Did not like the salsas or the food. Service was great! The bean dip just tasted like refried beans mashed. The rice was not good. Charro beans were boring; no taste. The sour cream enchiladas had a great sauce on them. I do not like dark meat and they were a mixture of white and dark meat. The server told me she did not like dark meat either but she loved those enchiladas so I decided to give him a try.Obviously , this is a matter of taste and there was too much dark meat in them for my liking. I went to Garcia's with the in laws. Everyone was in the mood for Mexican food I figured I would get a salad I ordered the Chicken avocado salad, without the chicken or cheese. When I got my salad, I saw that there was chicken on the salad. Before I could say anything, our server noticed it and whisked it away for a new salad. When I got my salad back, it looked fine and I started eating it. Then I noticed a piece of chicken. I guess they tried to remove the chicken, but missed a piece. We ordered take out last week and it was pretty good (with the exception of the ground beef taco) and they were generous with the chips and salsa. We went back this week and received 1/2 the salsa, ordered 2 espinacas w/ one filled 1/2 way (see pic). The shredded beef enchiladas arrived with red sauce (ordered green) and had about a tablespoon of beef in each of them. Too bad because we eat a lot of Mexican food! Prologue: My fiancée arrived home from work on a recent Friday evening and announced she wanted to go out for dinner and was in the mood for Mexican. She had been to this location a few times before, always had a good experience, and so I was happy to oblige. The Plot: We ordered two entrees, including the Tampico Stuffed Chicken (marinated chicken breast grilled and stuffed with jalapeño cream cheese, topped with Espinaca con Queso; served with rice and black beans) and the Ultimate Burrito (grilled chicken breast, sautéed onions and peppers, wrapped in a flour tortilla, and covered with green sauce; served with sour cream and guacamole). We concluded the meal by sharing Apple Flautas with vanilla ice cream. The Scene: We arrived around 7:30pm, the service was prompt and courteous, and we were seated immediately. This restaurant is obviously popular on the weekends, although it doesn't feel crowded and isn't too noisy, which is something my fiancée thoroughly appreciates. While waiting for our entrees we enjoyed lots of tortilla chips along with hot and mild salsa as well as bean dip. My fiancée especially likes the thin chips they serve because they are very crispy but not oily. Both of the entrees arrived at our table nice and hot and the portion sizes were more that enough for us to share. The stuffed chicken breast was grilled just right for me and the cheese sauce inside was very tasty but not too spicy. The rice was fluffy and the black beans had a nice, hearty flavor. The burrito contained a generous amount of the traditional ingredients and was served with all the usual sides. The highlight of the meal for me was the side of guacamole that came with the burrito. It was creamy and chunky and the flavor was spot on. Next time we visit I will order the guacamole appetizer so there's more to enjoy. My fiancée usually shies away from fried foods. However, this was her first time trying Apple Flautas and she loved it. The portion size was very generous and it disappeared fairly quickly. The Rest of the Story: There were plenty of choices on the menu and we thought the prices were very reasonable for what we got. It was nice to find a place where we could relax and take our time while we enjoyed our meal. Love getting food from Garcia's! I live out of town and whenever I come back I always have to stop and get food from here at least once. I usually place a to go order and pick it up but this time we wanted to sit and eat there. They immediately brought out the chips, salsa and bean dip (my fave!). We ordered our food and double checked with the waiter that the food was right. As we were eating we realized that one of the dishes was wrong and asked if we could get the right order. They were really nice about it and got us the right dish but we had to wait a little bit and it came out when we were mostly done eating. Our bill for 3 entrees was $53. It would have been nice if they maybe have a little discount on one entree considering we had to wait a while with the mishap. But either way, the service was nice and the food is delicious. read more

Our food was okay. I had the"Ultimate Fajitas". The steak and the chicken were a little dry. The shrimp were very good. Ultimate in quantity if not quality. Mom had two chili relenos. One of them was good, but the second was chewy... Not sure how that happens. Our server was great, but he was busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. Not his fault. My margarita was pretty decent. On special for $3.99 and that was a bargain. Not watered down; not too much mix. Just right. Love the design and decor. We ordered 3 entrees and 2 of them were brought out correctly and in a reasonable time. The 3rd was incorrect. We brought this to their attention and they immediately apologized and brought out a different entree within 10 minutes; this one was also incorrect! We brought it to their attention and they profusely apologized and then finally about 15 minutes later, they brought out the correct entree. I had no problem with this, albeit that I was no longer hungry since I ate the chips and salsa in the meantime. However, given that I was paying for the correct meal the brought within a reasonable amount of time, I would've expected at least a discount on the meal since it was initially incorrect meal:correct time, and then eventually correct meal:incorrect time. However, they did not do this, but instead tried to pass off removing the incorrect items on the bill as a favor that they had done for us. Of course this would be removed, we didn't order it or eat it! The staff were very friendly as well as the person who we interpreted to be the manager. Eh, it was alright. The lunch specials come with a huge amount of food- more than enough to warrant a siesta afterwards! I had the red chile burrito lunch ($7.99), which came enchilada-style, with rice and your choice of beans (Refried, charro, black). We were promptly served chips and our waitress took our drink order quickly once we were seated. The chips were a huge portion and size, served with salsa and refried beans. The red chile was made with large chunks of beef. Although I appreciated that they used whole chunks, they were bordering on the side of being too large to eat with one bite. The portions are nice the wait times isn't bad and the staff is good and attentive. There's plenty to choose from on the menu I got with build your own and my favorite item is the refried beans. We had a serious allergy at the table that was not taken seriously whatsoever. I've been here a few times and it never disappoints. The food is absolutely wonderful. I've tried their tacos, burritos, fajitas, pollos fundidos, enchiladas, taquitos, chimichangas, and quesadillas. Everything is cooked to perfection. My personal favorite is the Olivia's Sampler. It's got like two tacos, two chimis, two pollos fundidos, and two taquitos. The atmosphere at this place is calm too. There's ample seating whether you prefer eating indoors or outside. The outside also has a frog statue that greets you by the entrance. If that's not cool, I don't know what is! As far as costs go, a typical dinner meal (for an entree and a soft drink) is about $10 to $15 per person. read more

Second time we have been to the garcias on Warner. Same waitress . Black hair with gray on one side. We won't be back. She acted like she was doing us a favor. Hard shell taco was tasty; as was the Mexican pizza. As an aside, that's not on the menu but if you ask they'll make it. Drinks were cold and fresh. Tad bit pricey; nothing too expensive, but eh. We have eaten at this location since it opened and we always loved the food here. For the past few years we do take out due to Covid and also my wife's health. Tonight I was surprised when my wife suggested that we eat here. The last few times that we ordered the food was not up to par. We hate to complain so we just toss what we don't eat and grab something from the freezer. Tonight...well last night...was the last time we will eat here or at any Garcias. My food was horrible...my chicken was so tough I coud barely cut it. My wife opened the takeout box to discover that no one paid any attention to her requests. She ordered a burrito and asked for extra enchilada sauce on it. She said please do not out anything else in the container just heap lots of sauce on the burrito. She also ordered another item and about ten minutes later the friendly person who took her order called my wife to say the second item was unavailable. My wife told her not to worry the burrito would be fine. She ordered double rice and again she reminded the person who took her order that she did not want anything in with her burrito. When my wife opened her food there was a burrito covered in cheese...a tiny amount of very thin sauce...and her rice. I head her tell them that she did not want her foods on one plate. The rice was a double order and whatever sauce there was on her burrito that rice sat on top of it. Needless to say my picky eater had no dinner thanks to Garcias. I offered to go back but she said she lost her appetite. Not sure if you stopped giving your famous beandip for take out but you gave us the worst bag of chips ever. They were terrible and hard as can be. Undercooked or over cooked you could not chew them. Things change, cooks come and go...and so will we. Times are tough and we understand that but if you can't follow a simple request from your long time customers...or any for that matter...we shall take our business elsewhere. read more

Sat on the large patio with a group of 15 and they claimed to be unable to get either of the electric heaters working near us, however, the other side was working just fine, 3 kids and 2 adults are sick this morning... Lesson learned, Valle Luna Chandler with a lakeside patio, functioning heaters and very good food will be our go-to spot from now for good food, service, and excellent drinks, in particular, the White Death Margarita, in my opinion, one of the best in town. read more

In May we went to Garcia's for the first time, wow, it was outstanding. We put it on our list of places to go. Their bean dip is killer by the way, if you have never had it. The food was fresh and hot. Service was fantastic, our waiter was on top of it. And by the way, it was super busy on this Friday night. Roll ahead to Friday June 25, 2021. Boy were we disappointed. Our server, Brooke, needs to go back to server school, she was awful. She was one of those hit and run servers. She would bring something to the table, set it and and turn around and off she went. Several times we had to call her back, so we could order, and ask for something additional. Learn how to be a sever Brooke and change professions. On to the food, there were 4 of us, out of those 4, one plate had decent food. The other 3, were BAD. I had a taco and burrito, the taco shell was so chewy I just ended up taking the filling out and eating with a fork. The burrito looked like it was made with 4 flour tortilla's wrapped up with a spoonful of meat. Another plate had a big chimichanga, the filling was honest to gosh, burnt. We all had drinks, they made a killing off of us, guessing they simply waved the booze bottle over the top of the glass. Oh yea, forgot, they also ran out of glasses, one in our party ordered a Margarita, they brought it to him in a Pepsi glass. I decided to try this spot with the family. I was a bit worried as this location has been a revolving door for businesses. The first thing you notice is a truly amazing covered patio, you should come here on a nice day. The menu has no real surprises, but there is a nice local location section on the back with more unique items. One such item was the avocado enchiladas. Two wih sides for about $12. They were great and a nice break from the usual cheese and spinach enchiladas. The bean dip here is vegetarian and has a nice spice note. The chips are thin restaurant style. Great food and lovely service. Green chile sauce on the tamale rocks! Every time we come it's consistently good and I like being able to count on a good experience. Yes the beandip is yummy & the chips are crisp and warm. Prices are reasonable and love how employees seem to appreciate being here. I've seen the manager step in to help and she gives good feedback to her team. I'm a fan of this location more than the one closer to my house. Again, consistency is a big plus. My wife and I stopped by for lunch and we were not impressed. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the outdoor seating but the table was dirty and the food was not tasty at all. Emma had avacado enchiladas and I had a chicken burrito enchilada style. Both dishes came with rice and beans. The rice wasn't cooked thoroughly and the torillas were very cheap and tasteless. The chicken in my burrito was boiled and had no flavor at all. We were very disappointed with our lunch. Well this is an updated for an ongoing complete now. My friend and I have always gone to this restaurant at least two or three times a month because we love their avocado enchiladas. Several occasions they have messed up the order latest was yesterday. My avocado enchiladas did not have any sauce on the top and the tortilla what is that made or cooked the right way. The management and the server did not acknowledge my friends order and didn't even offer an apology. For customers who have been going for several years we have noticed that the quality of the food as well as the quality of the service has gone down. The managers always want to blame each other throw the blame automatically on the kitchen staff without even apologizing to the customer. Took friends to dinner last night. We were seated immediately. Our server came but then did not bring drinks ( all non alcohol) for over 15 mins. 20 mins after we arrived we were given chips n salsa. Our order finally taken after almost 30 mins and then another 30 mins for food. We all order completely different meals. Enchiladas great, Carnitas Taco great, Fajita burrito was dry. We also ordered the Grande Chimichanga with Red Chile. So disappointing, Probably not even 3 Tablespoons of filling, This chimichanga not sure how they cooked but not fried, but the ends were so hard, we couldn't even cut through. According to description on menu this burrito is supposed to be covered with sauce, barely any on it. Note we came for this Grande Chimi as we have had before, this trip so disappointing may never go back. Party of 5 ~ Friday Night ~ Friends decided I should get out of the house. I really wasn't feeling like it so Garcia's was suggested as it is a stones throw from my house. Took my daughter out to dinner Monday night because I didn't feel like cooking, I'm sure we all have had nights like that. I told her I wanted to check out the new Garcia's that is our area, she said ok, so off we went! The restaurant from the outside does not look roomy, but once you are in you see that's not true. I saw on the board their daily special was called an Ajo Grill, so I started to wonder what that was, but took the menu that was handed to me and checked out what other options I had. Now my daughter, she knew right off the bat what she wanted, cheese enchiladas beans & rice, so when our server came to our table I asked him what the Ajo Grill was, he told me it was Steak or Chicken cut up with peppers and onions cut up on top of a bed of rice served on a skittle grill that came with pico de gallo, cheese, sour cream & tortillas, omg yes that's what I want to order!! Dinner came, and it was beautifully colored, the red & green bell peppers or orange of the rice, it was very eye pleasing, and it tasted great! I made me some soft tacos with my tortillas and was only able to eat about half of it, but don't worry, it made for a great burrito at home! My daughter, who turned 21 in June, but was prego and unable to drink, ordered her 1st strawberry margarita, and I giggled when she got carded! We both wanted dessert, I had been craving Fried Ice Cream, and boy oh boy did their fried ice cream hit the spot!
