After speaking with the kind representative I scheduled an appointment. The sales appointment was confirmed and the entire process was explained without gimmicks and pressure. Mitch took his time with us and answered all our questions and even followed up with us. The Elk Grove office was always courteous and helped us with our contracting and follow up questions. The engineering appointment was done the next day and the staff explained the installation process and what was going to happen. After the permit was issued by West Sacramento, took a week, the engineering chief called and scheduled the install. The crew took 4 1/12 hours to install the solar unit and was super in explaining what they were doing and answered all our questions. They we're very professional and when they left you would not have known they we're here. They were very attentive to clean-up as they were the job. This is a first class company installing American Made SolarWorld panels. It is a little more expensive and well worth it, supporting American jobs. Who wants to buy inferior panels made overseas? I put off solar panels for a long time because I felt they were too expensive but after I learned more about the LG Neon solar panels from my sister and brother-in-law, I was again interested in solar panels. After the very informative meeting with Mike Wright on March 18, I was totally satisfied and signed the contract on that visit to go with Future Energy Savers. From start to finish, I felt all the people involved with my contract were very courteous, knowledgeable, thorough, and helpful. At the time of installation (June 3), the technicians were on time, efficient, and cleaned up well. The system went online the same day of installation. I am also very pleased with the on-line system monitoring and the lower utility bills. In spite of the delay on the installation because of the Shelter-in-Place order brought on by the Coronavirus pandemic, every phase of the project was completed in a timely manner and as smoothly as expected - including the Hayward Inspection Department and PG&E for the Permission to Operate. My wife and I have been thinking about going solar for a number of years. until recently, electric rates in our area were low enough to make solar uneconomical. We got more serious about installing solar panels a couple years ago. One company told us all of the government tax rebates were gone and we would be purchasing the system from them. After reading the contract, I saw that after our final payment, 20 years later, we could then settle on a purchase price. Needless to say we didn't go with them When we talked to the Future Energy Savers Rep, he told us many things we didn't know about solar energy production. He was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about his product. He wasn't pushy or hard sell. He showed us a few systems and options to choose from. We decided to purchase that night. A few days later, a system engineer came to the house to design our system. There were a couple delays between purchasing and operation, none of which were the fault of Future Energy Savers. before installation of the system, our electric supplier had to approve the plan, that took about five weeks, the actual installation took four hours, then there was another three week delay waiting for our power company to inspect the system. Once the system was put in service, it was great. It was producing almost as much power as we were using. Here is where a couple small problems occurred. After the two delays mentioned above, the system was put into service in October. First problem, the days were getting shorter...less sunlight equals less power produced. Next problem, November came and so did the rain (for sure we need the rain) but along with the rain came shorter days and cloudy overcast skies. I knew less sun equals less production, but on some days it equaled almost no production. So along with paying for the system, I am using more power than i expected. Then came my final inspection from Future Energy Savers. I was given more information about my system and signed off on the installation. I told him my concerns about the lack of production and was told the system was sized to produce a fixed amount of power over a year. Some months will be lower some higher. Since billing from our power company is now a roll once a year bill, it should all balance out. Also if the system does not produce what it is supposed to, Future Energy Savers will install enough panels to meet the guarantee. This is the reason for four stars instead of five. Since we have been looking for solar for a while I had expectations for sales -- he met those expectations and the installation was done on time and when it was suppose to be done. No problems and producing as it is suppose to. The online monitoring is great and we can see just how well it works. I have to agree with David T. My experience with Future Energy Savers has been excellent. We were approached by the door to door sales; however, they were not pushy at all like others have described (I've shut many doors and left plenty of car lots for pushy sales). The sales person (Mitch Guidry) not only kept his appointment time, but also called in advance to let us know he was in route. Mitch showed up with the typical binder full of information but more importantly answered all of the questions we had without skipping a beat. We were provided with various system output options, went over all of the pros and cons of each, and offered up various financing options. We ended up going with a 3kw system and again the service was as high as one could possibly expect. All approvals for the work were secured in advance (I didn't have to do a thing), the installation was on time and the quality of work was flawless. After install, I realized I had not setup an account for monitoring the effectiveness of the system. I emailed Mitch and got a reply immediately, was put in touch with someone who could help me, and was up and running in no time. The estimates provided during consultation were very conservative and our production has exceeded our expectation. If I had to do it all over, I would absolutely do business with Future Energy Savers. For those who might be skeptical, I urge you to do your homework. This company has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and I could not be happier with our decision to go solar! read more

I was introduced to future via door to door salesman and I ask him to schedule an appointment. Rep was freiendly, professional and knowledgable. He showed me how much money I can save if I purchased a future solar system. After the agreement, future sent out installers and new panels were installed on the roof. Installation went smoothly. Only hitch up was signing the papers but not connecting to P G & E. I recommend future because of their product but definitely need improvement on communication. Our over our experience with Future Energy Savers was a little slower then we expected. Once we signed the paperwork the installation was done within a week or two. However, after that it took over a month to get us on line with PG&E. Not sure if was PG&E's fault or Future Energy Savers? Ones we finally got our inspection it took another two months to finally get on line to finally start monitoring the system with our phone app. To tell you the truth I have no idea what I'm looking at. Installation was done on 11/10/2022, Final inspection on 12/05/2022. Sense then we were trying to get online contacted Generac but was told we were not registered. Finally got online at end of February after several phone calls to Future Savers. Over all Future Energy Savers has been OK with their service. I do love the fact they included an EV charger in our plan as part of the package. However, we have recommended them to others despite the slow service. read more

We've contacted the salesman and manger, turned in SMUD statements and no explanation as to why my re-up is so high other than I was sold a smaller unit than what was needed. I met this company at the State Fair. Before scheduling I made sure that they had someone in my area. I scheduled for one week out. One hour before they were supposed to be at my house they called to say that they didn't have anyone in my area today and wanted to wait until after the State Fair was over to reschedule. The salesman Pinto Zayith and then later the sales manager Scott Manely were very understanding of our situation. Ultimately and unfortunately due to a medical and subsequent financial crisis I couldn't proceed with the solar system. But after calling and contacting Scott and explaining my situation he graciously allowed me out of the contract. My husband and I signed an agreement in mid-September with Future Energy to have solar installed. The salesman Dale was great. He was very knowledgeable. He went through everything with us and was able to answer all our questions. During the sale, we explained to Dale that we had a tin-metal roof and were concerned about people climbing and denting it. He assured us that the installers knew what they were doing and everything would be fine. Turns out our roof panels were dented... They fixed them... however it should have never happened especially when we were assured they wouldn't be damaged. It took a few hours to install the panels. We also needed a new electrical panel. They were able to set up an electrician to get that done. There was a 'disconnect' between the electrician and PG&E. It took a few weeks for PG&E to sign off. In the meantime, we still had to pay PG&E for electrical and now paying for our solar system that took a couple months to get up and running. Future Energy was nice enough to reimburse us for the first solar payment. We finally got our Permission to Operate in late November. With it being Winter, it's hard to say how much we are benefiting from it. Can't wait until Summer to see our savings when our AC and pool pump is running all the time. Over all, they were very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with. read more

I have just had Future Energy Savers install a 4kw System on my home. I have been thinking about solar since November and wanted to take advantage of the tax benefits so started contacting various solar companies. Future Energy Savers happened to be canvasing my neighborhood so I made an appointment. Dale Dalen is their sales specialist. Dale's presentation was professional and he answered all of the tough questions. From the time I signed the contract, FES has been with me all the way in their communications and expectations of completing the work. All have been very professional and they continue to give good customer service in all aspects. Since my solar was flipped on last Saturday, I have to study the performance of meeting expectations of the 4kw system and will be waiting for the verification from PG&E that I am up and running officially on solar. I will change from 4 stars to 5 once I see performance and see results as promised by FES on performance of the system which I expect :). I would recommend Future Energy Services as someone to consult with and purchase a solar system from. read more

From the sales person, site planner, installers, after installation inspector and the office personal, were very professional and most helpful with info and questions we had. The system operates just as promised we are happy going from $100+ utility bills to less than $30. We also sell power back to PG&E every month. So fed up with the door to door sales people. We have 2 signs at our door. FIRST IS A NO SOLICITING SIGN. Other is a SHH BABY SLEEPING DO NOT RING OR KNOCK! These are pretty big signs, 9in each that hang right near the doorbell. I have the sales girl on my security camera STOPPING TO READ THE SIGN & then banging on my door! Are you kidding me?! Solicit... First off I like to mention that everyone here that gave them a bad rating because they are always "bothering" you with sales calls is accurate. They came to my house several times and even called me. I would give them a low score if that is all it was. Sales.... The sales person was nice and respectful but I was already upset with them the minute he came to my door because I specifically told the office that when the sales person get here for our appointment to not to ring the door bell as my baby would be sleeping. Apparently he did not get the message. The sales person misquoted several things like cost of monitoring my system as when we read the documents it was better than he quoted. He wrote everything down on a yellow piece of paper but after all said and done, I could not find that paper, so make sure you hold on to everything. The install... The install was very professional. I am impressed with their install staff. They were very nice, and explained the process. They even asked if I had left over paint so they can match the walls perfectly. He took his time to make sure everything was explained and that there were no surprises. I have 3 routers so he carefully explained what he need and how he could connect to my network. We walked through all possible scenarios and worked with me to find one that would work for both of us. They came at 7am (on time) and completed by 11ish. They called me to let me know they were done and asked for me to inspect and gave me a quick run through and sign paperwork. Later that day I received an email to let me know my account was setup and where to go to monitor the system online and app. He also mentioned after all said and done, someone will come out and explain and fully go through the system with me. They also moved around my circuit breaker and he clearly explained it to me and relabeled them correctly. The next day my circuit breaker kept tripping on one of the ones they moved. I texted the installer (7:30pm) and he responded promptly on the same day (nice) to let me know they will come and replace the breaker. The next day they came and replaced it. Price.... I now know the price I paid is more than it should be as after reviewing avg price per KW for solar in California, I paid much higher. However, that would be my fault. SMUD... Still waiting on this. I still am not too clear how the "yearly" pricing work and SMUD need to change the meter to accurately measure the energy I am producing. Without the new meter... I am not sure I understand how that change. I will update this when I find out more. Inspection... Still waiting on this. I will update when the inspection is done. Fully explain the system... My experience with Future Energy Savers has, overall, been excellent. Everyone I've dealt with was very pleasant, and the installation of my 16-panel, 3kwh system went without a hitch. SMUD, however, took their time (almost two months) coming around to put the system on line. It was already working, but the PV input had to be disengaged until the power company finally finished their inspection. Unfortunately, I have no southern exposure, so the panels were installed on my eastern roof to catch the morning sun, peaking production at around 11:00 A.M. If I were to go with SMUD "time of day" rates, the western roof would be preferable, because the system would be producing most of its PV power during the expensive afternoon hours. However, power is lost at extreme temperatures (something a lot of people don't know), so my eastern system should do better during the hot summertime, since it doesn't normally get really hot until the afternoon. For this reason, I am staying with the standard plan, which is based on usage, and--so far--this system has kept me at the Tier 1 base rate, with no "overuse" charges. (SMUD lets you choose between the standard or time-of-use rate.) Since we're talking about SMUD, beware of their confusing billing. You should pay the amount on the back of the bill, where it says "Pay this amount to avoid a potentially high settlement amount in January." You only HAVE to pay the amount on the front, which is the electric service charge not tied to your actual usage. However, if you do this, you will then find yourself paying a lump sum bill in January for all the SMUD power you used during the year, minus the PV power you produced. I much prefer to pay as I go along, with no annual "surprises." I am pleased to report that I've already received my full 30% federal tax rebate. Turbo Tax made it easy to claim the deduction. The MyEnlighten software is easy to use and provides a clear picture of PV energy production: hour-to-hour, day-to-day, or month-to-month. I have installed different versions for my Android cell-phone, PC, and Kindle HDX. Overall, then, I'm satisfied with my investment. Prior to signing, I researched costs on the internet, and discovered that Future Energy panels cost more than most competitors. However, I also know they are the highest quality American-made panels which come with a strong 25-year warranty on both the panels and the underlying roof (not your whole roof), and have separate micro-inverters for each individual panel. Separate micro-inverters are much preferable because, when several panels are connected as a "string" to one micro-inverter, the power production of each panel is limited to that of the least efficient panel in the string. In addition, repairs and additions are simplified. Consequently, considering the quality of this system, I chose to pay the difference. read more

We have procrastinated in purchasing a solar system for many years. We originally thought that acquiring a solar system for our home would not be practical as we worked in the bay area and we were rarely home in the central valley, but now being retired and home 24/7 the large investment in this technology is worth it. Being that it is the end of summer and it just got installed, I cant really speak to the effectiveness of the system or how well it works. What I can do is talk about the installation process. My experience with Future Energy has been overall good. Dale was our service representative and if I were basing this review on him alone it would have been a 5 star review. He was personable, knowledgeable, professional and took the time to go over everything and answer our questions. He ever took the time to pre-explain what we will have to do in the following steps so that it did't feel so overwhelming. The next part was where we met Thomas, whom mapped our ability to capture enough solar to make this worthwhile. If I were to rate that experience, again, it would have been a 5 out of 5. He was punctual, polite and very informative. The installation was a tad different. We tried to get a date where we could be home all day and give them as much time as they needed, and we were assured over the phone that they only needed a few hours in the morning to access the home and then they could do the rest without us present, perfect! I would only have to take a 1/2 day to be there. Well, turns out, the installers said, no, they needed more time and they would be fine closing up for us (which is never a good idea) or they would have to install the PVCs on the outside of the home instead of going through the garage and this may seen minor, but I don't like the way it looks. So, I feel like I was pressured into an earlier appointment date by the scheduler so they could check it off their list and now I have PVCs on the outside of the house where I didn't want them. So, it wasn't the best. Then we had Thomas again for the final inspection with the city inspector and Thomas, bless his heart, was waiting around in his truck for ages for the inspector to arrive. But he did exactly what he promised and as always, was great. Thank you Thomas! Lastly, there was Zachary, who did the final meeting with me to show me how to use the online monitoring and turning the system off and on (that was today). I honestly felt like I was wasting his time, he was impatient and really didn't go over all the papers that he handed me one by one, he just said what they were and that was that. I guess I'll have to go back and read them all to know if there are things that I should know in them... I know how to get online and check what we are producing v. using, but there was already a problem with our CT measurement and he told me has been going out fixing this a lot as it's just a wiring issue that the install techs haven't quite figured out yet, so I thought, oh good he can fix it or report it...nope, he told me to call and let Future Energy know so they can take care of it, isn't that who he is? Overall, I'm excited to have solar, been wanting it for a long time and there were some really helpful people at the company among some not so helpful ones (just like any company I'm sure). We've had two of their door-to-door salespeople stop by within the last month. Problem 1: We have a "NO SOLICITING" placard right at our front door. They promptly ignored that and knocked anyway. Upon opening the door to both salespeople, within about 15 seconds of their sales pitch about PG&E and prices, I interjected with a polite, "I'm sorry but we are not interested." Problem 2: Neither of these salespeople were deterred by me telling them we are not interested and just ignored me and kept right on selling their "zero down solar blah blah blah...." If it were one aggressive salesperson I'd say it was just that individual, but after dealing with two of them this seems like a systemic issue where they're told it's okay to ignore no soliciting signs and it's okay to ignore someone who says, "No thank you. I am not interested." So not only do they get to take up homeowners' time, they get to treat them like they don't know what's best for them and their home. We started looking at Solar for our home about two years ago, we were more interested in the newer sleeker looking panels and we didn't want our entire roof filled with solar panels but still wanted to be able to produce enough energy to run our entire home. After shopping around for a while, we decided to go with Future Energy Savers because they offered these newer panels that create more energy per panel, so we were able to have less panels on our roof and still produce enough energy. They professionally placed the panels to look perfectly symmetrical on our roof... It looks great, we love it! Future Energy Savers personnel were very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable consistently on the phone, during the installation and the follow-up visit. I love the fact that we can monitor our system no matter where we are through the Enlighten app on our smart devices. After having said "No!" to every door-to-door, or Home Depot, or Costco, or direct mail, or phone solicitation, the recent fires in Santa Rosa, CA that are being attributed to PG&E made me think that someone is going to pay for all that as we did with San Bruno. I didn't want it to be me so we listened this time. Dale made most of it make sense and after a couple days or research we were convinced that it was finally time. Shockingly, the engineering and installation went quickly. They handled all the permitting and made the phone calls to the utilities and the city. It was basically seamless. From the time we signed up to the final inspection was about 3-weeks. All that remains is getting our first bill as solar customers. I love the fact that we can monitor this via phone or tablet and the fact also that we are minimizing our PG&E dependence during peak hours. We work out of our home so there are computers running all day. We've already gone LED wherever we can, solar was the natural next step. Our 3 KW system kicks out almost 4KW during peak times so we're even getting a little more for our buck that was predicted. In the end, it was just a smart purchase. I would be more than happy to discuss this with anyone. One thing that I did find disturbing was their finance people of choice and that's gonna cost them a star in their rating. Dale told us that once we received and applied our 30% tax credit to the loan our payments would automatically be reduced accordingly. I mentioned this to their finance people when they called and was told that such would not be the case. The interest rate is ridiculous so we're going to get that fixed as soon as possible or pursue other channels.. read more

Horrible experience. Kaitlyn was by far the rudest and most disrespectful person I've ever worked with. A persistent solicitor (that's already bad enough) convinced my wife to set up an appointment. Upon learning more about the business, I was not interested in leasing panels or any of their products and I decided I did not want a consultation. When Ms Kaitlyn from Future Energy called me to confirm the appointment; I kindly informed her that I was no longer interested. She proceeded to talk over me, interrupt me and told me that she would keep the appointment and call my wife. I told her that I had discussed it with my wife and we were no longer interested. This horrible woman then HUNG UP ON ME. Despite telling her not to call my wife, she then called her three times! I was so angry and upset that I called them back. Kaitlyn again answered and once more interrupted me, talked over me and would not listen. I had to tell her that I would literally call the police if she or anyone from their company came to my house. HOW IN THE WORLD do you expect people to be interested in your business when you're that rude and disrespectful? I will go out of my way to ensure that I and anyone I know never ever ever uses Future Energy. I've never been so disrespectfully treated by a business... EVER! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! This place is relentless with their calls. I made the mistake of giving them my number before, got bad(like really bad) customer service and told them to stop calling. Yet here I am still being called almost a year after. I blocked several of their numbers already and now they're calling with a private number! Very disrespectful. I'm very pregnant and I had my arms full of groceries and other items when a rep walked onto my property and started a very rude spiel. I said I was not interested and he continued saying rude comments. As I was walking into my house I turn around and he spit on my walkway towards me and walked away angrily. I complained about my bill not being reduced and my system being a insufficient system. Once I placed the review the owner contacted me and sent out a repair order.. according to them my system had some issues with communication and needed panel repair.. not sure exactly what was fixed but My bill is lower now - I still think I need one more panel but I will take what i can get. I feel if a business makes the effort to make things right they are a good company and should be recognized. I will recommend them if you are looking for solar. Then one of my sister's and her husband had Future Energy Savers install their solar and again they were very happy with the service in every way. We have been very satisfied with our 3k system. The loan and installation processes were quick and the customer service has been prompt and helpful. I had been looking into Solar for a while had talked to a couple of different companies. I went with Future Energy Saver because they offered different types of setups and was not limited to one type. Our solar panels are installed with micro-inverters instead of the string inverter. It was more expensive but it's able to maximize my roof. They offer different financing options which is a plus. Installation only took one day and they were clean and fast. I only wished the process was faster start to finish but that was due to permits, inspection and SMUD which were out of their control. They were quick with the things that they could control. Once again. I'm not a customer nor would I recommend this company to anyone period. Their sales people are rude, aggressive, and very unprofessional! Came to my door 3 times even though I have the no soliciting and do not disturb signs posted on my door. The lady came to my door banging on my gate and rang my doorbell multiple times and when I opened the door I informed her politely that I was not interested and she proceeded to keep talking and then got loud after I told her the sign clearly states no soliciting. She then got rude and started to curse at me and talk under her breath and when I asked her what she said, she kept walking and talking. I not only filed a police report but I also contacted the better business bureau and my lawyer because this kind of behavior and harassment is unacceptable. If their customer service is this bad just imagine if you have a problem with your solar! read more
