Chili Soup - Cup

I ordered take out from this place and it didn't work the first few times but then it did and I did not even notice yet. I went inside and made an in person order instead. Staff was super friendly. The order made in person was more expensive than via yelp. When we realized I had a double one they had no issue canceling one. The food was pretty good. This was a basic salad and a cup of chili so for a meal under $10 I was pretty impressed. Especially the chili was excellent, not watery but nice thick and flavorful. So was the salad with a large amount of dressing on the side. All the girls working in the front were so amazing.

Half Rack of Ribs - Half, French Fries, Tater Tots, garlic toast

We went on a Monday night at 6:30 and were seated right away. It was decently busy due to their endless bone-in wings deal on Mondays. Our server was friendly and the food was served in a timely manner, including the continuous orders of wings. The atmosphere was slightly loud, but we were outside, so I'm not sure if inside is better. I ordered the half rack of ribs with fries and tater tots. The ribs were alright, nice flavor, but there was little pieces of bone in the meat that I kept having to pick out. Also was a small struggle to get meat off the bone. The fries were good and so was the ranch though ranch is an up charge. The tater tots probably were from a freezer bag of premade tots, evident from their texture and flavor (or lack thereof). My meal also came with garlic toast but it was incredibly salty. My husband loved the endless wings and enjoyed trying all the different flavors! I would come back for the endless wings deal and probably wouldn't order the ribs or tater tots again. If you're looking for a place to go on a random week night to feed your whole family or to watch a game this place is probably a great place to check out!

Cheesesteak and fries - good!

Diverse menu, amazing location, lots of TVs for sports, and prices are reasonable. I'd like to try more of the menu before passing judgement, but this place is a neighborhood asset and deserves recognition and my repeat visits to see the hockey playoffs. Trivia nights look fun also.

The evidence...yuck

Pulled in off the bike path and oh my..... Cold stale greasy chips and the worst club sandwich I have ever eaten. Flavorless toasted white bread with bland pressed ham and turkey, flavorless cheese, shredded lettuce and flavorless tomato. I suspect low quality ingredients as I could have been eating fake food display with similar enjoyment. On the plus side the bartender was a sweet person and very attentive.

I will forever come here for gators basketball games!! Not only was this establishment extremely cooperative when I was on a last minute hunt for a reservation for 10 people during the final March madness game, the food was phenomenal! The atmosphere provided alone was amazing. The beer towers are also extremely affordable & fun! *apparently their Buffalo chicken is just fried chicken, not necessarily covered in Buffalo just fyi!

My go to spot for buffalo wings. The food is consistently good. I love the spicy garlic wings. Also, Monday nights are all you can eat wings.

First time coming here after living in Florida for 8 years although I've had take out before. Typical sports bar atmosphere and food. Friday night it wasn't too crowded...food was good and service was good as well.

I've always been a fan of Gator's Dockside, but my recent experience at the Baldwin location was incredibly disappointing. The nachos came out cold and barely had any toppings. We also ordered the loaded fries, which were topped with unmelted sprinkle cheese--it wasn't even warm enough to melt the cheese! The wings were over-fried, and I was served a glass of wine that was a completely different brand than what I ordered--it tasted awful. To make matters worse, our server was absent for most of the meal. I had to track her down three different times just to order additional food. While I didn't want to make a scene in front of the couple we were dining with, the lack of quality in the food and service was extremely frustrating. This is such a great location in a wonderful area, but we spent a lot of money and left feeling ripped off and disgusted with a tummy ache. Gator's Dockside Baldwin, you need to do better.

This is where we meet with the Orlando, Auburn University club and watch games together... Super fun atmosphere great service. Delicious wings.

A local place to watch the game and have a few drinks to escape the heat. Food is normal bar food and the staff is super friendly. Cool theme as well.

Was taking a trip down memory lane having lived in the Baldwin Park area before it had been developed. Needed a bite to eat and stopped by here. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area, so I had to park a couple blocks away. Upon arrival, I requested to sit outside. They have an outside patio across from Lake Baldwin. Many people were outside with their dogs on the patio. (Inside had a strong chemical cleaner smell.) TVs are located inside and outside playing sports, and there are some games inside, too. Typical sports bar feel. Server was friendly and quick with bringing water, drinks, and food. Snacked on their Signature Mushrooms to start. Then had a Gyro. Both were ok and standard. Place was busy and seems a popular neighborhood hangout.

The food is consistent to the level that you would expect for a chain such as gators. They are unbeatable for gamedays though!

Updating this review from about seven years ago. I came to Reel Fish a while ago, and it was a…read moretruly awful experience. The skimpy amount of seafood I got was not good, not cooked well, or served with undercooked potatoes. It shook me. Especially for a Winter Park restaurant. After my five year statute of limitations passed on repeating restaurants, I looked for the perfect opportunity to come back and try again. I found that opportunity recently with a few friends for brunch. Their brunch menu looked amazing, so we made our reservation and came on by. Ambiance is actually really nice. Right off one of the main WP roads, gigantic windows look out upon the street as passersby roam from shop to shop. Inside looks like an ocean-side sea shack, but an upper middle class one. Very nice little ocean-themed chotchkies adorn the walls, very cozy. Service was also great. Very nice server, very prompt food delivery, and they gave complimentary bread with a delightful butter. I always adore free bread. We started off sharing the Seafood Fritters (Four savory puppies, stuffed with lobster, shrimp, scallops, clams, grouper, onions, corn, poblano peppers, served with a zesty tartar sauce). If all five of those seafoods really were in there, there must have been only a few molecules each, but there was undoubtedly flavors from most of that list, and they were accentuated with the poblano. Topped with that zesty tartar, and this was an A+ app. I had the Lobster Benedict Royale (Chunks of Maine lobster on fried green tomatoes & house-baked buttermilk biscuits, topped with poached eggs & Hollandaise, sprinkled with paprika & chopped green onions). This was indulgent. Pure luxury. A warm biscuit with a good flakiness, that fried green tomato with the perfect thickness and thin, delicate coating, and those perfectly cooked jumbo chunks of lobster on top, all covered in an unctuous Hollandaise. Exactly as it sounds, as advertised, the perfect seafood brunch item. I also got to try the Shrimp Frittata (Wild-caught Florida shrimp, fresh eggs, spinach, Campari tomatoes, goat cheese, caramelized onions, baked in a cast-iron skillet, with wheat toast, butter & a little mixed green salad). This was a fun dish. Good shrimps, well-cooked eggs, a nice tang from that goat, and of course a nice crunchy toast to help make it even more interesting. I didn't like that random salad on the side. Just get bigger cast irons and make the frittata bigger. Overall, what a redemption. I'm not sure what was wrong back in the day, but this is a five star place now that I will happily return to when it's time.

Pros: Ambiance is so nice. Right in the cross section of…read morewhere the good places of Winter Park are. Huge windows overlooking the cars passing by on the street. And they gave us free bread and biscuits that were very, very good. Best part of the meal probably. Food was good, too! We came for brunch, so everything was a brunch/seafood combo, which was so good. Cons: Not a single con. Real good meal. Tips: Ask for more of that delicious bread.

And to top it off snatched the menu out of my hands. Let's start with how they run the restaurant It's almost like s fast food They take your order first and pay, then they sit you. They even ask for tip. Once seated they bring the food out. Decor was okay but the furniture was in terrible conditions. Restroom looks like a 7/11 bathroom. Now the food which was pricey. No flavor at all. Let me start with the coconut shrimp, no flavor just drop fried. French fries were good but no seasoning. The lobster bisk was horrible. Again no flavor and very giddy with tiny sherds of lobster. Mac and cheese tasted like microwave food. My husband had fried scallops and although it didn't have much flavor they were pretty good. All in all great for all the seniors that were there but not for younger folks or anyone who likes to taste their food. Sadly to say won't be returning.

Our server Brett was amazing and made the whole experience even better. We started with the gator bites, and for the main dishes we had the shrimp & andouille cheese grits and a po' boy sandwich with slow-cooked red beans and rice. The mains were absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and seasoned perfectly. For dessert we had the beignets, and they were sweet, flaky, and full of flavor. The perfect ending to the meal. To drink we had the Hurricane and the Hemingway. The drinks were definitely strong, but absolutely worth it. The music, atmosphere, and overall energy really reminded me of New Orleans culture. You haven't had shrimp and grits til you've had them as grit cakes, get the shrimp and grit cake: Monica style, if you don't like spice, maybe don't get it but it's delicious otherwise. The combination of the crunchy fried exterior and the creamy grits inside is such a yummy experience. Lastly, you have to get beignets and an espresso martini. As a beignet obsessed person, it pains me to say that their bread pudding is the superior dessert. I'm not a HUGE fan of the croissant flaky style of beignet that's become the norm for most places, but that's what they have here. I'd much prefer the classic beignet with the pocket of air in the middle. But otherwise they're still amazing and the espresso martini is delicious. Sarah B was an efficient and friendly waitress! Made a reservation for 7 p.m. Arrived a bit early and had to kill some time at the bar, as they were only seating on-time. I ordered an espresso martini, which looked more like a shot than a cocktail. It wasn't great. Not the right consistency. Weak color. Once seated at our table, my party of 3 ordered 2 apps. We all agreed the Ceviche was the most bland we have ever tasted. Served sans lime wedges, which might have helped, but not much. The Crush Puppies were also meh. Rather small portion that appeared to be fried a bit too long. The other cocktail I ordered from their bar menu (grilled cheese and pickle one) was again miniature-looking. Our entrées were a step up from our apps, at least. I was very disappointed that my top pick, the Cioppino, had just sold out. Guess that was a popular dish on Mother's Day. My daughter's Truffle Bucatini had a satisfying flavor. Service was fine. The hostess, however, wasn't all that friendly or helpful. The interior is nicely styled and has an upscale feel with verdant plants tucked here and there. The central bar has an enticing vibe. Overall though, it was an expensive outing that failed to impress us.
