I saw them making/pulling the noodles fresh inside the restaurant so I was really glad I tried the noodles. The Kung Pao Chicken was really not spicy at all, but it was flavorful and came with quite a few veggies so I was happy with that. The Mongolian Beef only came with two pieces of broccoli and the fried rice we added on came in a pretty small container, so we were less happy with that. I ordered pad thai and it is one of the worst things I've ever eaten. Even if I forget it is supposed to be pad thai and try to appreciate it for the overly sweet sticky mess it was it is horrible. I threw the entire thing away. The dan dan had a tasty broth but it wasn't redeeming enough for me to ever go there again. For dan dan go to Dumpling Tea and for pad thai go, well anywhere else. read more

We've eaten here many times and enjoyed it, but today was bizarre. They served us fried rice with absolutely no soy sauce or other seasoning, just the ingredients in oil. We complained and they said this is just how they make it now. They wouldn't remake it and didn't offer a refund. I have a hard time believing the rice was supposed to be this way, but we took it home and tried it. Utterly bland, we had to add our own soy sauce and even then it was pretty bad. I'm not sure if we just ordered wrong but the vegetable noodle soup and chicken noodle soup were not impressive. Noodles were handmade but not flavorful. I also requested they put the veggies on the side for my daughter and they said it's not possible. When I asked for just noodles and chicken with a modified price they could not accommodate. So we paid full price for the chicken noodle bowl but had to order it without vegetables. Seemed like a silly rule. Veggie pad Thai and vegetable noodles tasted much better. I'd give them a 6-7/10. Small little place in shopping strip with glass area where they make the noodles. Hand pulled noodles while you watch. Fast service, food arrived quickly and as they make it, it was brought out. We had scallion pancakes, Steamed dumplings, Pork Bao, Chicken fun ramen, fried rice and Szechuan shrimp with pan fried noodles. Everything was tasty and portions are plentiful. Dan Dan Noodles!! Their noodles are freshly made on premise. Love that you can see the noodle chef at work through the window into the kitchen. Definitely stick with noodles here. They do it right. Dan Dan noodles here are almost a hybrid with ramen (delicious broth). We also had orange chicken, which was wayyyy too sweet. Steer clear. Service was friendly and fast. Parking was easy. Wow! Great little strip mall joint in Santa Fe is serving up some righteous pan-Asian specialties! Dim Sum, Bao, Pad Thai, Ramen and all the other staples. Food was beautifully prepared and the flavors were superb! There is a giant four or five panel window that allows you to watch the noodle-making (by hand, the authentic way). We had a free Sunday afternoon for the first time in a while and drove up the Turquoise Trail to Santa Fe for dinner. There are so many fantastic restaurant choices that it's always hard to decide what to eat! My husband decided he wanted something Asian, and a Yelp search led us to Fun Noodle Bar. I've driven past the Albuquerque location many times but hadn't eaten there yet, so I really wanted to try their food. We were seated promptly in a comfortable booth. I ended up switching seats to my husband's side of the booth so I could watch the chefs cook. It was fascinating watching the hand-pulled noodles that would soon be part of our dinner take shape. We both ordered the hand-pulled noodles, shrimp for me and beef for my husband. They were wonderful - cooked perfectly with fresh, tender, plump shrimp and tender-crisp vegetables. There was just a bit too much sautéed onion for my taste, but I just pushed those to the side. My husband was very happy with his beef noodles as well. We were full enough that we didn't try dessert, but they sounded pretty yummy. If you're planning a stop at Trader Joe's, Fun Noodle Bar is in the same shopping center, just a few doors down. We've had difficulty finding good Chinese food in Santa Fe, but Fun Noodle Bar is a great place to eat. read more

It's open! I checked out their grand opening today during lunch hour & was impressed. Online order system worked well, my food was ready when I showed up, and they have a whole vegetarian friendly section to their menu--more things for me to try. The noodles were so chewy and fresh tasting, an antidote to cooking dried noodles at home during the pandemic. I only wish that the sauce had been a little bit spicier. As a resident of New York City visiting Santa Fe for a wedding, I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best ramen I have ever had in my life. The Fried Cheese Wontons were the perfect, crisp, sweet and savory appetizer to the Chicken Fun Ramen. The ramen arrived incredibly quickly - less than ten minutes certainly - and the portion size was beyond expectations for the price. The delightfully springy hand-pulled noodles soak up the savory broth, and the chicken chashu is some of the most tender I've had in recent memory. Every ingredient - spinach, cilantro, broccoli, corn - has its place and is perfectly balanced to form an incredible bowl. I chose to add an egg (you get half an egg for $1), which was hard boiled to perfection and a great accompaniment. A few months ago, I took a trip to Ichiran in NYC - it was certainly good, but I will not be returning to Ichiran after my experience at Fun Noodle Bar. This is a bowl I would pay $25+ for at home, available for almost half the price. This is, without a doubt, a bowl of ramen I will be dreaming about for the rest of my life. My friends are going to be delighted that I'll be visiting more often - but Fun Noodle Bar will be a required stop every trip. Truly unforgettable. read more
