Then he quoted me 30 to 60 minutes! Over an hour later I called back to ask for a credit or compensation for waiting so long. I was told they no longer giving credit. I asked to talk to the manager and he told me it we are busy and was told it would take over 60 minutes and there's nothing they could do. Worst customer service! read more

I thought the pizza was better than expected. Compared to other local options anyway this place is worth your while. They have a couple of unique options such as the Portuguese or Catupiry pizza which I think makes Friend's Pizza a cut above the rest. read more

We have ordered pizza and hot wings several times. The first order was great, good delivery time and the food was still hot. The last three times we have ordered, it has take an hour and even longer to receive our cold pizza and cold "hot wings". I spoke with the manager and was told that we lived more than six miles away. Maybe they should tell you when you order that if you live more than six miles away you will get cold food. Manager refused to give me a refund for our $27.40 order. We always order online and get a "friends pizza" it's some of the better pizza in the area. Plus local business! Also if you order online you get some really good garlic knots for free. We always come pick it up. I haven't found any places in Lehigh that deliver fast. read more

I ordered with this company for the first time last week, had guest over from out of town due to my family and I moving to Lehigh 3 weeks ago. Everyone loved the food, and decided to add them to our favorite delivery companies list. I decided to order over $60 worth of food, paid online and got ready for a very nice delivery. They call me saying they can't take my order because I'm 1 mile out of their delivery radius. Only 1 mile, even though I just ordered over $60 worth of food AND was going to give at least a $15 tip. I picked up a BLT Sub that cost over $8.00 and it was so skimpy. Hardly any tomato, lettuce or bacon. I have to say that Subway makes it better. We love their Pizza !!!! the best in town, but very disappointed on the sub. Never order that again read more

This is the kind of place you see on TV that needs a makeover and someone goes in to help rescue them. The location itself is a hot-mess of poor interior decorating. Looks terrible,even a little dirty. Terrible, amateurish painting job, terrible presentation of everything. When we were there, one of the employee's children were being babysat there, obviously waiting for Mom to get off work. They were sitting in the last of only a few booths they have. There is no way they should be sitting there playing with toys while customers (us) had to sit at a small table for 2 right by the door. The soda situation was ridiculous. The pizza was 3 out of 5 stars, not bad, but not good However, the owner seemed like a really nice guy, very friendly too bad he needs a business make-over and doesn't even seem to know it. We went once and won't go back, even tho I like to give my money to Mom and Pop places. Just didn't feel comfortable there. read more

So I get a "gift certificate" in the mail saying welcome to the neighborhood please enjoy a FREE MED PIZZA DINE IN, CARRY OUT, OR "DELIVERY" We want your business please try us. I call to redeem the certificate only to be told I need to spend 10 extra dollars for delivery which is not stated in the certificate. I ask to speak to the manager get a really bad attitude and was told if I come pick up the pizza there will be no charge I told him the certificate makes no mention of the minimum delivery charge. In order for me to get my free pizza I have to spend 10 dollars. I ask for the managers name & he promptly hangs up on me. Also the menu which I stopped by the business earlier in the day to get a feel for the place does not mention a minimum delivery charge of 10 dollars. My advice to the owner sending these "GIFT CERTIFICATES" out to welcome people to the neighborhood should really go over telephone etiquette with his manager & employees. This place is AWFUL! We ordered a large cheese pizza with green peppers and onions. We were told it would arrive in 30 minutes. We waited an hour before we called the store back to see if they forgotten our order. 10 minutes later the delivery guy shows up. The order was wrong. I called the store to ask to be refunded for the pizza. They offer to bring me another pizza (which I can only assume would take another hour or so) or give me credit for next time. When I said I didn't want to order anything from them anymore, I just wanted my money back, they kept me on the phone for 20 minutes telling me that was impossible even though the manager was present. I eventually hung up the phone since they literally refused to help me. Two minutes later they called back and said "we can refund your money in cash, but we need the pizza back". Who does that??!!! Of course we took the offer because we weren't going to eat the pizza anyway. I just hope they don't deliver it to another unsuspecting customer. Ordered an 8:99 pizza to be delivered. Came to $11 and change with delivery. When the driver arrived I handed him a $20 bill and asked for $5 back. He told me he had no change. He took the money and left. Last time I order from Friends. They should make sure that their delivery people carry enough change with them! read more

We are great supporters of local mom and pop establishments and usually like to try to give them our business over corporate chains, so we decided to try Friend's Pizza. This Place has horrible customer service! We ordered from them last Sunday night and after waiting for over an hour the driver delivered our order and we gave him a generous tip. Upon opening the order we realized that it was not our order. We promptly called the place and they said yes they knew, that the people who had our order had just called as well. Although being upset for the mixup I tried to be understanding until they told me that their solution was to send the driver back to pick up the other people's order and deliver it to them and pick up ours and bring it back to us. First of all I pretty sure that that would be breaking some type of health code violations that they could probably be fined for if not shut down. When I told them that I was not comfortable with that, they said that they were not authorized to offer any compensation for the mix up and that the best that they could do was to remake my order and would have to wait another hour to receive. When I asked for a manager he simply handed the phone to his coworker who quite rudely repeated the same thing. I asked if she was a manager and she said that no, that there were no managers there and that I would have to call back during the day when the owners were there. The next day we made at least 4 different calls to speak with them, each time just being told that they were either busy or not there and we would need to call back another time. Upon explaining the situation to that person, he said that the only thing that he could do was to give us 15% off of our next order. A few days later I was driving by the establishment and decided to just stop in the make the owners aware of how badly the situation was handled. When the girl at the front finally asked if she could help me, I explained that I needed to speak with the Owner/Manager. She went to the guy making the pizza's and he wouldn't even look at me and just told the girl to find out what I wanted. I explained that it was about an incident that I wanted to make him aware of. He rudely just said that I would have to talk with someone else, who wouldn't be in for another week. He said that he was very busy and didn't have time for that. Come to find out he was one of the owners who was basically saying that I would need to come back in a week to speak with his wife, the other owner. I expressed my disappointment with their customer service and left. Obviously we will not be ordering from them in the future and will continue to discourage others from doing so as well. In our opinion Friend's pizza was a huge disappointment and far from being customer friendly. read more
