If you haven't been to Fuego Burger you are missing out. My wife and I have been here several times and have always been greeted with friendly service and amazing burgers and rings. Today was exceptional. We ordered a 1/2 pound burger and rings to split and the owner gave us a sample of his chili. Never had that before here but it was very tasty so we ordered a pint to go. He also has a "seasonal" Chile Verde Stew" that he gave us a sample of. We'll be back for that no doubt. If you love cheese, order any burger "Fuego Style" or just go with the Fuego Burger. Another FDub Burger Blessing! I've often said the FDub is the best place in the world to get a hamburger. I mean, we are Cow Town! Fuego Burger now joins the ranks of the myriad of delectable joints to get an amazing burger. We had several different options among our party of nine this past Saturday night. Even the chicken strips were great! They have lots of desserts to choose from as well. It was a little annoying to have to keep asking for napkins, like we were kindergarten kids who couldn't be trusted with a napkin or paper towel dispenser at our table, and the same with utensils. You had to ask, then wait for some to be brought out. Seating is cramped as well, but the place was clean. They need to tweak a few things that should be obvious, like allowing patrons to get napkins, duh! But overall it was a good and we will return! read more

Hubs and I finally went to Fuego Burger today. Happy to say it didn't disappoint...in fact it was DELICIOUS! I read the reviews posted and decided on The mushroom bacon Swiss burger and onion rings. Ordered my burger medium well which was slightly pink in the middle and perfect. As I cut the burger in half it was so juicy and cooked perfectly! The buns are fabulous. Super fresh, a lil tiny bit sweet. The seasoning on the burger was excellent. Flavorful, a tiny bit of spice. Delicious fresh bacon and lots of sautéed mushrooms. The onion rings were nice and thin, great batter, not greasy. My husband had the Fuego burger and fries. The Fuego burger had a beautiful "skirt" of cheese that was golden brown and added great flavor. The burger came with green chili's, lettuce, tomato,onion. He loved it! Had the mushroom burger during burger week, have to say, if the rest of their burgers are similar, then this place is a must go. The Pattie was super juicy and soft cooked quite nicely. I also had the onion rings which were decent. The only warning that I have, which would have made this review a 4 start if wasn't for their burger being good, is the wait was super long, I think it took almost an hour to get the burger, granted this was on a weekend during dinner time but still so long for a burger. Cowtown & Bacon cheese burgers are both out of this world! The hamburger patties are juicy and spiced perfectly. The brisket on the Cowtown is perfectly cooked and seasoned. The buns are a big part of the overall experience, they are super soft and a tiny bit sweet. Great size, perfect for sharing! Handmade Onion Rings...what can I say!? Perfect thickness and the batter is like a tempura type. Thin and crispy. Street Tacos (carnitas) SO good but a little too tiny for 2.50 a pop. Still definitely worth trying. The salsa was seasoned perfectly and the carnitas were so juicy. Service & Atmosphere: They were very busy tonight but that just means you're doing something right! Been wanting to try this place for a while. It's a mom-and-pop shop, a dive, hole-in-the-wall, whatever you want to call it. I was more interested in the burger. You can't really measure a burger's true quality if it's topped with chili, or jalapenos, mushroom/onion sauce, bleu cheese, etc. Anybody can make a decent burger with strong flavors on top of it. I had the 1/2 lb. Classic American Cheeseburger with fries. They're very clear about the fact that they cook their burgers medium, but you can have it however you prefer. It was awfully good. Fresh, high-quality beef, juicy and well-seasoned. Toppings were fresh. Burger/roll ratio was decent, but the sourdough roll was too sweet and too "pillowy" for my taste. If you were to put this burger on a toasted brioche roll, or even a potato roll, I might call it the best in FW. Bottom line: The place: Yeah, it's a dive, but it's clean, and it's comfortable enough. Napkins and S/P on the table would be nice. A self-serve drink station would be even better. The "No refills if you share a drink" sign might explain their reluctance to install one... The food: Though I didn't care for the roll, it's still a great burger. Fries were just frozen crinkle-cuts. Next time I'll try the rings or tots. Service: They were moderately busy and our order was served in 10-12 minutes; totally reasonable to me. Carlos was efficient but not unfriendly. It's essentially counter service so I didn't expect anyone to check on us or refill our drinks. Value: On the lower side. A la carte pricing, and it's a bit chintzy where you get dinged for every little thing. Considering everything(the place, the service level), it's a bit overpriced. Overall, on a 5-point scale, it's better than a 3 but not quite a 4. I'm not going out of my way to return, but it is a great burger so I'll be back when I get the opportunity. read more
