Very good very tasty place!! Small restaurant with a nicely focused Thai and sushi menu. Service is fast, attentive, accurate. No smiles or ass kissing fake friendly- but professional, refills automatic and quick, extras offered- rather get good prompt food and drink politely than a jabbering fake friendly slow person! Sushi is nice- fresh, flavorful, nicely presented. Won't displace Edo Sushi as our go-to, but it's darn close. It is however our Thai go to---and it's nice to start with sushi to mix it up! Curries always flavorful, full of tender meats, crisp veggies, nicely steamed firm rice perfect for chopstick eating. Carry out frequent here- they got nice spicy soups for when you a bit sniffly. Noodle dishes on point, very flavorful and filling. Used to be a little messy on inside- kids hand drawn pictures on walls, little worn down paint and decor. So we didn't go too often - but it's spruced up now!! Freshly painted, no pics on walls-- we'll be back more often. Esp for those tasty Thai curries! Check it out-- you won't be sad!! Best panang curry and spring rolls in the area! Lunch specials are the best in the area and service is usually very fast. Go before noon go beat the lunch crowd, especially on Friday's. I've also tried the sushi, but definitely think the Thai menu is where they excel! read more

I went here with a few co-workers the other day. Literally waited 45 minutes for our food, and nothing arrived. So we had to go up to the hostess/owner and ask about our order. He proceeded to go back to the kitchen to "check on it" and came back to our table to ask if he could take our order again & that it would be ready in 5 minutes. He offered no apologies or discount on our food. Therefore, we just left because you only have a hour lunch break maximum during the work week. Very inconsiderate and poor customer service. I'm sorry there are only 10 tables in the entire restaurant, I think you should be able to tell if someone hasn't be served after 45 minutes. I definitely miss this place. Frequented there a lot when I was living in the area. Sometimes they can be a little too light on the spice, but they will add more if you ask them. The Panang curry has been my go-to for a while, along with their Pad Khing. The Tom Kha soup is mild and delicious. Any of their stir fried rice dishes with brown sauce are yummy as well. Have not had the sushi here, but I can't imagine it not being good. Always get good, prompt service here. They are very no-nonsense in a way, and that sometimes comes off as gruff. But I never really saw it that way, especially when I was a regular for a while. I'll still make a trek to the area for this place. Very worth it! read more

I loved it here. I, all by myself, staying in Hunt Valley for a few days, had a hankering for some drunken noodles. After wanting to come here on a Sunday (they are closed), came by on Monday and ordered the won ton soup, the yum woon sen and the drunken noodles with pork and tofu. The soup had a really rich broth and was so comforting on a cool fall afternoon. The glass noodle salad, I had never had before anywhere else, was really flavorful - though a touch heavy on the red onions, and could have used a bit more heat. The drunken noodles is exactly what I was craving. It came out piping out, loaded with that sweet, spicy, basil flavor. The pork wasn't overcooked like most thai places tend to do. The broccoli was cut to the perfect bite sized pieces. The portions are very reasonable for the price and I definitely ordered too much food - but I can't wait to be hungry again so that I can munch on those leftovers. read more

I came here for some lunch with my boyfriend. We both really enjoyed the food and the wonderful service from the waiting staff. They sat us both down in a timely matter. They also brought out our waters with straws in them which I really appreciate when I go to different restaurants. It's a little detail I notice that shows how attentive the servers are. I ordered the salmon avocado rolls while my boyfriend ordered the "Money Honey Roll". Both of our orders came out fresh and tasted really good! Will definitely be back soon! read more

I was shocked to see this restaurant didn't have five stars! I find the sushi and pad thai to be exceptionally good, and the service to be wonderful. The esoteric collection of decorations is charming and low-key, yet the flavors of the food made this place my go-to date night with my boyfriend. Fuji San is a hidden gem in Cockeysville. Great Thai food & huge portions for a decent price. They have great spring rolls, Pad Thai, and Drunken noodles. Their curry is a hit or miss. We went once during dinner and the curry was excellent. The next time we went back during lunch and the curry was more of a soup consistency and very watery. I will cut them some slack though since we came shortly after they opened. However, minus one star due to the server. The employee who acts as the main server always seems to be in a bad mood. He is impolite and just comes across as bored/rude. The younger host/server is much better, polite, & friendly. If only he remained our server rather than the older gentleman. Not sure why so many negative reviews ... seems to be all about the service though. Funny ... every time I go in there, the family that I believe runs the place seem very friendly and quick to provideprompt, friendly service. Anyway, on to the food. I haven't tried a great deal of things ontheir Thai menu (what I mainly go there for), but the Penang curry is perfect. Unfortunately I love panang so much I rarely order anything else. Penang Goong (shrimp) is best option (for me anyway). Mywife orders the Pad Thai occassionally and it seems fine also. Decided to hop in on weekend after car shopping in Cockeysville and get takeout to go home. Run by super friendly family. I had the Stir Fried Ginger with scallops. Husband had Basil Fried Rice with beef. Surprised at excellent taste of food! Seasoned very nicely, authentic! Not done with a heavy sauce that hides all the flavors of the actual food. Fuji San is a low-key restaurant with decent food. I am a regular here because the Pad Thai is so good. If your stomach can handle it, order the Pad Thai at the highest spice level. I regularly eat Thai food and have been to Thailand, but this is still my favorite place to order Pad Thai. Also, I would highly advise against ordering sushi, stick with the Thai dishes. Keep in mind, the restaurant is simple and has no frills. The younger waiter and waitress are really polite but the service is otherwise not great. It doesn't really matter for me though because I find the food (or the pad thai) so good. All in all, Fuji San is a mediocre restaurant, but it deserves 4 stars because some of the dishes here are really good. If you're looking for good Thai food whether its to dine in or carry out, I would recommend Fuji San. read more

Awful service. Some of the worst i have ever had. We had to seat ourselves at a dirty table. It took 10 minutes for someone to wait on us, which was excessive, but then it got worse. It took a FULL 40 minutes for me to get our food (at lunch!). On top of all of that, they got my order wrong, and the portion was insultingly small. I ordered a garlic chicken lunch portion, and it came with 3 small pieces of chicken. Still starving when I was done. As if that wasn't bad enough, sodas finally came out halfway through the meal, after asking 3 times. They are so understaffed - two people waiting on a full room (about 10 tables). They could not handle it. The food is tasty, but they must fix the service. My friend ordered the pad thai, and his portion was much more appropriate, so that might have been bad luck. Still, all this cost $13 for lunch for 1 person! Ridiculously expensive for what you get. Won't be going back. read more

Always liked the food. Menu is varied enough for me. Prices are good. Decor is simple-- nothing fancy. Staff is very nice and helpful. They make dishes mild when requested. Great for Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) and Pad See Ew. This place is killing it with their noodle dishes. I've never had any of their Japanese items, but I've had about half their curries and a few other thai entrees and they've all been fine to good, but where this place really delivers is the noodles. If you like spicey, go with the Drunken noodles, if not, go with the Pad See Ew. HA ha ha ha, the goofiest review I ever read is from the d...h who complained about the FREE soda that comes with his already discounted lunch special. Just look at that reviewer's picture and you can tell he is a bag. I talked to the very sweet lady who takes our order at the restaurant about that fools can of soda tragedy and she said they literally are taking a complete loss on the can and that cups cost a lot more than you would think so they do charge for a cup with the ALREADY PRICE REDUCED LUNCH SPECIALS! Good God, did you see how long that goofballs review was? You would think the chef walked to his table, pulled down his pants and served the guy a ham sandwich. This place has a great beef salad, awesome coconut lemon soup, (veg is my favorite!) great pad thai (picky wife loves it) and it is a comfortable, quiet, attractive, close by restaurant. Yes the owner was not blessed with the kind of personality that works well as the owner of a restaurant, but he's not nasty, he's just quiet and not overly thankful for your patronage. Usually the young lady is the person who serves you anyway and recently the owner actually did notice my wife and I have started having an infant eat with us at the table and gave us a nice congratulations. My complaint about the place would be that they are not open on Sunday, it seems so nuts to me that any restaurant would sacrifice all the business that could be had on a day when 99% of the world has the day off. One final thing I would like to add is that the prices are cheaper than my other area favorite Green Leaf up the road and the food is just as good (but it is about 1000 decibels quieter.) read more
