My first time to this local chain restaurant and It won't be my past. Dani my server was fun, professional and friendly. Really made you feel comfortable in this family style mexican restaurant. The salsa was delicious and flavorful. Chimichangas were light but well filled. The chicken and avocado salad was almost too much for us both it was so big. Very pleased to find such a great place to sit on the patio have good conversation and great food. Thank you to the mgr and Dani for looking after us!

Very friendly wait staff Special street tacos okay. Beef over cooked and no sour cream or guacamole. The music was not very upbeat and offered no ambiance. Chips were hot and fresh but lacked salt. Salsa and bean dip complementary.

Lunch Combo. Chile Verde burrito and Chile Relleno w/refried beans and rice

Went for lunch with 11 co-workers around 12:30p. We made a reservation and our table was ready immediately. The waitress was prompt at taking our drink order and the complementary chips and salsa came quickly. We all placed our order at the same time and all but one dish arrived at the same time, the last one came about 5 mins after the last person received their dish on the table. The good tasted good. I'm not a Mexican food expert by any means and while some of coworkers were not impressed, it was good to me. The ambiance of the restaurant was your typical Mexican theme. It was slow for that time of day. Not loud at all.

First of all is the food! Delicious, authentic Mexican! But the SERVICE was phenomenal! Dani took charge of our group of twelve without a hiccup and made us all laugh and our drinks and food came out on time and in sync! She made the entire experience wonderful for our group! I would definitely book this place for a big group!! Thank you Dani!

45 minutes and no food! We walked out! The last time Garcia's lost our order! Not impressed with the lack of customer service.

I used to live in Phoenix, and I tried this place for the first time literally the same week I was…read moremoving to Denver. Out of all the restaurants I had before leaving Arizona, THIS ended up being one of the places I couldn't stop thinking about after I moved away. Ever since leaving, I've randomly craved these tacos constantly. I've tried other taco spots in Denver hoping something would compare, but honestly nothing really hit the same. So when I came back out to Phoenix recently to visit some friends, this was one of the first places I knew I needed to come back to because I had built it up so much in my head over time. And somehow... it was just as good again. The meat tastes incredibly fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned, and you can literally watch them prepare everything right in front of you, which makes the whole experience even better. There's something so satisfying about seeing the tacos being made fresh instead of food just appearing from the kitchen. You can tell they care about quality and consistency. The servers were also super friendly and welcoming both times I came here, which honestly makes such a difference. Everyone had great energy, the service was quick, and the whole place just feels inviting and authentic. I honestly think the fact that I remembered this place so vividly for so long says everything. Usually when you revisit a restaurant after hyping it up in your head for years, it ends up disappointing you. But this place tasted exactly how I remembered it, fresh, flavorful, comforting, and absolutely worth the obsession. Safe to say this place is officially a mandatory stop for me anytime I'm back in Phoenix now.

Seemed like a very pretty part of Tempe as well. We tried asada, fish taco, carnitas, gobernador and costra. My top 2 were the carnitas then the fish, My husbands favorite was the gobernador (which was grilled shrimp & marlin) My only critiques: The breaded fried fish was slightly too oily and the asada was a bit tough. This could be situational though as we've only been once I'm not a huge fan of day of the dead/shrine situation.

Their ceviche was good but I don't recommend eating it with the tostadas they serve it with. It was better with their table chips. The price doesn't justify the portion of it. The serving was very small and you should honestly be getting more than that. The burritos were sadly not memorable. How can you mess up a burrito?! It wasn't very busy either to have an inattentive waiter either. I don't know if it was maybe an off day to come in? But I won't be returning.

It's quaint, never a wait, and it has become our family go-to. We always have wonderful service and great meals with freshly prepared ingredients. The shrimp dishes are incredible, remnant of Puerto Peñasco with shrimp that "pops" (if you know good shrimp, you know what I mean!) They have Negra Modelo on draught (hard to find that!), and their margaritas are delish. You can't go wrong with chimichangas or combo platters! They have moles on the menu but we typically opt for more traditional Sonoran style. If you are on the search for amazing traditional Mexican food in South Tempe - you found your spot!

Some of my favorite tacos are their Cabeza, Buche, and Asada. I also think their menudo on the weekend is fantastic too! So after clocking out I drove there and I was surprised it was right next to Kim Thao's Bakery. I had never seen this place until I got there. Inside, the ambiance gives a very authentic Mexican vibe with a lot of decor. I got the 3 cabeza tacos which was cow meat from the head. I wasn't hesitant in trying because why would I not? The tacos were really flavorsome. The meat combine with the toppings and lime made it seem like it was like any other beef taco. So after eating all 3, I ordered 3 more...After the first visit, I went back a different time to try their burritos. On the other hand, the burritos were very pricey...I ordered a beef tongue burrito which ran me about 20$....but, they are packed heavily. The beef tongue had a consistency like chicken which I like. But sometimes some of the meat had a rubbery texture. Everything I ate there was very delicious as I could taste the quality. I think this spot is authentic as it has great portion sizes however, I do think it can be pricey. Would I come here again? Yes, but just for the tacos. My next visit, I would definitely try the carnitas and cabeza tacos again. Overall, I rate this place a strong 7/10. sorry. We also use to love the sushi side. During Covid, we tried the sushi for the first time. We were hesitant as it's a Mexican joint, right? Not a Japanese specialty shop. So to my surprise, I couldn't believe the sushi especially the Las Vegas roll and their Nigiri cuts were pretty dang good. My disappointment seems to be this last year with the sushi just hasn't been the best or fresh tasting. The Las Vegas roll was always nice and warm but with an awesome cold center and fried to perfection and the sauce just right. Lately it's been the opposite. Super over fried were all you can taste is old burnt oil and it dried out and the sauce just bland and not helping at all. The other thing that bothers us is the lack of wasabi they give! If you're not going to give us full flavor, at least give more wasabi to help mask. I will say they give you plenty of soy sauce packets (just barely any wasabi).
