You have to check out this CC sushi spot. It's in the same shopping center as In-n -Out. Excellent service and the fish was so good. They had fish options most places around here don't offer, for example, fresh ocean trout, red snapper, and squid. As someone else already said in the review, they don't use more rice than fish on the nigiri. They also offer a good premium cold sake. You've got to try this place. read more

My wife and I wanted a light lunch. We picked several small items and just water to drink. The water was delivered almost immediately, the seaweed salad was tasty and pretty quick as well. Our waiter was polite, quick and cordial. Soon enough we had our 12 piece sashimi. The sashimi was exceptionally fresh- especially considering the distance from the coast. The shrimp tempura came and it was attractive, generous and included a few pieces of vegetable tempura as well. Many restaurants are hit and miss. One or two items are good and one or two miss the mark. Not here- Ganbaru executed each item perfectly, service was quick, presentations were pleasing, wasabi and ginger were prompt and generous, sea weed salad was fresh and tempura was hot. It was exactly what my wife and I were looking for. Ambience was clean, tasteful and upbeat. There was a colorful sushi themed mural behind the counter and colorful floral arrangement on the opposite wall. I did not try the sake but they offered an interesting selection. I would definitely go there again. If you like sushi and or a quick healthy bite this might be your place. They offer "all you can eat" if you are young and hungry. Finally tried this place! First let me say the service was great! I wish I got our servers name because she was very attentive. We got all you can eat at $33. They didn't offer us a punch card and I forgot to ask. The sushi was just ok. All the rolls we got tasted like salmon so I kept checking the menu to see if I ordered the wrong roll but I didn't. All the rolls we ordered were either shrimp tempura and or crab. As I was watching the chefs using the same knife to slice the fish and cut the rolls and same rag to wipe the counter as well as the knives is when I made the connection as to why everything tasted like salmon! I most likely won't go back but if you want to try go during lunch so you're not paying the $33!!! cost for dinner! read more

Usually when we go get sushi we go to Reno, but we decided to stop somewhere closer to home. I always look on the menu beforehand and see if they have the type of rolls that I might like that include cream cheese or torched salmon or lemon. They had all of those. We sat ar the bar for lunch. Service was friendly and fast. Place was very clean and they picked up any dishes as soon as we were done with it. Rolls were delicious and fresh. I do maybe like just a little more sauce on my rolls. My favorite rolls were the CR7 and the 503. My husbands favorite was the Carson City roll. We both thought the rolls were the perfect size ( not overloaded with rice) because it allowed us to have room to try a variety of rolls with the AYCE which includes appetizers and dessert. We will definitely be back when we want to enjoy sushi close to home. They have alcohol (beer, saki, wine) and they had the NFL games on the TV which are a plus for me. read more
