ORDERS: - BBQ Eel Bowl - Tokyo Steak & Veggie Bowl - Volcano Roll - Chicken, Steak, + Tempura Bowl - Green Tea All the bowls were delicious and filled! Quality meats and flavor! I really like their steak and eel. The chicken could have used more flavor but overall cooked well. The volcano roll was my fav cause it's baked scallops and they were fresh. Quick service, friendly staff.

    Chicken lunch box

Placed a phone order, customer service was good and the staff were nice. Grabbed sauces to go. Food was yummy and the price was good with a decent amount of food. I got the chicken lunch box plate substituted rice for all veggies for .50 more. $11.49

I tried their salmon bowl with rice and imitation crab. The food itself was fine as it had flavors you'd expect from the fish and crab, but nothing more. The service was alright and the price was expensive for what was a small bowl of food with thinly sliced salmon. The interior was old and there was no restroom, so I wouldn't recommend dining inside.

The interior is fairly standard, but it's always clean, which is nice.

Fuji Grill never disappoints. I love their chicken balls and the price is extremely fair. The chicken is always perfectly cooked and the rice is always cooked perfectly. The employees are always happy to help with any additional items that I may need. I come here at least a few times a week so I hope thank you so much appreciate it. Thank you. The ambience of the restaurant is fairly straightforward. Nothing to flashing. I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody and get the chicken bowl

    Volcano Roll - Baked Scallops
    Tommy L.

For as long as I can remember--even back when I was a waiter in the '80s at Coco's--I've loved baked scallops. I used to eat them all the time on my breaks, and that love never faded. Now, every time I go to a sushi spot, I always order a scallop roll. And as weird as this may sound, out of all the sushi places I've been to, Fuji Grill has one of the best baked scallops--even better than some high-end sushi restaurants! The Volcano Roll is a baked scallop roll loaded with tender, buttery scallops mixed with imitation crab, layered over a bed of sushi rice, and topped with vibrant orange tobiko. It's slightly torched for that perfect caramelized finish, adding a subtle smokiness that enhances the richness of the seafood. It comes with a side of soy sauce and I always get the spicy mayo sauce to complete the experience. Fuji Grill itself is a no-frills spot--your typical quick-service sushi joint, usually staffed by a high schooler working the counter. But what matters is the food, and this roll delivers. Whether you dine in or order ahead, they serve it up fresh and fast. If you're anywhere near a Fuji Grill, do yourself a favor and order the baked scallops. Highly recommended!

    Crunch Roll & Miso Soup

I was feeling under the weather and the crunch roll and miso soup made me feel a little better. Comfort food is a must when trying not to catch a cold! My boyfriend picked this up for me and he said the service was quick. The ambiance was very quiet. He said there wasn't a long line.

Food was great! I'd say even better than the one located in Anaheim off of La Palma.... But man the customer service SUCKS!!!!! Which is why this review is receiving 2 stars.... When my family and I walked up to order our food, we were not greeted by the cashier, I actually HAD to speak to her TWICE before even being acknowledged to take our order.... She act like she didn't want to be there and was bothered she had to work... All in all, I would definitely return as long as that cashier is not taking orders, if you don't like your job find a new one, but don't ruin others experience with your lack of customer service skills

Very rude Employee, doesn't care for the customer.

I had the salmon and avocado handroll as well as the crab handroll. Both were good. I also had the OC roll and grilled salmon -- also very good. Some Asian places tend to overcook their meat. The salmon was cooked well ... I would have preferred a tad more rare, but it was good and not dry. My son had the salmon sashimi as well as lamb chops. He wanted a little more seasoning in the lamb chops but says they were cooked well. I think Japanese food tends to be conservatively seasoned in general. Other dishes also looked good. I thought everything was good but didn't think anything was amazing. My wife particularly appreciated that just about all of the menu items had pictures! Service was good and friendly even though they all seemed a little harried.

I can understand how business owners, managers, servers, and customers are all caught within the vicious fluctuations of markets and so on. However, what I was recently served at Kaizen Shabu last week was, to my mind, an egregious example of a restaurant offering well below the bare minimum of what should be expected for the prices listed (and my photos will show this, I believe). At the outset, I want to say I have no grievances with the servers. Our server was kind, attentive, and was elegantly multitasking. Bravo. Now, the food: we ordered the salmon "sashimi" plate, and what we were handed was a platter of the thinnest, grainiest, obviously-thawed and poorly sliced salmon I've ever eaten in my life. I was a bit shocked. At Cal Shabu Shabu (and other shabu places I tend to frequent more often), sashimi is... sashimi. It *looks* like sashimi because it IS sashimi: a piece of salmon purchased by the restaurant and knife-cut into appropriate portions depending on what portion size the customer has ordered. It is sashimi that gleans in the light, where the striations of fat and tissue are visible to the naked eye on the fish itself. As you can see from my photos, we were served paper-thin salmon that I could barely peel off of the plate with my chopsticks without ripping the fish into smaller, grainier pieces. It was all but inedible, in my opinion. This is not sashimi, and to serve such a thing for the price listed is beyond atrocious: it is an outright deception. Now, onto the side of veggies and noodles that come with every order of meat or fish. Perhaps the cooks could not be bothered, but what I received was broken tendrils of 2-inch udon haphazardly thrown into a bowl. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the chefs, with a dwindling supply of food nearer the end of the night, or if this restaurant truly does not care about the quality of what they are serving customers. Again, I think my pictures speak for themselves. I used to love coming here as the atmosphere was chic, and the servers are so kind. After my last dining experience, however, I cannot justify the price of my bill in the face of the quality of the food I am being served. I won't be returning, sadly. I hope the manager has an opportunity to look at these photos and perhaps reassess what can be done to improve what they are serving their customers.

There was a small wait but it wasn't too bad. The store is in a small strip mall of Tustin. The restaurant is very clean, everyone is extremely friendly and quick to respond anytime anything was needed, I ordered the Karaage soba set and it was more than enough food for at least 2 meals. There were only two chefs preparing food for the entire restaurant, so everything can take quite a while. Unfortunately, I didn't think the food quite lived up to the waiting time. The udon had a huge amount of noodles but not much in the way of vegetables or protein. The curry was just okay, and the soba was also pretty average. The highlight was definitely the shrimp tempura--it was huge, crispy, and nicely fried. Service was okay overall. If you're coming here, I'd recommend being patient and trying the tempura.
