Absolutely delicious and the customer service was fantastic. The woman who helped me was beyond kind. I got one chocolate cupcake with cookies and cream frosting which was amazing. SO much love for Cupcake Market. The different cake/frosting combinations are perfect for whatever you're in the mood for and the frosting is some of the best I've had! Best cupcakes in the city!! And I have a huge sweet tooth and have eaten a LOT of cupcakes around Manhattan. I love that there are so many frosting/cupcake combinations and that everything looks delicious. This time I got the chocolate cupcake with cookies and crème frosting, which was super yummy. The frosting was very flavorful, but not too rich. The cupcake was the right amount of moistness, but not too much like a soaked sponge. I'm dying to come back and try all the other cupcakes and their giant cookies. The larger cupcakes are $4.75,which can seem pricey, but is totally worth it because the cupcakes are pretty big. This place is definitely a hidden gem and I'm so glad I discovered it! read more

The service was great. The mother daughter team that worked there were very friendly and helpful. The reason for the two stars is that the red velvet cupcake was dry, and not very much flavor. The frosty was bland too. Next time I will try the vanilla which I hear are fantastic. read more

Placed a custom cookie shipping order with this company on the 11th asking for it to be delivered by Dec 26th or 27th and no later than that. I was told I could pay $25 and it would get me 2 day shipping so the cookies would arrive at the time I requested. The lady I spoke to said they would be shipped out on the 21st or 24th so they would come on time and I would receive a tracking number. On the 22nd, I called to check on the status of my order and the lady was clueless when I gave her my name so I had to explain exactly what I ordered and when I wanted it again before she could tell me they were iced and are drying. She also said she could email me pictures (they had my email from initial inquiry.) I asked would they be sent out on the 24th so I would receive them on time and was confirmed yes, that would be the case. Today is the 26th, I never received pictures so I called and asked if my order was sent and where was the tracking number. The lady I spoke to said she wasn't there on the 24th so she doesn't know if it was sent and said they just send them out they don't contact customers. Another lady intervened who said they were shipped out on the 24th. I asked if I could get the shipping number then and the lady said they don't have it and they don't know how they would get it. At this point, the lady in the background took the phone and said they could call back in less than 30 minutes with an estimated delivery time and shipping number. Fifteen minutes later, I got a call being told that my cookies will arrive on December 31st because they were shipped as ground shipping. I explained that's not when I asked for them to be delivered and that I was under the impression that the shipping I paid for was to get them as 2 day shipping and arriving on the 26th or 27th. The lady said well there's no way for them to check what I paid for for shipping because they most likely don't have my order information anymore. No compensation was given for any of the misinformation I received. I asked to speak to a manager or owner and was told she probably won't be in until tomorrow. Hopefully, I will receive a call but as of now I am not happy with the service I received. read more

We saw the yelp reviews and looked at the pictures and really got excited to try the cupcakes and cookies, everything looked so homemade. The best part is when we came and ate the food, it definitely was better than I expected. Everything tasted homemade and made with love. I never imagined 7th street could smell like heaven until Cupcake Market opened. Once I had the banana cupcake with strawberry icing, it became impossible to walk by without going in, especially with the cafe/gift shop looking so beautiful and inviting. Sarah, the owner is such an amazing artist and a truly wonderful person. If you are passing through the East Village in the morning, do not miss her life-changing cinnamon rolls!! read more

A lovely stop for an incredible cupcake and coffee. After agonizing over which cupcake to try, I selected the baked coconut. The whipped icing was sweet without being too sugary and the cupcake was moist but firm and filled with baked coconut. A splendid accompaniment to a cappuccino. The staff is incredibly friendly and the small shop next door is beautifully appointed with new and vintage tea pots and cups. read more

We stumbled on this little gem by accident when the line outside of Van Leeuwen was too long, and we had a craving for something sweet. My husband and I each had a cupcake (one red velvet, and one peanut butter). They were incredible, so fluffy, and fulfilling. We also had the banana pudding at the recommendation of the staff, and it blew us away! I don't think I have ever tasted something so amazing in my life. We met the owner's daughter, and a nice young gentleman who were so welcoming. Can't wait to go back. Jump the line at the other places. This place is definitely worth the trip. read more
