Had to wait about 5 minutes to place an order. Asked for a well done 1/2lb burger. Waited about 20 minutes to get the burger and cut it in half since my wife and I were splitting it. Raw was what I got and the fries were cold. I took it back to the counter and the guy asked if it would be okay to put it back on the grill. Right. My first Fuddruckers experience included only a bourbon burger - one of the special new dishes offered, and I admit it was very tasty and flavoursome! For other newcomers, it's self catering, your order has a number, and you pick up your order when called. You have four options for how would you like your burger cooked. The next funny bit is that you decide what salad toppings you will add!! I didn't get any fries but tried them out from my friend, and they were crunchy and not too chunky. I have been going to Fuddruckers since the early 1980's when there was only one is San Antonio. Never disappointed. This time I ordered my burger medium, just like I always have. I got a burger that was bloody. The girl at the counter tried to tell me that was their medium but the manager stepped in. They remade the burger (medium) and threw in some fries for the trouble. I would highly recommend this restaurant. If they don't get it perfect the first time, they will make it right! And it's still one of the best burgers you can buy! read more

This manager goes out of his way to make your meal more than just a meal. First off I'm going to come clean and say, as much as I don't like chain restaurants especially corporately owned chains, I have never had a meal at FuddRuckers I didn't wholeheartedly enjoy. Largely because the meat is never frozen and always made to order so it's not by any standard "fast food." Anyway, this manager doesn't remember me from two weeks ago when I came here after passing one exam and failing another on a windy day but he approached me to seemingly just make conversation when he saw me coming back inside from the patio to ask me if the weather was too cold (and I didn't realize he worked here). I responded that it was actually starting to rain but it was much warmer outside than inside. He came back up to me a few minutes later to tell me that he turned down the AC which is how I came to understand he worked there. Yesterday, I was in a stupid argument with my girlfriend that didn't make any sense and when he asked how my day was going I asked him if he would be so kind as to punch me as hard as he could in my head. He kind of laughed and told me to have a seat and relax a bit and when my girlfriend showed up (who was behind me driving herself) he would take care of both of us. I'm not going to say what he did for us on Yelp because I don't want him getting in trouble with corporate but he managed to brighten up both of our days, significantly, in a way specific to New Mexican hospitality which I've come to appreciate, greatly. Afterwards, another employee came by to give up fresh cookie samples. Anyway, our day was really turned around by this man's gesture as it was when I came in two weeks ago alone. As much as I love FuddRuckers' burgers (especially because they always cook them as rare as I like them) I got a spicy crispy chicken sandwich on wheat bread and my girlfriend got the grilled chicken. I loved mine. (In fact, I think I may go back for another tonight.) And she kept saying "wow, I can't believe how much I like this place." The condiments bar is just as appetizing. I always use every opportunity to load up on vegetables when I can and their lettuce is supper green in color and extra crispy so I pile it on. And the free cookies we're good too! My only criticism of the location is that it tends to get full of flies. They weren't bothering us but still I'd like to see something done about it. As far as chains go, I love FuddRuckers. But this manager really pushes this location to another level, almost like having a beer at your friend's basement man cave bar. read more

I like to get the half pound fudd 66(green chili) cooked medium well. If you get the 1/3 pound it will likely be over cooked and not juicy! I like to add chopped onions, lettuce, tomato, pico, heinz mayo, ketchup, yellow mustard, jalapeno chedder on my burger. Try dipping the potato wedge french fries in mayo mixed with ketchup. The above instructions with all fixings are the secret to having a good enjoyable burger at this place. I have one complaint that last time I got a bone fragment in my burger after it was half eaten but they gladly volunteered to take it back and get me a new one which didn't take too long. This was my first time here, I ordered the texas burger, OMG it was so delicious, the best burger I have had ever. The meat had a great taste, great seasoning, the bread was so soft and fresh, all the things to put in the burger like tomato, lettuce, onions everything was so fresh! Food was good and ready fast. Service, not so good. It took a few minutes for someone to take our order but he was nice. The girl who delivered the malt acted like she didn't want to be here. Great experience this afternoon at Fuddruckers. I hadn't been here in a while and so. I decided to stop in for a Cajun chicken sandwich. Fuddruckers never ceases to amaze me. Every Tuesday I go in to grab a bite to eat, I am greeted with open arms! Like I am part of the fudd family. The staff is excellent, I have to give name shout outs to Linda, jasmine(assistant manager), Robert, Tiffany. These staff members are outstanding. I know it was a Friday night in Albuquerque.. but to wait 19 minutes for a Kobe burger and its cold....come on. They did offer to cook me another and I would have accepted, normally. While I waited to hear my name called I timed how long a burger was sitting on the counter. 6 minutes later they called my name, I feel sorry for that customer. I picked my order up and touched the patty and it was cool to the touch. Two weeks before I had to go to the urgent care for food poisoning, that messed me up for 3 days, (was a different restaurant) . So once bitten twice shy, I was not going to take a chance on getting sick again. Goodbye Fuddruckers, you have lost a customer. We really like the food here but the lower rating is due to the staff constantly coming to your table to see if you are done. Also they do this while carrying a tub of dirty dishes which I don't want to see if I am eating! Today several people have come to our table within a couple of minutes of each other.
