By far, hands down, my favorite Mediterranean place to eat at!! It is soooo good, I can't even explain in words! I order the same thing every time and never get sick of it! Even though I'm vegan, I love coming here and eating the falafel plate! For my two sides, I get hummus and batata harra (the potatoes- which are to die for because they are that good) Sometimes, I'll get the grape leaves if I want something different. Fufus is the spot in South riverside! Food is amazing, fairly priced and the staff is cool too. They have hookah next door and the coke machine with a bunch of flavors. This place in the food lab in downtown Riverside is pretty good. The hummus seemed a little bland but the peta bread was fresh baked, soft and delicious! The falafel was also very dood. They had a lot of interesting choices for sides as well like fried potatoes. I also tried the baklava and it was really good and the price was right (2 for 2.99). The only reason that they are getting 4 stars us because of the underwhelming hummus and the expensive prices. The service was fast and friendly. Great middle eastern food. The place is setup like a fast food restaurant, but it's far beyond that. The food is great and the service just as good. It's a clean restaurant as well. If you like hookah, they have a hookah lounge next door, but it's all part of the same establishment. They also have a patio area for dining outside. My favorite restaurant in orangecrest . The food and customer service are exceptional . My favorites are their mouth watering pita breads with all the hummus , baba ganoush and tabbouli . Love, love, love their chicken kabobs. OMG they are perfectly marinated and cooked just right. The meat is juicy and tender. Not chewy or overcooked. I wish they had more veggies but all the meat is delicious. Their garlic sauce is great too. I wasn't a huge fan of their shawarma but my husband did like it. I've gone to this restaurant as both customer and delivery driver. Their food is good but not always the customer service. I wanted to complain but I figure why bother since it's family owned. I was there as a delivery driver and left feeling very disappointed that I've ever given them my business. I was directed to the area and began looking for the customers' name. An awful woman from behind the counter loudly stated "no no no, don't touch my food!" As I was explaining myself and about to apologize she snapped again with "well you weren't told to come over here and start touching stuff". Don't know what her deal is-perhaps she looks down on delivery drivers or doesn't want to be part of the family biz. Either way, I won't be frequenting their establishment again. read more

Great Middle East Restaurant just around the block! Food was excellent all around-presentation, flavor, portion size. I ordered the "Beef Kabob" plate and I enjoyed it from start to finish. In addition, the establishment is really nice and clean and with the extra amount of space outside, they give you a nice ambiance to enjoy your meals outdoors. They have lots of 80's music playing w/Casey Kasem as DJ/MC while you enjoy your meal, which by the way was nice to hear his voice again, but not too loud to where you can still enjoy your company. Since becoming pregnant all I crave is Middle Eastern food! My family and I tried Fufu's for the first time this weekend and I must say the food was excellent! We have been looking for a Middle Eastern restaurant in our area, but have not had any luck. We ordered: -3 Cauliflower Pita Wraps -1 Large Fufu's Favorite Salad -3 Sides of Fries -1 Order of Potatoes -1 Order of Hummus -2 Garlic Sauces -1 Large Rice -4 Pitas -1 Drink The portion sizes were perfect. We are a family of 3 and it took us 2 days to finish everything. My husband initially complained about the price we paid for everything, but once he saw the portions and tasted the food that shut him up! Everything tasted amazing! The pita wraps were nicely filled with veggies and had great flavor. Loved the salad, although I may have them put the dressing on the side next time because the salad was so big and we couldn't finish it. The fries were nicely seasoned and crunchy. The potatoes were the best I've had at any restaurant! Great flavor and cooked really well. The hummus wasn't too salty and had a light flavor, which we liked. The rice was excellent! Very large portion, even for the 3 of us, but tasted so good we couldn't get enough. The pitas tasted fresh and they were soft. My husband devoured the garlic sauce. LOL! It's really garlicky so be careful eating this on a date, but it was so yummy. Our food was still hot when we brought it home despite having to drive 10 minutes to get home. We loved everything about our meal and will be back soon. Only issue we had was that since we placed the order for pick up, they forgot to include our drink, but I blame my husband for not double checking since he always seems to forget something when picking up food. *side eye* read more

If you have never had great middle eastern food you might like it. But if you are Middle Eastern and you cook you will probably feel the same way we felt. Portions could have been much better as well. Despite all of the downs we ate it and it did the job of filling us up, so take this all with a grain of salt. read more
