My husband and I are visiting Denver and ate at Gattara's last night. We had a late lunch and shared several items. We began with Contadina salad and it was excellent, they utilized a balsamic glaze to dress the salad and the richness really complemented the Gorgonzola cheese. The main course we split was gnocchi Triffolata and the flavor was fabulous but the garlic was a little raw for my taste. We didn't split dessert and it was worth it! I ordered the bread pudding and my husband ordered the chocolate pyramid. We both agreed my bread pudding won! Our servers were kind, helpful in our ordering process and kept my water glass full. The atmosphere was nice, I noticed a couple celebrating a beautiful occasion. Gattara has an uptown menu with the comforts of every day life! I came here with my friend this evening, it had been a long week and we were hoping for some delicious comfort food. Wow. I was beyond impressed. First, the atmosphere. I loved the ambient lighting, brightening without being too harsh, which was lovely since both of us can be extra sensitive with sensory things like lighting and sound. The decor was tasteful, welcoming, and delightful with all the cat art, without being remotely cheesy. The seating was comfortable too, with many options. Each person working there that we interacted with was friendly, full of great ideas, and had lovely energy. Now the most important part: food! Sooo impressed. We each had the truffle gnocchi and shared a salad, plus some lovely cocktails. Not only was the food absolutely delicious and beautifully plated, but they also served a truly satisfying amount of food -- no tiny plates here! We were both delighted at the quality of flavorful ingredients. There were so many other intriguing menu items; I hope to come back to try many more! read more

We went to Gattara, in the Warwick Hotel, for our Thanksgiving meal. Service was good. She was pleasant and personable! The food was terrible, overcooked, cold and just not good. The stuffing was wet and soggy, salmon overcooked and falling apart. Actually, all of the meat was overcooked. They served dark brown gravy that tasted like it was from a package. Cranberries were sour and the sweet potatoes were just potatoes with marshmallows on top. I was so disappointed! We paid $60 per person for food, had wine and drinks x 4 people and left a good tip. All in all it was around $400. So, it was pricey. We had been to the Warwick for Thanksgiving in the past. It's a different restaurant now but, we had great and unique dishes served in our past experiences. It's a nice atmosphere and probably has decent food, from reading others reviews. The food was pretty bland. Our wine also arrived and it was warm. Not sure if that was because the glass was warm or what but it was kind of gross to drink. We went for restaurant week and was not super impressed. The caprese was extremely basic, the pasta lacked flavor and the tiramisu was not even made with real mascarpone. On a Saturday night this spot should be packed. But it isn't...likely because the price point of the food does not match up, nor does the service. A $21+ anywhere else comes with a dinner salad, maybe bread? And decent service. You will get none of the three with your meal here. Just a decent (not homemade) pasta dish and mediocre service. Service has gone severely downhill at this spot, (and all of CapHill TBH!) and just bc it's in a fairly nice hotel, they hike the prices. This restaurant is located in the Warwick hotel. It's right on the corner with a big sign, so it's pretty easy to find. We were excited to eat here because of the pizza and all the cat decor! If you like cats, it has some fun kitty touches. The food I would say was a bit of a let down. The Alfredo wasn't super flavorful and didn't have fresh cheese which takes it to that next top level. Our waitress however was good. She checked on us a couple times, but we did have to wave her down for the check. We went on a Saturday night and it was generously open... no need for reservations! Rating: 3.5-4/5 Overall: This place was very cute. The restaurant is in a hotel, so plan for parking accordingly. The cat theme is definitely concentrated near the bar area and is less prevalent throughout the space. The highlight was the pizza, great crust and interesting flavor combos. Best to skip dessert though. I may come back for the pizza but otherwise happy to have gone once. Drinks: I got the Begal I think, the lemon one. It was okay, very much a sipping drink for how much it hits you over the head with chemically lemon flavor. Apps: Got the caprese salad, pretty surprised it didn't come with any balsamic vinegar or sauce, it wasn't bad but a bit flavorless as the tomatoes just didn't seem ripe. Entrees: The highlight was the pizza. We got the Funguy which is certainly mushroom heavy but the fig and goat cheese work great together. The crust is lovely and flavorful. The braised short ribs were pretty good, the meat was tender and flavorful. I wish there had been more sauce and horseradish. The veggies were almost rubbery, hard to cut through and little flavor at all. Potatoes were yummy. Dessert: The orange sorbet was just not good. It didn't taste like orange at all and had the strangest aftertaste. The Tirimisu was great in comparison but at the end of the day was a pretty run of the mill store bought dessert. Service: It was very slow when we got there at 6. I had a reservation but we clearly didn't need it. Despite the near empty space we got seated in the back corner at a tiny table far away from the cat themed wall which was a bit disappointing. When the place got busy around 7 we hardly saw our server again. Again not the end of the world but notable. read more

The renovated space is awesome with great color tones, comfortable seating and a variety of seating options. Bar. High top. Community table. 2&4 tops. Banquette seating. All great. We live nearby and have watched the renovation take shape and after the annual Yelpies award event we really wanted to come back for dinner and have a quiet enjoyable time. We arrived at 6:45 on Saturday and were seated to Our preference immediately for four. Our waitress came by with water and friendly but slightly awkward chit chat. She knew we were waiting for another couple so wandered off to tend to other things. Our friends arrived shortly after us and I want to say it was another 5-10 minutes before our server approached. It was a good 20 minutes before we got drinks. By then the restaurant had filled up completely. We realized we better order as there was an apparent shortage of server help and a quickly filling restaurant. We all had the short ribs and two baskets of the 10,000 star olive bread. Omg. That is so deliciouss with extra virgin olive oil and sea salt. Seriously this was my favorite thing abouut our experience. We had two glasses of wine, two martinis and 4 short ribs and we spent about $180 with tax and tip. The real bummer here was the lack of quality attentive service. We needed about 50% more attention to make this a five star experience for the price. The two servers here although nice were not a match for the expectations set by the restaurant I really want this place to be successful but they have to dial in the service issue quickly or it will all be over with for the dinner crowd. Valet parking is a nice added option here as well as a separate entrance away from the main hotel entrance at the Warwick. We will definitely give it another shot to see if things improve. read more

I don't want to comment on our specific server because I know this job can be hard, but it looked like they had a large section and were stretched thin. Onto the food, absolutely do not order the pappardelle short rib. I'm basing my food review on Gattara's prices, and at $24, the mark was severely missed. Short rib was tough, dry and cut into long strips -- very off putting. Pasta: over cooked Pizza: ok Salads: good! I'm disappointed because the concept and menu HAVE potential, and in this neighborhood we could really use it. Going to hopefully try again after the short rib passes through my system in 6-7 years. read more

The food here is amazing. Me and my husband stayed here recently for a staycation to get away for a few nights and I was so impressed. The food quality is so fresh and the pizza is made right in front of you like in Italy. The chef even came out and checked on us which made me so happy. You can tell that the staff and place really cares about customer service and the guests. The place has a really nice atmosphere and the bar staff was nice too. Stayed at the Warwick and decided to try Gattara. We ordered the wagyu burger temperature medium, margarita pizza, and Alfredo pasta. The pasta tasted like something out of a can, very bland and no flavor. The Wagyu burger was overcooked and tasted burnt, could not finish it all because it tasted so bad. Amazingly the french fries were also not very good. The pizza was pretty good. However, the quality of the food just did not match the price. Also not a fan of the continental breakfast, which is paid for by the hotel in the morning. The continental breakfast does not come with any protein items and has a very limited selection. Almost feels like the hotel is tricking people by saying they have a continental breakfast, they should be more clear and say that it is a very limited continental breakfast with limited selections of items mostly includes fruit, a pastry, cereal, and jelly. read more

I visited Gattara a few times during my 13-night stay at the Warwick. Twice for dinner and once for lunch. The meals I had were all delicious! Loved the Creamy Pesto Fettuccini; Fig, Goat Cheese, and Funghi pizza; and you can't go wrong with the classic Turkey Club. The servers were super friendly and attentive, and one night the chef came out to say hello and ask how everything was. Gattara was hopping for dinner both nights, but we didn't have to wait as there is ample seating. BONUS: If you're a cat person, there are cat paintings and even cat paw wallpaper (SO CUTE!!). read more

We came to Gattara one evening before seeing a play downtown, and are very glad we stopped in - they were having a Valentine's Day special still, so for $90 offered a shared appetizer, two entrees, two desserts and two glasses of house wine. Our server was excellent and so helpful when we explained our timing, she made sure everything was quick and ran smoothly! The fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was quite good, and the salsiccia pizza was delightful. We got the bread pudding and tiramisu for dessert, and while both were good I think the bread pudding was better. Just to note, it's attached to a hotel so the bathrooms are across the lobby and require a keypad code to enter. I came here for the neopolitan pizzas. I read the reviews and this place seemed to have it dialed in making pizzas. The second part that made me want to go here was the actual cat theme as my daughter loves cats. I attached multiple pictures of the inside of the restaurant. The restaurant is attached to a hotel and has a very nice ambience in the lobby/bar/dining area. We decided to sit at the bar as they were apparently short staffed for the day and we were very hungry and wanted our food fast. We ordered a few drinks along with a margarita and a pepperoni pizza. The server/bartender seemed extremely busy and was working hard to make sure all the guests were happy. The hotel employee that was standing in the lobby had a lousy attitude and seemed to be almost bullying the server/bartender. For that they are not getting 5 stars. The pizzas however was absolutely amazing. The pepperoni was absolutely delicious and the crust was to die for. It made me excited to try more of what they have on the menu and I will definitely go back there shortly. I also ordered a side of garlic aioli to dip the pizza slices in and that worked out perfectly. We stayed at the Warwick and tried to eat here twice on the weekend. The 1st was Friday for lunch. Walked out before getting served because the waiter/bartender was too busy keeping a couple ladies entertained to take table orders. We were the second table to walk out. We are again there for breakfast the morning we checked out which happened to be Mother's Day. The Mother's Day breakfast buffet that they increased the price by 35$ for a holiday that should be cheaper for mothers! The place was very busy and they had 1 waitress. I guess the 60$ breakfast wasn't enough to bring in extra help. Food is average at best and will never eat here again. read more

Stopped in Gattara tonight while visiting a friend in the Warwick hotel. We were both incredibly impressed with the food, drinks and service from the bartender. We shared a pizza and appetizer. The prices are very reasonable for what they offer. Gattara has an extensive menu with so many options to choose from, the portions are generous and the quality was top-notch. The restaurant was much larger than I expected with wonderful classy decor, plenty of space between tables & lounge style seating areas. Just a wonderful ambiance overall for any size group or even to enjoy some time on your own. I live only 4 blocks away from this restaurant and can't believe that I never visited until tonight.
