This is/was one of our go to spots for breakfast when we discovered it several years ago. A big menu with pages of good food and neat ambiance. When we arrived today they placed a single laminated page in front of us, and we all just looked at each other wondering where the menu went. We ended up asking the waitress and discovered we could still get things off the menu. We all ordered something not on the menu, I was just about to gather my family to leave before we discovered this option. Bring the full menu back to the tables. Food was still good, chicken fingers are good but were served barely warm. TIP - look back through the menu images to see more options that are apparently still available, like pumpkin waffles or sprinkle confetti pancakes. Great spot for family brunch! We are a family of 9 adults and 6 kids ages 5 and under & they were able to accommodate us no problem. This is such a cool restaurant to visit. If you miss the classic Chuck e Cheese, Showbiz or other locations in that vein you'll love it! The location is covered with small show scene of chicks cooking breakfast and chickens themed around famous people. Some include Elvis PresLAY, LAYER swift, and Jim HENson. There are two small shows that happen about every ten minutes. The chicks cook and move around to the peewee Herman music and the famous chickens cluck your favorite tunes. While we visited they performed the chicken dance, heard it through the grapevine and good old rocky top. It's so cool to watch these birds and experience something lost to time. The food is also pretty good! I enjoyed my breakfast with the pancakes and potatoes being a standout. They also made some great iced coffee. What an adorable place! On a family trip to this area, this restaurant was the highlight for my nephew but the adults loved it too! Great options for breakfast and lunch. Atmosphere was fun and easy going. The staff was very polite and attentive. The food was good nothing great and nothing tasted terrible. But I still left feeling like something was off and that something was an almost $9 charge for a paper thin slice of country ham. After eating the one that came with my meal that was$13 and had 2 eggs, potatoes, country ham and a waffle. But it was my fault I didn't ask the price but for such a small piece of ham I expected $4 ish. The entertainment is certainly the highlight of this restaurant that came recommended to my friends and me on our recent trip to Tennessee. I ordered the pumpkin pancakes which looked absolutely beautiful but were unexpectedly served cold (possibly so the cool whip on top didn't melt?). It tasted intensely sweet such that I didn't get very far into them and instead focused on my eggs, bacon, and potatoes that were also cold. The service staff were friendly, and I could tell they were doing all they could to try by to keep up, but nonetheless, service was slow. What is surprise this place was when we first went in!! There were chickens everywhere!!! (the kind you can eat and the kind that are stuffed! )10 minutes after we sat down all these chickens started dancing and singing and then 10 minutes after that the cows were moving & the baby chicks were dancing too! Really gimmicky place with subpar overhyped food that frankly costs too much. I will say that my kids (6&3) liked the singing and dancing chickens. But other than that, I left thoroughly unimpressed. And apparently according to my server it's unusual to want syrup with pancakes or waffles because it didn't come with any and when asking for it, it seemed like a chore to her. The atmosphere is so entertaining for both young and old! The staff was very friendly as well. Short wait and parking was easy but unfortunately this place is all hype. Starting with the "animated" chickens that sit above the dining area, these are in serious need of a update. Once the "show" started we weren't even sure that it was happening. 90% of the chickens even moved and the volume was so low that we struggled to hear the clucking. We all thought that it was some sort of weird warm up it was so bad. As for the food the chicken and waffles were not fresh. The waffle tasted like it had been sitting on a shelf for hours. In fact I had a better waffle at our Home2 Suites complementary breakfast! The chicken was almost stale tasting and dry. The biscuits and gravy were basic and had extremely "watery" gravy. Not awful but not good. The French toast was just ok. Make sure to check in to Yelp while your there for a 10% off coupon from the app. Sadly we will not be retuning to Frizzle Chicken unless some updates are made and the food is improved. My husband said that his chicken was real fatty and my biscuits were the size of a 50 Cent piece may be a little bigger and they were flat. But why they only got one star for me was because when we checked out they have all kinds of stuff upfront and so we bought some shirts and stuff and I wanted to give the waitress a tip and when the total came up on the register from what we bought along with our food, I put the tip on everything so the girl got like a $25 tip on $18 worth of food?
