And when my friends go to the sauce table, she finds out cockroach there!!!!! and it just ruined our experience there at the first beginning. I am from Sichuan and this might be the most authentic flavor I could find in Manhattan. The location is convenient, good for hanging out after work. Food is fresh and serves fast. I would recommend non-Sichuan people this place if they want to experience the ambience. read more

So we noticed this place because of it's amazing atmosphere. it was super cute wallpapers, nice tables, good music, etc. It seemed really great but we were very confused about the menus and the employees didn't really help us figure it out, I assume they didn't speak English very well because they didn't seem to get what I was asking. We ended up getting the BBQ buffet which is not what I originally wanted and mango smoothies. the smoothies were literally frozen canned mango in a mason jar, and the BBQ tasted like they threw the same generic flavoring on everything. The shrimp was flavorless. We managed to get the price down at the end because my boyfriend didn't even eat anything and I left feeling kind of nauseous. The only downside for this restaurant is the fact that most of the waiters can't speak English, so my friends and I were having difficulties when we were asking details about the menu. Over priced and mediocre food. We live and work around Chinatown area and so excited to hear about this grand opening. My friend who tried it two weeks after this grand opening and already warned me this restaurant is so so. I thought it maybe personal reference and decided to give it a try myself. Big disappointment. We ordered all non spiced bbq dishes, they wrote non spicy on their receipt as well. However, all bbq dishes came out to be spicy. They took it back to the kitchen and the waitress came back and said "we rebrushed it, it should be good now". It tastes worst than the spicy version. Veggie pancake is about 7" and 1mm thick for $10, tastes worst than the instant pancake package we bought from Korea market. We ordered lemon and grape food honey drinks, both jar handles are Covered with honey and got our hands very sticky. The beef noodle soup tastes so blan and noodle is over cooked. The ice rice is sweet and feel like they just mix the sugar, left over rice, and ice together. Not getting used to this style of cold dishes. When we asked for the bill, they gave us 20% off, we thought it was due to the spicy mistake they did on our bbq dishes. We later found out they made a mistake and took back the 20% discount. Also, 20% tips is already included in the bill since we have 7 people. Not a good experience for a first try. Will not return. read more

Just had the grilled skewers (not hot pot). Sort of a fun interior with good music playing overhead and a couple of TV screens showing Chinese music videos (not what was playing overhead) and a game show. Skewers are good and come fully cooked and spiced (as opposed to some places where you season and grill your own). It was hard to gauge how much to order since we had no idea how large/small some items were. Photos would be helpful. We were informed that spice level was done 'per table' which makes it difficult if order properly if you like different heat levels. FWIW, we compromised at 'medium' and it was pretty spicy (making me happy but left my girlfriend's mouth on fire). Meats and other proteins were all tasty as was the corn of the cob (whole cob) and potatoes (3 slices of potato @ 1/4 inch thick). We also ordered wings in coke sauce as an appetizer...not bad. Service is OK when staff isn't looking at their phones. All in all it's a good place to sit down away from the hustle and bustle that is everywhere in Chinatown, but probably not the most exciting meal you could have. read more

My girlfriend and I passed this place around midnight on our way to NY Noodletown (which is really good) and decided to take a chance. Great skewers of chicken and vegetables, and fantastic fried rice. The servers were great, making sure we knew about their sauce bar and free oranges and chicken feet. A friend and I went here on a whim, the menu looked appealing so we tried it. We ordered about 5 or 6 skewers and a seafood pancake. The waitress asked us how'd we like the skewers prepared..."mild, medium or spicy" I always choose spicy everywhere I go. We got the skewers and the spiciness was good but they overwhelming salty. We tried to power thru but didn't get much further. We flagged the waitress and explained the situation. Immediately the waitress said "we've never had anyone else complain about it...it must be too spicy for you" Insisted that it wasn't the spiciness it was just too salty. She offered to remake. 5 min later she came back with the same skewers just no spice, but now there was water on the plate. We came to the conclusion that they had rinsed the spice off the skewers and brought them right back to us..needless to say I probably won't go back, if I did it only be for the seafood pancake with was really good. read more

After declining to wait for a table at Little Sheep, our party jetted across the street to this place. The Pokemon decor definitely caught my eye. It seemed fun and different. Once inside, the 5 of us were seated. That's when the frustration set in. We decided to order both hot pot and Bbq items by checking off items on paper. I was under the impression that we could cook hot pot on one side and grill on the other. Nope...the bbq items came cooked already. That's not fun at all. Plus, how were we supposed to split 2 beef balls amongst 5 people? We ordered fish fillets for hot pot. Why were there tiny bones?! So many things were not working out that we hurriedly gobbled down the remaining stuff and asked for the check after just half an hour. We weren't even full and we had to pay 90 bucks for these appetizers? The food didn't justify that price. Nothing funny about this place. We quickly restaurant-hopped next door to 100 Bowery for a 6 course meal that cost $76. Funny Bbq....I don't choose you! read more
