We mostly came for the primo view. There are so many lakes in the Orlando area but not enough lakeside bars! Struggling to think of somewhere to go, Gator's finally popped into my mind. It has a large covered patio facing the lake and the busy goings on of the passersby. Now I can't speak for the food today because we strictly stayed on the drink menu and draft list. There were a few things that caught my eye food-wise but the majority here is fried and typical bar food type offerings of wings, burgers, etc. Our main complaint was that service was slow. We were here on a weekend afternoon between lunch and dinner so there was no rush that should have been keeping anyone away. Maybe just because we were outside we were not a high priority based on our order value. Drink specials were decent but nothing exceptional. This is a really great place to watch football on Sundays. There are a seemingly endless amount of TV's and they are all labeled with which game they are showing which is helpful. The server we had was really nice and attentive despite it being pretty busy. The drink specials are pretty competitive and the food is the best that you can hope traditional bar food to be. We tried the gator tail and the appetizer sampler and everything was exactly as we expected. Nothing out of this world but solid fried food with tasty dipping sauces. We really liked the carribbean jerk sauce we got on the zingers. Overall, solid place to watch football and drink beer. Without going into detail, the manager here went above and beyond to accomodate an obnoxious customer (me). In doing so he has earned a customer for life. This location has a wide open floor plan with outdoor seating overlooking a lake. The staff is usually on top of everything and the food comes out quick (even the AYCE wings). Nothing really memorable about this place. I guess a good place to take kids, as there were many present. The servers will not offer the specials, so make sure you ask...I noticed the table next to us ordering a wing special right after I placed my order for wings...only to find out I would have preferred that wings special, which I obviously knew nothing about. When I could finally flag down my server to ask about it, she said "sorry I didn't know you wanted the wing special"...unfortunately it was too late for her to change my order...really? My 4 year old LOVES Gators and Hiccup the clown, who does face painting and balloon animals on Tuesday's- like so much that she wanted Hiccup at her last birthday party. So much that when family visit she wants to go there and get pictures in front of the gator out front. I told her if she was good we'd go today, but she was really sick. I told her I'd at least order her Gators meal, always Mac and cheese, oranges and their Oreo cookies, especially the cookie! So imagine my panic when the kids menu was not on the Uber eats delivery menu. I called and pleaded. I said I'll order whatever as long as when it gets here it looks like Mac and cheese, oranges and especially- Oreo cookies. The girl I spoke to was very understanding and accommodating. When it arrived, it even had a note, "Hope you feel better soon." My grilled wings were great as usual. I should mention I'm from Buffalo, where we take wings seriously. I'm glad Gator's Dockside is located in Baldwin Park. It's been needing some new restaurants to inject some business. The wings are great, the prices affordable, and a nice beer selection. This is run so much better than Paddy Murphy's who occupied the space before. There is a a great openness in this restaurant and if you sit outside, you have a great view of the lake. Pros: Staff is great, and knowledgeable about the menu. Pros: If you have any issue with your order, management is responsive. Pros: If you like wings, they are able to be served 3 ways, I love that! Pros: Great outside seating Cons: They need more parking or at least to-go parking. As a Baldwin park resident I'd like to get a to-go order. It's pretty impossible. I've had a wing craving but passed simply because I knew It would be super annoying to have to find a space. Cons: I mentioned the openness of the restaurant was great. It's also a con It's very very noisy. They need to add something to absorb the noise. I know it's a sports bar with monitors all over the place but geesh. You are better off sitting outside imo. I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. We stopped here for a beer after our bike ride and I figured I'd get some okay bar food with it but what showed up was deep fried heaven. I had the fish and chips and I swear they were probably the best fish and chips I've ever had (and I've had some in London). The Mac and cheese was also delicious. Manger was rude and disrespectful to our party Twice. It was Sunday at noon this Manager was totally unprepared for a Sunday rush with an attitude at that. No place for my party to stand or sit while waiting for a table, there was a bench outside but it was blazing hot and my parents are in their 80's they had to ask a party already sitting inside if they could use an empty chair. Manager would not give us any kind of estimate as for the wait ,I can't give you that he says .it's football Sunday ok we know that but we noticed empty tables in the dinning room, and WE WERE THE ONLY NAME ON THE LIST!!. I could see if we were 5 names down. 2 people in my party had to leave due to no EST of time. Part of our party was tired (had to park in bfe) and were leaning on the ONLY wall available a working area and the manager rudely moves them away, you can't be here he says, they didn't mind moving but it was the way he said it ... My party was like there is no area or place to wait where do you want us to wait ?? Togo meals were taking up an available table with chairs we could have sat there Wasted space, The hostess were nice but this Manager HAS TO GO very disorganized rude and no respect for the elderly. This is a great Gator's Dockside. The first thing I recommend (if it's not too hot) is to grab a table outside and look at the lovely scenery. They do allow dogs out there which is great, my pup loves the complimentary water bowl. My girlfriend got some naked wings (no fried) and she loved them. I opted for the chicken quesadillas and they were solid. The portion sizes are favorable and the service and prices are both good. I'm simple so I love getting a bud light when I go here, but they have a variety of drinks to choose from. read more

Had dinner last night at gators with my family. I ordered Grilled wings because that's what they advertised on their menu, I realized the wings looks fried to me so I asked the server I think they made a mistake. She stated that's how they make the wings it's NOT grilled wings, they FRY the wings first than just add a grill pan marking after. Honestly it was disgusting. When I bit into it was drenched in grease that it dripped on my jeans and stained it. I don't understand how they can advertise its grilled wings and ended up frying it first that's FALSE advertisement and disgusting. Best wings in town. Hands down. So many flavors to choose from. I tend to come in for the $10 wing lunch special which includes one side. My fav flavors is the peanut butter & jelly and siracha BBQ. If you're a sports fan, this is also a great sports bar to go to for any major sporting events. Great selection of beers and cocktails and good bar food. Ordered Mac & Cheese burgers and the gator tots with Uber eats. When the food came the burgers were missing top buns and the extras we ordered with them (Hey stuff happens, Sundays are always busy). After calling the store they sent us new burgers and they were nothing but delightful. We're super happy with their customer service and their food was amazing. I came with a small group on a Wednesday night, which is also the same night as trivia. Trivia was a lot of fun. I thought the DJ did a good job. Our team was even honored a $5 gift card to use on a future night, not including another Wednesday night. It seems clear that Wednesdays are the typical busy night, which may have been the reason we had some difficulty putting in future orders. It took a little longer than I would have liked to get another drink, especially since I wasn't eating, only drinking. However, my friends seemed pretty happy with their unlimited wings of various flavors, but were confused why they were also given fries every time. Mediocre service is to be expected at these types of places in my opinion but it is still a good time. read more

I've given this place 3 tries and all 3 times they fell short smh. Try #1 This place is 2 stop lights from Where i live and i am a avid Fight Fan. I called around a few places to see if they were showing the Bellator PPV MMA match (Fight fans know what i am talking) and places showing it were either 2 far or wanted a cover charge. So i tried Gators dockside, Talked to a young lady and asked her "Are you guys showing the MMA fight saturday" She says "Yes we are" Then i asked "Is there a cover charge?" She says "No". Perfect... So i thought. I pull up to gators around 11:45 just in time from the Co Main event to start. I start walking up and i see no fight on the tv's So i am confused. I walk up to the front counter and asked the girl at the front if they were showing the fight. They tell me No. I looked at them confused and explained how i called in advance and was told something different. all they could say was "I received bad information" So night was ruined no other bar in the area was showing the fight. I could've made other Arrangements if they knew what they were talking about. Try #2 So i go to my usual bar which is Friendly confines a mile up the road to watch another MMA fight. For some reason they aren't showing it this time. So i called around quickly to see who is showing it and Luckly This time Gators is showing it. So i go to Gators, Not to crowded (probably for a reason) so i find a seat the bar. I look at the menu and order some wings. When i got the wings the wings look like the Chickens were Anorexic. I've seen bigger wings at Checkers. Totally disappointed. Try #3 This will ensure that i will never step foot in here again. This time i didn't feel like cooking at home and wanted something convient but not fast food. So i call in a order for a turkey burger at Gators Dockside (SMH) i get my food and i get home and i discover there is no Condiments or Vegetables on my turkey burger (WTF) even McDonalds gives you pickles and onions. Even Burger kings dollar menu you get mayo and lettuce. All i got was 2 slices of bread and meat............ Luckily i told them no seasoning on the fries or i probably wouldn't have gotten french fries smh. This place will never see another dollar from me or anyone i know. read more

Gator's is one of my go-to places for wings. I love that you have the option of grilled wings, and there are so many different sauce flavor options. I was recently introduced to the peanut butter and jelly flavor, which is pretty awesome. I would normally order the medium buffalo sauce or parmesan garlic with a side of celery and ranch. If you are not in the mood for wings (not sure how that is possible, but to each his own...), the philly cheese is another favorite here. They use white American cheese on their philly cheeses, which may not appeal to those from Philly, but I think it's quite tasty. Their salad selection always looks good, but I have yet to order one, as I am usually here to eat junk food and watch football. This is also a great place to catch a game, as there are tvs everywhere. This location does not seem to be as busy as others, but it is also a pretty large space. I have never had to wait for a table so far. My one complaint about this particular location is how loud it is. It's hard to carry on a conversation without yelling. I think there is something about how the place is laid out, because I remember having this same problem at the bar that occupied this space before Gators. So don't expect to carry on much of a conversation, just stuff your mouth with some wings and watch some football! read more

The food was really good. The drinks were good as well, could have been a bit stronger. I am not a drinkers and drank the alcoholic beverage like juice. It was a pineapple tea mix. I had 3 and barely felt anything. It may have just been this particular night, we've had better drinks here previously. Our waitress made our experience memorable. Maggie was new to the Gators team (3 weeks or so new) and she was really cool. Very bubbly and fun waitress. It was All Star night so we came here to catch the game and got some added entertainment and laughs with Maggie. Came here a couple weeks for drinks and to watch a fight... the place was packed which I had expected, went to the outdoor bar and me and my friends were able to watch the fight and enjoy some drinks in a very comfortable environment. Don't get the Mahi Mahi tacos. While the idea seems delicious and healthy, these tacos are covered in a very heavy mayo slaw, that definitely made the tacos less delicious and less healthy. Ordered 10 piece chicken, ended up having 9, not sure if the driver ate one or the kitchen messed up. However, I ended up having to trash the wings because they were not cooked through consistently. We normally love dining at gators dockside, but if this had been the first location we ever went to we would have never come back. Our server was very nice, but the food was below standard and came out incorrectly multiple times. We were encouraged to try the new "steak toast" appetizer, which was the first disappointment of the night. Four small over cooked strips of steak on two (presumably) previously frozen slices of Texas toast. Hoping for a better main dish our shrimp po boy came out incorrectly, then we were told that the manager was going to talk to us before it came out again. She came out, but quickly dropped off our dish (now with the incorrect side.. But we didn't want to send it back again) and made no mention of our dissatisfaction. Great sports atmosphere in an amazing lakeside location in the heart of Baldwin Park. I ate the gator tail, and it was pretty darn good! I'd deem this "upscale bar food" which isn't my fave cuisine, but it was good and I'd certainly recommend to any sports buff that's into burgers and such. Gators is a welcome addition to Baldwin Park. The prices are reasonable and the wings are fantastic. I prefer the grilled Gators Own Hot with a couple 4 Alarm Suicide to put me over the top. There are tons of Tv's so catching the game is never a problem. Beer prices are the lowest in Baldwin Park so it's a good place for those marathon game days. read more
