Wow! What happened to Gen Sushi? That was probably one of the worst sushi experiences I've ever had. They did not have a single serving of nigiri on the conveyor belt. Nothing tasted fresh or looked fresh for that matter. Just about everything available was some selection that included imitation crab. The only reason why I gave two stars was because both of the waitresses were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Keep in mind that I realize Gen Sushi is not a five-star dining experience to begin with. My expectations were well matched with the type of fast food sushi experience that it truly is. I ordered from here a lot during the start of the pandemic and they have some good deals. Finally came in the other week to sit down and eat alone and it was a pleasant experience. Fast service and even though it was later in the evening they still had a good variety of plates out. Will come here to eat in again! read more

I don't like the food at Gen Sushi. Everything on the menu just feels the same like any other sushi place. I usually got salmon and tuna related things from there, it was OK for awhile but I just got so tired of it. I tried so many other dishes from there and they just weren't good. Spicy salmon had a mushy texture to it, a lot of the sushi was too soft, and the overall taste for a lot of them were just mush. Tasted like rice, salmon, and some other shit mushed together; terrible taste. Sushi places in Gresham just aren't that good I guess. Only good one I can think of is Bento Plus but even that's a little pricey. read more

Service is probably pretty nice and I'd honestly give it another try. However, today was our first time trying it and it was quite bland. We ordered edamame, calamari, and potstickers. Would not order any of those again to be honest. The potsticker was like fried rather than your tradition pan fried and didn't have enough meat in it. The edamame was flavorless and the calamari didn't have its crunch to it. The sushi however does look good so if I came again I'd probably try that! Really wanted to give it more stars but it just wasn't for me. read more

After craving sushi for several days I popped into this place and I'm glad I did. Food was great and price is incredibly fair. They are only doing carry out as of the time of this review, so come prepared to leave as soon as you get your food. I was very disappointed in the size of sushi roll, I ordered 4 rolls and they were so small I ate one whole roll in two bites. Also I called in and they gave me no time frame they just said they would call but after waiting 40 minutes I called them and the lady said it was ready. First time trying Gen Sushi have to say the food was amazing. I had the tempura veggies w/ shrimp, California Roll and the Tempura Shrimp Roll And it was pretty great. Very good Sushi. I'm glad this place opened up in Gresham. Hard to find decent Sushi around here. All ingredients tasted fresh. I liked the yakisoba also. If you enjoy Sushi then I highly recommend Gen Sushi. Keep this place open. read more
