We needed to replace a 24 year-old heating and air-conditioning system, Galaxy came up as number one of our first choice. We made an appointment, A gentleman came out, he emailed us a quote, a day or two later. When we had more questions, Galaxy sent out another gentleman to go over additional questions and we settled on the same, trane/American standard system . Within a week the full system was scheduled for install. The young men who installed the system were very respectful of the property very respectful of my father since his house is immaculate. You would've never known they were even there they cleaned up so well. They completed all the work in one day, which was shocking they went above and beyond and replaced a water nozzle that had been leaking under his house for who knows how long. They were also able to squeeze us into their busy schedule so we could get AC before the heat wave! During installation, they ran into several challenges with placement of the new unit and some wiring that needed more attention. They worked through and around them to make everything work out in the end. I really appreciate their flexibility and expertise to navigate all the roadblocks without changing the scope of work. TIP: Measure the space where the unit is going to be placed and make sure the new unit will fit OR that you discuss this before the project starts.

He said the problem was the starter and said he could fix it for $460. While he was fixing it, I looked up the price of the part. It was $25. He was here for only 15 minutes. After the repairs, I asked him how much of the $460 was for parts and how much was for labor. He said about 50% for each. I then let him know that I found the part for $25. He responded that he doesn't buy the parts himself. So I paid $25 for parts and $435 for 15 minutes of work. Yes, I wish I had gone with another company.

He showed me that the capacitor was testing low, the contactor was worn and pitted, and even performed a megger test on the compressor to verify it was still healthy. After the repairs, he confirmed everything was working properly by showing me the compressor amperage had dropped back to normal and that the system had an 18-degree temperature split. Keon was patient with all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. He explained the pros and cons of the recommended repairs, including the hard-start kit, so I could make an informed decision instead of feeling pressured. I really appreciated his transparency and professionalism. By the time he was done, our AC was cooling properly again, and he even worked with us on the final price. We evaluated around 6-7 companies, and off the recommendation of a neighbor we had Letts come out. I was a bit hesitant because you are charged for a minimum of an hour, there is no free estimate. However, in that time he shored up a leak with a temporary patch and had an estimate of how much work it would be to take care of everything, which ended up being much more reasonable than some other places we evaluated. Adam came back when he had enough open schedule to fix everything and some parts were shipped in. An incredibly nice guy, and just an incredibly fair and integrity oriented operation. All the vendors I evaluated were five stars with many reviews, but Letts was the only one that didn't feel like I was being upsold and he was just out there to help me solve my problems. Honestly can't wait to hire them again, which is an absurd thing to say about a plumber, but man what a great experience. I will rave about them to anyone who will listen.

We made a request for quote on a Thursday for a faulty oven that wasn't heating up (a terrifying prospect as we approach the holidays), and Fuse promptly replied to our inquiry with some times they could come by. Ultimately they came the next day well within the appointment window and secured the required parts before the end of the day, enabling them to fix the oven the same day. I don't understand why my review was removed- Fuse came to look at my dishwasher and told me two boards had to be replaced at over $600. The tech took a $250 and never returned to do the repair despite multiple calls. We got another company to come in they said it was the auction box on the cord. We paid $75 for the service call and replaced it ourselves at the tech's suggestion. Cost: $45 read more

Our fridge stopped working- just wasn't cold anymore but the freezer still worked. Greg came, took it apart and found an ice blockage (likely from when the power went out at some point) and was able to clear it and get it all working again. When our heating system broke down over the holidays, they still were able to have a guy come out on Dec 26 (despite being closed) to identify the issue and order us a replacement part. He told us what needed to be done to prevent it from happening again -- essentially the crazy winds knocked the cover off a unit off roof loose and water got in. Jimmy Reyes arrived at 8am Friday morning to take a look and told us they could fix the furnace, but since it was old there was a possibility something else would fail in the future. We had installed the furnace and A/C condenser together in 2002 and decided the best course of action would be to replace both. Jimmy told us that the A/C unit would require a permit and that might slow down installation, and provided a competitive estimate. Fortunately, we were leaving for a week's vacation the following day but Reyes dropped off some space heaters to keep us warm in the meantime. A week later, Reyes arrived promptly at 8am to install the new furnace and A/C (having secured the permit). The team introduced themselves (so polite!) and placed tarps, etc. to protect our flooring. They worked diligently and completed the entire job in 2 days! Not only that, but they removed the registers and sealed all the ducts to maximize the heating and cooling. We could not be happier. The new furnace and A/C are super energy efficient, quiet and effective. Reyes Heating and Air set the standard for excellence and customer service.

My experience with Bellows has been an interesting one. TLDR; highly recommended and check out the Quilt system! - - - I had originally scheduled an estimator to come out an give a price on replacing a whole house gas furnace with a heat pump system but was also considering a multi-head mini-split system. The technician who came out was knowledgable and introduced me to the Quilt system. He was not pushy at all, simply said that it was a new system that showed a lot of promise. After reading a bit more about it, I was sold! The promise of efficiency was intriguing and the usability and aesthetics sealed the deal. It took about a month to really get things going, but once they started, the installation team was great! Very professional, efficient and tidy. On the third day of installation, I had inquired about the condenser unit location. It was placed in a prominent and highly visible location at the front of the house and I thought there was a good alternate location - moving it back about 5' and rotating it 90 degrees. I definitely missed the window of time when this should have been asked, and to move it would require some additional work. The initial response was not empathetic or customer satisfaction- minded, the quote for the change order was prohibitively high and I ended the phone call feeling very frustrated. Within minutes, one of the owners, was on the phone. Chelsea put on a MASTERCLASS in conflict resolution. She made a personal connection, approached the situation with humility and grace, quickly establishing empathy in both directions. Chelsea found a delicate balance between defending her business and wanting to help find a solution by sharing more detailed information about the systems and installation process, and asking questions about why I wanted to change the location. Like most customer-service facing professionals, she articulated that she wanted me to be happy with the product and service and that the company would make it right. But unlike the majority of those people, it did not come across as condescending - she was genuine, willing to explore options, and ultimately took the time to gather more information and see what options were actually available. The installation manager, Del, came out the next morning, worked with the installers to find an efficient solution to move the unit, and the system was completed within the original schedule. The two-man installation team ended up working a little later, and even on a Friday afternoon before a long weekend, showed professionalism and patience in testing the system, cleaning up, and making sure all of my questions were answered before calling the job complete. The 1-Star Review reflects my assessment of an unbending schedule of fees charged by Bellows for its services. 1) The Fixed Schedule of Fees for Services is extremely expensive. How expensive?? Well, a few years ago, Bellows came out to our home to install a replacement part in the wall plate of a Toto wall-hung toilet. We provided the plumber with the correct replacement part. The actual repair required perhaps 10--15 minutes. The fee: $547 (including a service call fee of $149 plus $398 for the repair). In 2026, it surely costs more. The current service call fee is $189. At the time, Bellows HVAC was installing a ductless mini-split unit in our home, so I off-handedly requested this plumbing repair without determining the costs upfront. And indeed, I am responsible for my ignorance about plumbing charges; I should have known this minor toilet repair could cost as much as $547. That's on me. After much haggling, the fee was reduced to $400 - presumably because of the coexisting, and far more expensive HVAC installation. Still, wouldn't you have thought that a plumbing company might feel discomforted to ask for $547 for a trivial toilet repair? I learned a hard lesson about fees for plumbing services. 2) We once had an annual maintenance contract with Bellows for a reasonable fee of $300. Then Bellows informed us that only one of our three ductless A/C units was covered by the contract. Mind you, the units were actually installed by Bellows (cost: $15,500), with an average annual use of about 7 days. Did not matter. The new contract cost was $418. We should have read the small print on the contract. We paid the annual fee as there appeared to be no other option. However, I informed Bellows that I regarded the new fees as both excessive and unreasonable - and a genuine discourtesy to a long-time customer. Despite the complaint, Bellows somehow concluded that, given our previous use of their maintenance services, we had signed on for an annual subscription. And a few weeks ago, I discovered that Bellows had previously charged my credit card - unbeknownst to me - for a (now) more costly fee of $516 for a recurring maintenance contract. In effect, Bellows charged my credit card without any notification in advance or afterward. (This practice is expressly forbidden in California.) After two telephone calls to Bellows and a complaint to the BBB, (over a span of 14 days), the fee was finally removed. Bellows seemingly believes that with a refund of the unjustifiable fees, the company is absolved of any further accountability. In effect, 'We refunded the $516 charge, what more do you want?' Well, as always, Caveat Emptor! Get price quotes in advance, and be vigilant about recurring subscriptions. Do not expect a company like Bellows to accept responsibility for their contribution to any dispute, or to apologize for any inconvenience and distress experienced by the customer.

However, it was clear he was being directed by management to push additional services, which made the experience uncomfortable. Its 2026, customers are informed and can see through high-pressure sales techniques. It's off-putting and makes me hesitant to call again. I'm giving 4 stars solely because of Chris's excellent service -- the sales approach alone would have cost you far more. Drop the pressure tactics, and you'd easily earn 5 stars.

After taking forever to get on the GE repair schedule, the repairman came, took the entire dishwasher out (scratching the cabinetry around it), installed a new part, said it was running, and left... An hour later I started a load and water came gushing out all over the floor. Couldn't get back on the GE schedule for another 3 days and found Tomans in desperation. Mansur arrived first thing the next morning, easily discovered that the GE "expert" installed the part backwards. He fixed it (turns out, you don't need to pull the entire dishwasher out to replace the part...thanks again, GE), tested it, and also gave us guidance on some other pipes that weren't installed correctly by our contractor. Efficient, calm, and knowledgable. Wouldn't waste my time with anyone else again - straight to Mansur!

Mikhail at MC Appliance Repair replied the quickest and was able to come out the next day! After spending an over an hour trying to determine the issue with our dishwasher, he suspected that it might be an issue with the pump. He orders the pump, comes back in 3 days with the new pump, installs it and then determines that the issue was not the pump at all but was due to a leak from our main faucet that was causing the sensor on the dishwasher to think that it was leaking! After all of that, including the 2 visits, he wasn't going to charge us anything!!! I gave him some money because he deserved something for his time! But I couldn't believe that he wasn't going to charge my anything! In this day and age when everyone is trying to nickel and dime you to death and/or overcharge you for simply coming out to check on a problem, I found Mikhail to be a breath of fresh air! I subsequently hired him to fix a separate issue with our ice maker. And he of course fixed that quickly and at a reasonable rate! Would highly recommend!

You'll learn a few things in this review:…read more #1 - Never use the "self cleaning" feature on your oven. #2 - If you already did, and the excessive heat has blown out some small part hidden behind your oven, don't just assume you need a whole new oven. Everything is disposable these days but it's not yet time to replace your oven. #3 - Call Mikhail, owner of MC Appliance Repair. He can diagnose and fix your oven (and probably any other large appliance that isn't operating as it should). I have a double oven so one non-working oven wasn't a deal-breaker but I missed broiling salmon while roasting brussels sprouts. I priced double ovens and learned not only are they expensive, but there's so many different sizes that replacing what I've got likely also requires some costly carpentry work. It was easy to book an appointment with Mikhail. He arrived on time and readily diagnosed the problem. He stated a repair cost and said he could return as soon as he had the part (which was ordered that day). A couple days later he was back and my oven - both halves - are now working. And, he seconded the notion that one should never use the "self-cleaning" feature of an oven. MC Appliance Repair was neither cheap nor expensive but rather, far less than the cost of replacing my entire double oven. The cost of the visit is rolled into the overall estimate so, unless you fail to move forward with a repair, you're not being charged any additional amount. MC Appliance Repair operates in my neighborhood. The owner is smart, knowledgeable, timely, and gets things back to working as intended. Just knowing about Mikhail leave me feeling like my appliances - all of them - have a much longer shelf life than I'd otherwise assumed.
