Came here for lunch on Sunday. The food and service were great for the price. I would highly recommend the place!

Ordered some food to go and noticed a huge ass pubic hair on my food. Yes pubic HAIR. Not an eyelash or hair from your head,that you can say accidentally fell on someone's food. It literally looked like someone in the back pulled out a pubic hair from their genital area and lucky me happened to find it in my meal.the most disgusting and sickening thing I've ever seen. I go back and the manager tells me he was gonna credit me my money so I could go back and get something some other time..?? Why in the hell would I ever want to eat there again.. anybody eating here I'd recommend to check your food before eating, before it's too late and don't even notice. I'm sure it's not the first time and probably won't be the last time that this has happened.. read more

Fuji Grill must be a franchise. I have not been impressed by several others that I've been to. But this one in Orange is very good! The food tastes fresh and has consistently been great. I usually get the chicken and beef bento meal. It has a little bit of everything. In some of the photos posted here it looks like the meal comes with a roll as well. I've never had one with a roll. That would be nice addition though. read more

Be carful when you order food during a lunch rush and they skip your order number repeatedly and you watch other customers who ordered after you get their food before you using the excuse we are backed up. When you inquire about your order you are looked at as if you are out of line with no apology whatsoever. If you like that kind of service then this is the place for you. If your thinking I order something special which might take a long time to cook I ordered a steak bowl with veggies. It took a whopping 30 mins. read more

Such a gem to find! I barely discovered Fuji grill about a month ago, and have been going back weekly ever since. The way they marinate their chicken and beef just blows flame boiler, and wabba grill out the water. I think you get a lot for what you pay for, and everything is just delicious. They sell the special teriyaki sauce too but only at the Orange location. Definitely one of my go-tos from now on. Staff is super friendly, and facility is really clean! I usually get the chicken box, and that can feed 2 people easily. read more

First of all Hector is awesome I've been coming here for 6 years and the Food and service are always on point. I typically order a super bowl with a side of shrimp tempura and a small crunch roll which are all amazing. Also you can call in your order and it will be ready in 10-20 minutes. I am a frequent customer of Fuji Grill (well at least when I can be). I am a fan of their chicken bowl & chicken/veggie bowl. The taste is always consistent, good quality ingredients, and a clean atmosphere. Hector, the guy who works behind the counter (he's literally there every day..hard workin' guy) is a friendly person and always has a smile on his face. I like the price for the bowls, less than $6 bucks if you order the regular chicken bowl. They have a California roll for less than $3 bucks but I don't think it's that great, stick with the chicken bowls you won't be disappointed. The worst service I have ever received. I came in a I place my order I always repeat my order to avoid getting my food wrong. 1. The front staff guy, young green eyes light skin, messed up my order. 2. My food was cold 3. I mentioned to him as, he completely ignored and was rather giving out his number to his buddy. Stayed blank for another 2 minutes as says "I didn't charge you for brown rice" Are you kidding ? He was slow at processing everything. It's been about 4 years since my last review of this place and it's still great! I eat here at least once a week and sometimes up to two or three times. The food is consistently good, healthy and a decent price. I don't understand the criticisms about the service because Hector, my friend who works behind the counter, is kind and attentive to everyone. He remembers most peoples orders and even walks their talk-out order to the table where they are waiting. I'm baffled that Fuji Grill only has 3.5 stars when a horrible restaurant like Jagerhaus (in Anaheim) has 4 stars and a lousy donut shop like The Donuttery (in Huntington Beach) has 4.5 stars! This Fuji Grill location is the best. Consistently great food and great service. I used to eat here when I worked in the area. Now, I just stop in when I'm in town. My brother is a regular here. We like to get the chicken and veggie bowl. All of their food is good though. The place is maintained well and the quality of the food is great. I love Fuji Grill. This has been the 3rd location I've tried. Out of the 3 I've been to, this is the only one that does not have a restroom for customers. The food is great. I usually just get the chicken & steak bento. This time I also got extra shrimp tempura and a Washington roll. This location gives edemame with the bento, whereas the one in Brea gives 2 prices of California rolls. The Fuji Grill teriyaki sauce is the best thing ever. I was a little sad that the cashier turned half the lights off as soon as it turned 9pm. I was nearly done eating & I wished I was better able to see my food with the lights still on. read more

When I worked in Orange 8 years ago I used to come here all the time because it was one of the few places to eat nearby that I could get delicious but healthy food. Just went back here recently and I think the same guy still mans the place, haha. There are a lot more sushi and poke options now too. The food is still good but my only gripe is that the salmon portion is very, very small. I don't think it's worth the price paid. read more

I remember my last visit was about 3.5 stars...however after today I'm going to change it 1.5 stars. Service was fast and with a smile! Today, I paid $8.35 for a Grilled Salmon Rice bowl. It was 2 cups of steam rice, 8 small pieces of edamame and a very very thin, overcooked salmon. It was almost like salmon jerky. Big huge disappointment and so not worth the price. 3 1/2 stars. Considering we were here on a Sunday afternoon, they were actually pretty busy. I think maybe about 7 tables were filled? Impressive. Service is pretty nice. I didn't really notice but my boyfriend said that from his visits here, they're always friendly and polite. This place was clean. My boyfriend works down the street from this place and his co-workers have developed a certain fondess for Fuji Grill. Considering that the immediate area rates about a C- for lower-in-fat food options, this isn't a bad choice at all. Keeping in mind that this is a fast-food Japanese, it was pretty tasty. I also thought that considering they mostly do bowls, they had quite a few choices, from salmon (teriyaki and sashimi-style) to poki to teriyaki. Now if you were expecting food that's Chef Morimoto quality, well, then this is not. My boyfriend favors the steak (or whatever it is) bowl with veggies. It was $6.40. I will say that the portion isn't huge for that price, but he was full. The steak is pounded/sliced very very thin so the charred flavor of the grill is quie obvious. He likes it thin and charred, I usually favor thicker slices. I tried the dynamite bowl, which has spicy tuna and smelt eggs. I will admit that for $7.25, it could really use more rice (although, personally, I don't need the extra rice for carb-control issues). On the other hand, I will say that the amount of tuna was fairly generous. It wasn't too spicy (b/c I'm wimpy) and seemed to be pretty fresh. I haven't cuddled my porcelain friend yet so it's looking good. So this place isn't bad for 1) where it is 2) what it is. It's not gourmet but this area really needs some non-greasy food options. Can't go wrong with a teriyaki bowl for lunch here, starts at $3.75 and its a decent sized portion. Definitely something I can get full off of if I'm not trying to eat a huge portion. Last time I went I got the chicken and seaweed salad which was a pretty decent portion. The seaweed salad was great, the dressing was perfect, and there was a ton of chicken. My boyfriend and I are frequent diners... or taker-outers ;) It boasts its own parking lot, indoor and outdoor seating, digital tv, cleanliness, trendiness, and quick and pleasant service, even when it's busy. The food is good. I like the menu selection-- sushi, bowls, salads, beverages. You have options, such as: 1/2 & 1/2 orders, brown rice, veggie substitutions, and extra steak/chicken. Depending on how you'd classify the joint, it might be considered a little pricey for their portions and certain items. The sashimi is sliced pretty thin and you don't get much. Also, the Tokyo Steak Bowls are really tasty, but sometimes you'll find charred pieces of meat, drenched in teriyaki sauce as a cover-up. Man, I'd sure love it if they had Udon! read more

Okay, so I usually only order the chicken and veggie bowl with brown rice. But it's always delicious, and I don't hate myself after eating the whole thing. It's, like, $6, which is totally reasonable. This place is clean, fast and friendly. I never actually get sushi here, but the rice bowls are super convenient and a great alternative to your typical fast food for lunch. I also recommend the dynamite (spicy tuna) rice bowl. FYI: you can substitute all veggies for the rice. I'm giving it 5 stars for what it is, not because I've been blown away by this place. It's really not a sushi restaurant. I grabbed a Tokyo Steak/Chicken Teriyaki bowl here yesterday. In the past I've had REALLY bad experiences with this chain-- I got food poisoning after eating some salmon from the Foothill Ranch location-- but I decided to give it another try since I was craving Japanese and Fresh & Easy across the street was all out of their little sushi plates. The bowl wasn't bad-- the steak was tough, but I expect that from cheap steak. The chicken was almost all dark meat, which isn't bad, per se, it's just not as good for you, and since they really upsell how healthy they are, I'm disinclined to agree. It was nice that there was no skin on the chicken though. I hate chicken skin. I subbed out brown rice in my bowl for $0.50, which brought the total of my lunch to something like $8. I thought the price was pretty steep for a little rice and a little meat. If I'm in the area again and I need a quick lunch, I'll be back here. I just can't control my cravings for brown rice and teriyaki sometimes. read more

I like spicy tuna with sushi rice (the rice is supposed to be not-hot...), and they had a spicy tuna bowl for under $7, so this place doesn't really fail in that aspect. Otherwise, it's a bit overpriced, and the selection is mediocre. There's a japanese restaurant literally across the street in the same mall as the fresh&easy and starbucks that's yummier and cheaper. For about the same price as the spicy tuna bowl from here with the salad and drink I got chicken teriyaki on rice with roasted veggies on a skewer and a huge salad. Food update only, since the service ( Hector, always happy to see us), cleanliness, and quality is awesome. Before you could get a good serving in whatever bowl you purchased, happy to be paying $7.95 for it plus tax. Now it's so skimpy. It's ridiculous. Fuji you didn't increase your price, but you are way under-serving the bowls. I have to say you do a good job of keeping up the illusion of a full bowl. Only coming back sparingly.
