Eaten grilled cheese NO CHEESE CURDS.

If I could I'd rate it a zero... PAID for 2 milkshakes a grilled cheese and CHEESE CURDS. take a lucky guess on what happen NO CHEESE CURDS... got the sauce no curd. Very disappointing was dreaming of these delicious cheesy cheese curds I EVEN PAID FOR THEM to say the least has a very curdless day:( ps I hope u have a curdless day too.

    Pretty good for 5 bucks!

Crazy cheap open late high vegetarian options.. really there's nothing not to like about at Frugals. My daughter, a born again vegan loved it. the double and vegetarian burgers are great. We were the last customer and they just loaded us up on all the fries.. great stop. One thing I did notice was that their cooking staff doesn't wear masks, but I figure it's a Montana thing.

Pretty no frills, burger place. Went when there wasn't a too busy but saw the team throw away old fries and give me new ones which cannot be said for most places! Needless to say, fries were hot! & the burger was good too!

1/11/19 update: I waited a long time even though there were only 2 cars ahead. I waited at the window even longer. The worker then told me it would be a while and asked if I wanted a free milkshake. I thought, sweet! Free milkshake! But it was too thick to get up the straw. When he finally handed me my very basic order of chicken sandwich with fries and a drink, he apologized "for the order mix-up." I felt terrible for the several cars stuck behind me. The chicken was way overcooked. The fries didn't taste seasoned. I think they forgot the salt. Fairly good chicken sandwich, but the food tends to be a bit greasy. Decent halibut sandwich, served hot and crisp, but it didn't have enough tartar sauce and so was a bit dry. Good hot fe

Excellent easy to follow menu and fast service. Everything is made fresh so the burgers are really hot when they come through the window.

Super basic ass burger. But not in the "satisfying" basic way. It's just lackluster, that's all. I don't get it.

Husband and I split the 3 meat plate (although we were tempted by the special-beef ribs on mashed potatoes). We had brisket (good and my favorite), pork ribs (fall off the bone good and tasty), pork belly (hubby said it was good since it isn't my thing). For our sides we had collard greens (we fought over those they were so good), bacon Mac (creamy and smokey), and corn bread (so glad we each had our own serving of that or there would have been bloodshed). That cornbread was the best I have had at a restaurant in ages. Staff were on it. They were personable and friendly. Kitchen staff--wow. It was awesome to watch the magic and teamwork happening in the very small wizard's workshop. Thank you for the great night and the leftovers.

It almost feels like you're in a mineshaft or an antique store, which I thought was awesome. We are immediately greeted with a very friendly smile and told there were seats at the bar (the restaurant was packed, another good sign). A few minutes go by and we're still standing at the check-in, and another couple comes in. They are greeted in the same way, offered seats at the bar, and are thusly ushered to their seats... while we were still standing there. Okay, few more minutes go by and we call out the table that was just cleaned, and we get seated. The menu looks phenomenal, and we ended up getting the meat combo to try everything. This is where it gets even worse. The barbecue itself took a while to get to our table, which would be fine if it wasn't cold. Yes, you heard correctly, the barbecue was all cold. Baked beans had to have been Bush's. Potato salad and Mac was good, same with the cornbread. But the main things we paid $60 for were cold. The ribs were beyond burnt, and the brisket was tough. Oh, and the single sausage we got was slathered in mustard and barbecue sauce, come to think of it everything on the plate was slathered in barbecue sauce. Usually not a good sign lol. I really wish I could say nicer things about this place but I unfortunately cannot recommend it to anyone. But hey, they're packed so maybe that's just the quality of the food around Kalispell. Great Food Indoor and outdoor seating…read moreIncredible beer menu We made a stop here late in the day for some food and we were shocked how FANTASTIC the food was. Rarely do you find a spot that has great beer and great food, but Backslope does both But if you read my reviews, you know I like to steer you through the menu, at least what we tried. Foreman's Stout - full bodied, delicious. Ginger/Lemonade - refreshing, sooooo GOOD. House Fries - sliced as chips, but so good. Hummus - great consistency, but needed some citrus to finish it off. Still good, but I am picky about hummus. Tzatziki sauce - incredible, delicious, get this. Pecan Salad with Chicken - HOLY SMOKES, my wife loved this dish. She made me come back another time just so she vould have it again. Gyro Platter - light on the chicken, but really delicious. It was enough for two or more meals. Gyro - so full I could not fit it into my mouth. But enough for two. Really great find,

Five years ago I met the owner of Back Slope Brewery at a beer tasting in western Montana. That…read moreconversation convinced me to make the trip to Columbia Falls to visit the brewery, and I'm glad I did. What I discovered wasn't just excellent craft beer--it was some of the most memorable brewery food I've ever had. Back Slope took ordinary menu items and turned them into something extraordinary. The pulled pork sandwich and fried chicken sandwich were simply exceptional. The chicken was hand-cut, brined in pickle juice, carefully breaded, and fried to a perfect golden crust. The sauce brought everything together perfectly. Those sandwiches weren't just good--they were the reason I looked forward to returning. Unfortunately, on my most recent visit I discovered that both signature sandwiches are gone. The pulled pork sandwich has been removed from the menu, and the fried chicken has been replaced with commercially prepared chicken. We ordered other menu items, and while they were perfectly acceptable, they lacked the creativity and quality that made Back Slope feel special. What was once an unforgettable dining experience has become, in my opinion, just another brewery with decent food. The service, however, remains excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and greeted us with a genuine smile, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I understand that restaurants evolve and sometimes difficult business decisions have to be made. Still, it's disappointing when the very dishes that set a place apart disappear. Back Slope still has good beer and great service, but the unique culinary experience that once made it worth going out of my way to visit no longer seems to be there. I sincerely hope they consider bringing those signature sandwiches back, because they were truly something special.

I went here because it was right next to the hotel I stayed at…read more I went in not even knowing what was there food wise. I walked in there and it looked like a burger place. The place was basically empty with maybe 2 families. I decided on getting a burger and dr pepper. Then I went to order my food and the service was good. I then went to the soda fountain to get dr pepper and then I looked over and saw there was vanilla creamer. And if you know me I love dirty soda so of course I put the vanilla creamer in the dr pepper and it was good. Then I sat down and waited and after 2 minutes the food got there. I then took a bite of my burger and if I'm going to be honest the buns tasted dryer than the Sahara desert. But besides that the food was good. I then had to go to the bathroom and I saw their rewards on the wall on the way there. The bathrooms were nice I guess. Also the vibes of the restaurant were actually really good for a American fast food place with the pink, blue, and white. Overall good burger place

I am not from the area and had never heard of or seen this chain before so I decided to stop here…read moreand grab lunch. I tried the beast mode sandwich, large fries, cheese curds and of course a Huckleberry shake. This is the first fast food place I have ever been to where I actually liked the fries more than the cheese curds. The curds were a bit oily for me, but the fries were well cooked and salted and had a great flavor on their own... I didn't even need to use the sauce they provided. The chick had a light huckleberry flavor that was nice and the sandwich was definitely hefty. It tasted good and I liked the way they layered the meat and cheese. My meal was around $25 so I don't know how "frugal" they are, but I know I got a lot of specialty items so I understand. Service was good, but slow. The young woman who served me was lovely but the wait was longer than expected. I would definitely stop by this chain again and I'm glad I got to try them.
