Our family has been going to Frostie Moose for several years and each time we go, our visits always have us smiling. Whether it's the kind employees, the humor, or the care they take for food allergies (going above and beyond to accommodate the allergies), our visits are always the bright spots in our day! This was a nice place to relax for some great soft serve on a warm summer evening. The location is kind of out of the way but there is plenty of parking. There are some tables outside and a couple inside but the lobby is pretty small. Ice cream was very good and it was reasonably priced. The issue I had was with the staff. Yes they were friendly but there was a lot of joking around and one girl was yelling to what must have been another staff member who had just come in. We had only visited Frostie Moose once many years ago but decided to visit recently for a " last day of school treat". Seems many people in Woodbridge had the same idea but even in the crazy rush, the service was friendly and efficient! Flavors: Lots of great choices and small sample cups are provided if you're torn! We checked their Facebook page earlier in the day to see what the flavor of the day was and decided to try it out (caramel). They also had a specialty sundae that used the flavor of the day and that was delicious as well! Price: Totally reasonable. You're supporting a mom and pop establishment so feel good about where your money is going! The owner is right in there with the rest of the team which is always a great sign :) Seating: Outdoor picnic tables as well as some indoor seating (highchairs available). At first I thought this place would be like a Coldstone, where the ice cream are in buckets and they scoop out your choice of ice cream. Unfortunately it is not, the ice cream come out of ice cream machine like you would find in a buffet restaurant. So it means that their flavor a are vanilla and chocolate. The only way to get other flavors is by combining flavored syrup with vanilla or chocolate and other toppings to get the desired flavor. Yes it's that good. It is indeed five stars and a bag of chips. I have always been a big fan of the BR Yogurt spot down the street, but I think this place is the King of the Mountain for frozen treats in Lake Ridge. The twisted flavors are amazing... Instead of yogurt or custard Frostie Moose sells soft-serve which also has lower fat content than regular ice cream but it's just a good if not better. They have multiple flavors and all sorts of specialty treats. The sundaes and banana splits are heavy on the condiments and you feel like you definitely get your money's worth. They have a great outside seating area with umbrella tables and park benches. Not much to see at the intersection of Hoadly Road and Prince William Parkway, but the really yummy ice cream in your hand makes up for that. read more

My wife and I had the apple tart and Mexican chocolate sundaes, respectively. They were both amazing and delicious. The Mexican chocolate has a surprising amount of kick to it. And the tart was fantastic with just the right amount of caramel to make it like a candy apple almost.
