It's September 14, 2025. I've been to this place before, but only to have a Coca-cola or a beer. Today, I decided to go for lunch and watch football on Sunday. I am surely glad I did. The game started at 11 o'clock AM. There were very few people there, and I was seated at the bar where I had a view of four different games all at once! The staff was friendly and accommodating. There is plenty of parking nearby. The decor is casual and worn. Some people might be tempted to refer to this establishment as a dive bar. Don't do that until you see the menu and try the food. Numerous choices. I had the portobello mushroom sandwich with fries. It was served on a brioche bun that was remarkably delicate. The fries were curly fries and were done just right. I know the bar is extensive, but I would highly recommend the food side of this establishment. I definitely will be back and the prices are excellent.

Traveling thru town we decided to stop here because the food looked delicious thru all social media platforms. We sat in the patio and waited a while to be served our drinks. The waitress was nice but seemed to be moving slow and what I mean she was inside. While I noticed the other waitress and waiter bringing drinks and food to their tables , we were still waiting for our food -45 minutes. The waitress was nice and did apologize for the food running late but that was no excuse, as I saw the other customers that had arrived after us being served. At the end of it all the food was delicious. It was a great pick but just make sure you have time to spare to sit around and wait for your food.

We showed up to Gecko's on a whim during the annual Christmas twinkle light parade. And I must say I'm very happy that we did. I have not been here in a very long time and I think I am going to become a frequent customer. We were served immediately. And that is an understatement with how busy they were. We stopped for a drink to avoid the after traffic mess of everyone trying to leave at the same time. I think others have the same thought because the place was absolutely packed. Despite the madness, the servers were on top of it!! With how understaffed everywhere is, I was surprised with how organized and efficient they were. Not to mention the drinks. They make you any drink that you ask for or whatever is on tap. My husband ordered a local beer and I ordered a local wine. And the way people pour wine is all very different place to place and I will say they give you a good poor here. So I will be coming back 100%. I did not get to try the food but I'm sure it's good. The inside is kind of like any other bar minus the dirtiness . It felt pretty clean there. So overall I will be back again.

The food here is incredible. I try something new every time I come here and am never disappointed. It is a definitely a nice kept secret as it is never too busy.

In my opinion, this is a great place to have a drink and grab a bite after work. They have a full bar and great deals during happy hour. Their menu is pretty decent too and it more than just the regular nachos/fries that some other places offer. You can find an interesting variety of salads, sandwiches (the pastrami and swiss if my fav), burgers, and soups. You may find good deals on margaritas but these are not good at all in my opinion, hence the 4 star review. The attention was good in general so I have no complaints whatsoever with that. Make sure you try their curly fries side, it's absolutely worth it!

The restaurant is tucked away a bit from the road so it may be a little hard to see on your first visit. My dining companion and I arrived at 11:30 so we were a little ahead of the noon time rush. Friendly staff greeted us and seated us. Very interesting decor. If you lean toward the artistic side, you will see touches that will remind you of the infamous meow wolf. It's a focused menu. I went for the classic burger. They call their fries Spudnik and they have a very interesting cut. The potato shape is like a broad, curling wedge, but these are not curly fries. I asked for the smashed burger and it came out with a nice crispy touch. I enjoyed the blue cheese dressing. The brioche bun is very tasty. I would rate this Burger as tops.

She also seemed very distracted and did not have good recall when we were putting in our orders. She came back several times to ask what our drink orders were before finally bringing over the tablet to enter in the information right in front of us. Secondly, our food took forever to come. This also happened the first time we came to eat at social house a year ago, but it felt more pronounced this time. And the restaurant was not full. Probably a third full of patrons? We were seated at 6:45 and our food did not arrive until 830. Quite the wait if you ask me. Finally, the kitchen was having some sort of smoke issue. If you've never been in an establishment where the grease smell and smoke is visibly accumulating in the air, you know it's quite distracting from a dining experience. It was so smoky inside. I actually caught myself blinking my eyes to see if it was just my vision being blurry or if it was the room. Our food was fine, the pork belly was a standout. Otherwise, I'm not sure I need to come here again. I wish that they would get a better handle on service timing, because that seems to be an ongoing issue.

We got a Flight of 4 different beers and "settled" on a fried fish w salad which was ok and their grilled catfish tacos which you had to eat w a fork bc they were too messy to pick up w your fingers.. They tasted ok but the salsa and a pink sauce (?) helped to give them more flavor. The atmosphere was ok and the Friday evening crowd was arriving. We ate inside and our server, Sophia, was very good. It didn't take long to get our dinners except my partner's salad took forever! The salads are included w the meals. My salad was different and good which was a Blackeye pea, corn, & more ingredients. My experience there was disappointing since I wanted ribs and not "soggy" fish tacos. This charming little bistro near the south end of Old Town is elegant, welcoming, and truly a hidden gem. Having convenient on-site parking was a nice bonus, and we were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. Our server, Christopher, made the evening even more memorable. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He also took the time to recommend several local restaurants and places to visit, which we really appreciated. We started with the mussels, and they were outstanding--fresh, tender, and served in a rich, spicy butter broth with perfectly toasted crusty bread for dipping. My cedar plank salmon was cooked beautifully, full of flavor, and paired with a delicious chorizo risotto. My husband ordered the filet mignon, and after trying a bite, I can understand why he said it was one of the best steaks he's ever had. The mushroom risotto and seasonal vegetables were the perfect complement, and the fresh salad with homemade dressing was a great start to the meal. To top off the evening, the staff surprised me with a three-flavor sherbet dessert complete with a birthday candle and a thoughtful personalized birthday card. It was such a sweet touch that made me feel truly celebrated. We couldn't leave without trying the German chocolate cake, and it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable dinner. Everything from the food to the service exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu the next time we're in town.

We arrived just looking to try some local craft brews, a few small bites, and--more importantly--a few minutes away from my sulky, preteen boy. The Good: *This space is really nicely decorated and a chill place to hang. *Service was friendly and fast. *All the beers we sampled were friggin fantastic. Not a dud amongst them, but special big ups to the Super Blueberry Wheat, which was crisp, fruity and refreshing, and my personal favorite the Scotia which packed a nice punch at 8.4%ABV and had a terrific malty sweetness. *Green Chile Falafel Bites were surprisingly good. I'm pretty picky about my Falafel, and these were really great, but I'm not sure where the green chiles came into the equation, as we couldn't taste them. *Carissa had been dying for a salad, and their Santa Fe Chicken hit the spot. Fresh, light, and full of crisp veggies and grilled chicken. The Meh: *Overall the Green Chile Pork Stew was delicious and had good green chile flavor, but it was a bit of a salt lick. I'm not sure if it's one of those purposeful things to get me to drink more beer, but it worked. :0] *Three drink limit? I'm not sure if they're talking about mixed drinks (i.e., cocktails), beers, or both? Regardless, after my third delicious brew, I was pretty much tapped out anyway. The Ugly: *I'm not 100% on this, but I think this neighborhood is a little suspect, especially at night. Rule of thumb: Anything close to a Walgreens is almost guaranteed to be a little hoody. #ProveMeWrong TLDR: Fantastic beer, great food, and amazing service and atmosphere. What more could you possibly need? I'm very jealous of not living nearby. Until next time!
