Staff was kind and friendly. The restaurant was quiet and nice to dine in. I did see lot of take outs the food was not my favorite but good. We had chicken satay and masman curry and yellow curry. The lady asked spice level I said 3 and she said you sure you do you want a 2. I usually listen so I got the 2 and asked for extra spice on the side. I did what was suggested first day did not seem as spicy but my leftovers were warmer. Worth a try nice people and good food

We stumbled across this restaurant by accident and i'm so glad that we did. It's part of a strip-mall in Buffalo Grove. It's small inside but it is nicely decorated with a nice bar as the focal point and also some cute outdoor seating patio for warm days. They are super friendly family owned restaurant, our server was very helpful and suggested so nice items for us to try. The food was delicious and it was a generous portion for the price. They have Thai food and also sushi which is perfect for us because we can never decide on one thing to eat so you definitely have options. We shared their chicken Pad Thai and a few sushi rolls as well. We will keep going back for cute, intimate sushi dates.

Delicious food!! Best Thai food in the suburbs. First time tried it and loved it. Everything tasted so good. Good service, practicing good Covid guidelines. Strongly recommend it for lunch, dinner, or takeout. I will be back again to try more things from their menu.

I got a chance to come in Chicago I saw this shop There are both Thai food and food. Japan, which I like to eat Japanese food anyway. My husband likes Thai food. We chose this restaurant This restaurant did not disappoint me at all, the food was delicious, everything I ordered, the owner came to take the order by her self. She is Thai. Very friendly. I will definitely come back again. If I have a chance to come to Chicago again

We're been coming here ever since it opened. We love the staff, and LOVE THE FOOOOD! Best shrimp tempura roll I've ever had. They add asparagus which just takes it to the next level. Potstickers are made in house, and have the a sweet and savory flavor. The staff is so kind and knowledgeable. We will keep coming back!

Great food ! This place is our goto for Thai cuisine and we've never been disappointed ever. The crab Rangoon is our all time favorite.

The interior is simple but clean. I like that play Japanese music in the background. The menu is a little bit broader than a typical Ramen place. I think this is probably necessary in the suburbs where people may know less about Ramen and want a more diverse Japanese food experience. We ordered takoyaki and tonkotsu shoyu ramen since I read that this is Hokkaido Ramen place (they are know for creamy tonkotsu broth). Both were good. The takoyaki were decently sized. The Ramen was a tiny bit salty and the noodles were less al dente than I like, but overall very satisfying. Chashu was excellent flavors and cut thicker than typical. No egg in this by default but a lot of bean sprouts. Service was excellent. Riko was the perfect amount of attentive. We were there for a Thursday lunch so I was surprised so a few people were there, but I guess we missed the lunchtime rush, and it was the day before a holiday. I was told that a lot of their clientele are in Japanese and Korean expats working nearby so they are probably on vacation too. I hope the restaurant does well. There is a lot of Japanese competition, including right next-door, but this is the highest rated of all of them!

I love my ramen but have been hard pressed to find a true go-to place in the nearby suburbs. The first thing that stuck my eye on the menu was that they had Hokkaido ramen! Having just been to Hokkaido last summer, we knew we had to order it. While it's hard to compare it to the real deal in Japan, it was a very solid bowl of ramen and was truly reminiscent of the region's ramen scene. We also ordered their spicy tonkatsu ramen, a side of tempura, and a matcha latte. The tempura was solid and had the light airiness you'd expect. The spicy ramen was delicious and had the legit springy ramen noodles. The matcha latte tasted of real matcha and was perfectly sweetened! It was overall a great experience and we will definitely be back!

First time at a Rotary Sushi spot and I had an absolute blast! I visited for Valentine's Day dinner…read morebut had no issue getting a table for two at 5pm. They unfortunately don't do reservations for a group as small as 2 people; but for a bigger group, call ahead. The inside had an elegant aesthetic with four rotary lines all connected to the back kitchen area. One is sat at a table with an ipad to view the menu, ingredients in each item, and lists out beverages you can order. The table comes with chopsticks and soy sauce but one can call the attendant for utensils, water, or your check. It's $3.69 for every plate grabbed from the rotary. Once you finish the plate, you discard it into the table slot. The ipad tracks your plate count and for every 10 finished, you get a gachapon toy from the machine above the central rotary track. If you like wasabi or ginger, no worries as these are constantly in rotation to grab. Our favorites of the evening were the vegetable rolls, crab rangoon, tempura sweet potato roll, and the different nigiri's (umami beef, spicy kani, seared scallop, etc). If you don't see a roll on the rotary you wanted, check the ipad as you may be able to order for no upcharge. The nice robot on the top track will bring your dish right out to the table! If you're looking for a fun way to try new sushi rolls or give kids an interactive sushi experience, this is the spot to go! Tip: They have a punch card for every $25 spent. Once you hit 10 punches, you can spin the wheel for a discount. Pro Tip: While we got there early to avoid a wait, the more crowded the restaurant got... the better the rotary selections we saw.

It's definitely larger space than other rotary sushi places so I appreciated that it had the space. We were seated quite quickly, and given a tablet for ordering if we had desired food other than what was rotating around. I appreciated that they put the pickled ginger and wasabi (individually packaged) on the conveyor, as I think other restaurants have it on the table (which to me is always sus...little kids). We always have a garden for yellow tail rolls bc we like the texture and green onions. We thought on the tablet that it didn't have any onions, so we didn't order that, but luckily it appeared on the conveyor. We noticed that ramen was a special on Wednesdays, so we ordered a few for our table. Thought it took too long to come out. They must have forgotten it, as the char SIU pieces looked over toasted under a broiler - we had the server take notice and they remade the pork pieces for us. The pork was delicious, and glad they were able to rework the food. Rotary sushi is always fun for my kids as they eye the possibilities and then enjoy the fun with the robot tray that delivered our meal. I'll keep Blackfish in mind next time I want to do rotary sushi. The daily specials are pretty decent on value.

The host and staff were super welcoming despite being a little frazzled as it seemed to get busy all at one time. There is limited seating where the boats are. It was surprisingly sweet and crunchy. There was a side dish of a sweet chilli fried shrimp that wasn't on the menu but was quite tasty! Across the parking lot is Taste of Tokyo and that's how we ended there. Never having dined at Taste of Tokyo, I didn't know it was a kaiten-zushi -- conveyor belt sushi but with boats --restaurant, that was a nice surprise. It was pretty full around the sushi bar and we waited for about 10 minutes to get seated. I really enjoy the convenience of plucking off plates and eating what you want. They had a lot of variety, from sashimi to potstickers to special rolls to taiyaki. I did ask for Saba (mackerel), and they gave me three nigiri (they said one was on the house) -- it was fantastic. This seemed like a fave place among the locals who addressed the sushi chefs by name. I appreciated that there were many different offerings. One such was raw sashimi grade scallops -- I wasn't that adventurous. Nearer the end they had torched salmon which was so buttery and melt in the month. I would have had more but we were getting full. They tallied up our plates -- 13 of them -- and we paid the bill. Very enjoyable, a little out of our way although I'd be happy to come again. I really enjoyed the novelty of the sushi boats.

There's also discrepancy in their menu and what they actually have available as it seems they also display items for the the cafe next door. We happened to arrive during happy hour so some menu items were discounted. They also have a complimentary salad bar. We ordered chicken karaage, potstickers, salmon avocado sushi, and I had the katsu sandwich. All the food items we ordered came separately over a span of 20+ minutes, with the sandwich arriving last and cold. Not only did the sandwich come on a cold sourdough bread, the meat also had an unusual texture and so I ended up throwing it out. The other items we ordered were lacking in flavor. The chicken karaage was prepared well but it had no flavor. I'm regret spending money at this establishment.

So we got out of the car and saw someone pull up in front of the restaurant and jump out at 11:59. As soon as the door was unlocked at 12pm, this customer went in, and a few others after them. This is a small joint, and it was already half full by the time we ordered, then sat down (they told us the table at which to sit). I didn't know, but asked, and found out that a salad bar and miso soup are also included. The salad bar was pretty decent, with fresh vegs. They even had French fried onions (my guilty pleasure) and a very good House dressing (ginger vinaigrette). The portions are enormous. The couple next to us got ramen, and it was practically overflowing. We ordered takoyaki (too much food, we didn't need). I had the Pork Katsu bowl and my companion had a Katsu curry. I wished I had ordered the curry -- it looked dark and rich and thick like pudding (not like a boxed curry). They also gave us a bonus piece of chicken karaage which was so large and crispy. I think I'll get the curry next time, or the ramen. We originally came because we were going to get a karaage sando, but get the curry.

And so it goes.. Parking in this small strip mall is usually pretty easy. It is a popular choice for lunch for many people that work in this business area of Elk Grove. I think that is because in addition to the good food, the service is not only friendly, but also very efficient. That allows you to have a nice sit-down lunch and still get back to work in time. They don't rush you, but you won't have to wait long for both the food and the check. Today I did have my delicious bento box, which as others have agreed, is a great deal for lunch. But I also splurged for a "Rock' n Rol" sushi roll, which was quite tasty. My waitress was wonderful - friendly and efficient as usual. But she didn't rush me personally. If you're looking for the most authentic Japanese food outside the city, seems like this and a couple other places are all in the Schaumburg/Elk Grove Village area. Highly recommend hitting their lunch menu if you can because the bento box values are so worth it for authentic Japanese food/sushi. We got there at opening for dinner on a Saturday and got there just before dinner rush! This place is such a hidden authentic gem - you can tell from the decor to the choice of seating design to the actual menu and way they cook the RICE and other dishes. They serve the same grain for sushi as they do regular rice (Tamaki gold). Quality is not skipped here. We got the agedashi tofu (must get appetizer, as it's hard to really every achieve at home cooking), house special curry katsu, the beef kurumaya gozen (bento box) (which has incredible tempura, juicy soft beef), and assorted sashimi platter (I forget the name). All come highly recommended and were well worth the price point. I am just a bit sensitive about the freshness of the sushi, but I think this is probably as fresh as you can possibly get with generous cuts outside the city. Everything down to the miso soup too was delicious - best place to take your friends/family/coworkers for an authentic Japanese meal. Parking lot available out front. Recommend also stopping by Tensuke market nearby after!
