I was told that they would look at the broken springs and then provide an estimate before moving forward. Normal stuff for any repair anywhere! 22 minutes after they arrived, they were finished. And for 22 minutes it was $495. Yep, nearly five HUNDRED dollars for a spring. Nope, I wasn't happy. I was NOT told how much it would be - seriously, at these rates one could retire at 45! - but the smug choice I was given was: "Well, we can just remove the new springs if you don't want to pay." My mother needed to be driven somewhere, so you already know I paid!! Grrrrrrrrr. The best experience. I have had terrible luck with our garage door. It failed around 6 months ago, it was after hours and I called a company as we need immediate service. They charged an arm and a leg and at the time I felt like I was being swindled because of the after hours emergency. Well the same failure happened again last night. Loose cables, wheels came off the rails, wheels popped out of their brackets and the whole thing was off balance. We found David on yelp and he came by 2:00pm the following day. Today my bf was going to work when the garage door stopped working. It was half up and half down. I tried closing it, and looked around to locate the exact issue. The cable on the right side snapped. It seems like the wire had possibility come off the roll, got caught, snapped and derailed the garage door AND even shifted some of the track. It was a cluster-fuck. Hahaha. I called the number on the page and was able to speak to an actual person right away. I explained the situation and even got a quote over the phone.
