We were walking through Little Italy with no intention of getting food but decided we wanted an espresso martini (and a bathroom) so popped in. It was a great call as after we sat down, the skies opened up! Once inside and sitting down, the place smelled sooooo good. I looked over the menu and we opted for a pizza. A Margherita. The service was fast and friendly. It was amazing. Better than the slice at Joe's or the cheese pizza we had at John's on Bleecker. The martini was perfect. Highly recommend!

Good experience. Restaurant sits right at the beginning of Little Italy. You can snap a nice photo of the Little Italy sign right out front of the restaurant. My family and I had pizza, salad, pasta and crab cakes. Good place to try. Made a reservation thru Open Table the same day. Went to dinner right before a Yankees game.

We were walking down Little Italy and found this small restaurant with very unique food choices and combination. We started with butternut squash soup with very unique marshmallow in the center of the soup. While it was really good, I was not a fan of the very sweet marshmallow. Bruschetto was really good with a good mix of tomato, mozzarella and balsamic vinegar. Lamb pizza was the first time I tried and heard of and it was really good, but of course you need to like lamb flavor. Must try would be the pistachio pesto pasta because it was REALLY good and unique. I would definitely come back for this as this is the only place I've seen this and it does taste really pistachio forward. Our waiter was super friendly and the busboy definitely gave us all the parmesan that we wanted on the pizza. Yumm!

Came here with a group and got seated outside on the sidewalk - a pretty good environment! The dishes we tried (pesto pasta, vodka pasta, chicken picatta) were all quite good, but our waiter did forget our spicy kale caesar order, and we were in quite a rush to go. So not the best service, but the food is decent given the touristy location!

From Amici Ristorante, where everything went sideways, we abandoned, and went up the road to here. We were greeted very warmly and immediately offered a table for three and promptly seated. The ambiance was industrial with a semi-open kitchen, lots of tomato cans and other things for decoration. It was intimate without being super intimate. The staff (Javier) were super attentive, with Javier and the team doing their best to make us feel very welcome, unobtrusively clearing tables, and doing everything right to make the dining experience entirely about us. The truffle pasta dish was amazing. Fresh pasta, very good. Well balanced. Guest reported that the fra diaviolo pizza was very good, but spicy. It does carry heat, so be careful. The chicken parm is also good, but a lot. The pistachio gelato was also very good, as was the port wine. The Galliano was great - that they had it - but they asked if I wanted it neat or on the rocks. I asked for it neat, but was surprised they served it in a rock glass; it should be in an apertive glass like a port or other cordial. Definitely recommend versus some of the other places for Italian nearby.

Really enjoyed everything about this place. I arrived way before my reservation and was able to get a drink at a high top while I waited for the table. Our waitress was really kind and helpful in recommending dishes that would go well together and was able to put an order of a side dish pasta to go with our chicken parm instead of forcing us to get a whole separate pasta dish. Calamari - 3.5/5 came out really fast and hot but the centers were a bit soggy although outside was crispy Chicken parm - 4/5 massive chicken dish although the chicken itself is quite thin. Needed a bit more tomato sauce but overall decent -- spaghetti side dish - 4/5 really solid pasta Lamb ragu pasta - 5/5 this was the best dish everything was cooked to perfection Would come here again to try other dishes but will skip the calamari.

What a gorgeous location! The service was spectacular. Our server was sweet, attentive and even kept encouraging us to stay and enjoy as long as we'd like. We went for an early dinner and it wasn't too busy. We ordered Nebbiolo, the mushroom pizza, and the carbonara pasta. Soooo good!! Perfect to share on a girls date. We did not have room for dessert but I'm hoping we will be back to try some more.

I give Gelso & Grand high marks for being (ironically) one of the few Italian restaurants in Little Italy that isn't a sucky tourist trap. The ambience is warm and homey, and the pasta is actually legit. You'll find mostly local NYers here. Have tried the pesto, truffle pacchieri, and lamb campanelle, the latter of which is one of my favorite pastas in NYC so far.

Good food good vibe They were gracious when we were running late and moved our reservation back half an hour Good service and really fast food $150 for three people. We got 2 frosés, 2 glasses of Pinot noir, and shared calamari, chicken Parmesan, and spaghetti with meatballs

Expect good food but pricey! My friends and I got the truffle arancini, Brussel sprouts, truffle french fries, bruschetta of ricotta and figs and some drinks. The food was pretty good, we liked everything we ordered. Good mix of flavors and ratios. The service was quick and the restaurant is just in the middle of Little Italy so the area is very lively.

I came here for dinner today on Halloween and they really made the interior decorated for the holiday. It was really nice and it's huge inside, with a downstairs area for private events. Upon walking in, there's a bar to the left, but we sat at a table to eat. I tried their Bone Marrow Bruschetta which was nice and fatty. It came with 3 pieces of bread but I wish they gave 4. It was still really delicious! My friend got the Sausage & Broccoli Rabe Wood Fired Pizza which was quite big. I got the Guanciale Carbonara. Pasta texture was the perfect al dente which I loved and the egg yolk added a nice creamy texture to the dish. Prices are on par for Manhattan Italian food. It's a good spot!

Very good simple Italian place, great people watching at the outdoor tables on a spring day in SoHo. The service is fast and attentive. The pizza had a great, chewy crust. The fresh made pasta was a little softer than I would have liked, but the sauce had a light, fresh flavor. Next time we will try the dessert.

Hi Delilah, We have Coke, Sprite, Ginger Ale, Diet Coke, and Orange Soda. Thanks!

How do I make a reservation for a family of 12?

Management was very accommodating on various levels - no need to describe the details as it's not relevant for an average review. know before you go - you literally have no other cheese but to have cheese in your pasta. Note that this is not a place for lactose intolerant kinds. I thought the concept was fresh pasta (which it is) but their ultimate menu items must include that cheese wheel. So fine. I figured they can at least give a non-cheese dish but rules are the rules. The place was packed on a weekend early evening. Lines were not forming (like it showed in the viral videos) but they were cooking up quite a bit at the front, because of carry out orders. Either way, on all angles - literally pretty much everything is ALL good and very positive. However, the one thing that needs to be addressed is that wheel made of cheese. Whoever created that chunk of a wheel, kudos to them/company. By golly - that gargantuan of a wheel was so filled with calories - I kid you not, it almost converted me to being lactose intolerant! So if you're about to have triple bypass the next day, I do not recommend this joint until you're fully healed. Yes, the flavors were good, but the cheesey elements were just too too rich. You also cannot tell them to lessen it, it's just set the way they cook the pasta within that barrel. Otherwise, the decor/ambience was nice, and tidy aspects really show through. Customer service was wonderful. Support your local businesses!

The place wasn't super crowded, but there were eventually some people there. The place felt comfortable, and the service was friendly. To drink, I got the Blood Orange Negroni for $17 with Hendricks gin, Campari, sweet vermouth, fresh blood orange juice, and a slice of orange as garnish. I usually prefer Negronis that lack Campari as I find that liquor to be a bit too sweet, at least as far as amaro goes, but this was tasty and better balanced as the juice and gin helped to reduce the sweetness. I would recommend it. They gave us some fresh bread with some good olive oil to begin with, which was tasty. Our only appetizer was the $18 Fried Trio, listed as a tempting mix of crispy fried goat cheese w/ honey & chili oil, carbonara arancini, and capers croquettes. This also came with some tomato sauce for dipping, presumably primarily for the arancini. My preference of the bunch was the fried goat cheese due to the bit of funk and spice. I also liked the arancini as the texture was nice, while my least favorite were the croquettes. This was a nice mix, though perhaps a bit salty. For main dishes, we got two pastas, which were both $19, and two entrees. My favorite of the entrees easily was the Mushroom & White Truffle Lasagna with shiitake, porcini, and cremini blend of mushrooms, béchamel sauce, truffle ricotta, and fresh mozzarella on top. Many lesser spots would mix all these things and make the dish a bit too earthy or almost perfumy from the truffle and mushroom flavor, but not this one. There was just enough of the béchamel and cheese that it was pretty balanced. The pasta texture was nice also. This was rich but delicious, and easily worth the price. I wasn't as big a fan, though that is more because of a caveat, of the Hot Rigatoni Vodka With Guanciale & Sausage, listed as rigatoni pasta in a creamy, spicy vodka sauce, paired with rich guanciale and spicy sausage. I generally prefer guanciale in dishes like pasta alla gricia rather than in already spicier tomato sauces, as I tend to find that the flavor doesn't shine through as much. Otherwise, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and there was plenty of meat inside. We liked both of the mains also. A slight preference goes to the Flounder a la Francese for $26, with lightly battered flounder pan-fried to golden perfection and finished with a delicate white wine and lemon butter sauce. It was a large piece of fish, and it was indeed tender with a light batter. There were plenty of capers, but it wasn't too salty, and the bit of pasta on the side was perfectly cooked as well. I would recommend this. Our last entree was the $34 Short Ribs With Polenta, consisting of tender, slow-braised short ribs over a creamy bed of polenta. The texture of the polenta was nice, and the short ribs were indeed tender, but not too fatty. This was the plainest of the entrees, but it was still tasty. This was a tasty Italian spot with quality food at reasonable prices. I would definitely go back.

I liked the texture of the pasta, and the pesto layers of Parmesan, walnuts, and basil were there. My friend's gnocchi wasn't satisfying for her, and I was able to see why. The gnocchi was more doughy than al dente while slightly chewy. It felt like biting into a potato mochi. Just way too chewy, borderline mushy. It's not a texture you would expect with gnocchi. We tore up the focaccia bread and burrata salad appetizer, though. The server also provided us complimentary tiramisu after we honestly pointed out we weren't charged the right bill, which was half our original amount. Aside from my friend's dish, everything else was fantastic! Great food and ambiance.

The flavors aren't so bad overall and if you have a pasta itch it'll scratch. But I've tried other places better at a similar or even cheaper price point with protein added in. I got the "some like it hot" while my friend got "midnight desire" with burrata added in. I paid about 22 for each dish. Now for my thoughts - flavor for "some like it hot" was not bad, sauce was a slight bit watery for my liking. The spice was nice and I liked that part the most. Pasta was "OK". The ravioli was stuck together for some, filling was adequate but, I would've liked a little more. I don't want to sound harsh, but it was all around just an ok spot. Maybe it was just that day. Burrata added is nice, I took mine to go do sadly it was melted on top (recommend to pack the burrata separately for to go orders) - "midnight desire" is basically vodka and the flavor for this one was kind of odd for me.
